Hello all! I'm new to BubHub, sort of new to Sydney (from the US, then Adelaide) and a new mum as well, to a 3 month old!
I'm realling interested in meeting mums as we don't know more than two people out this way (who have now become my husband's employers), and it's really dragging me down being at home with the bub all day, every day. Especially since my son is actually enjoying our few outings!

I see I've just missed a get together, so if another one is being planned can I be included on the info? I'm in Rydalmere, if that helps.

Looking forward to chatting with everyone!

Renee

Thanks! I'll try to make it! Although in reading it (now) I'm sort of confused when it is! lol Oh and um, where? I'm fairly certain it's at 10:30 tho, so I'm good on one count, right? ha!

Thanks Jate! I'm going to the one tomorrow, and I'll have to keep an eye out for the next one too. lol
We can't make it to the parents only bit, as we really don't know anyone here to watch him, and the only people we do know, he's not too fond of yet, as he's only seen them twice. I also think the "she" of the couple is a bit iffy around kids, although the "he" is quite keen to get going on it. lol

Hi Kelly! I swear I posted a reponse to this before! I'm from Chicago. Where are you from?

I just found this thread the other day. I am from New York. I have been here initially since 2000 but we (my husband and I) went back for a little over a year.

We returned to Australia about 2 years ago and now have a 4.5 month old. I bet it is hard being here without your family. My husband is Australian so I have his family at least. It isn't a substitute but it helps!

It is pretty hard some days. I think I miss them most simply because they're missing out on my son. :( But with my family being the way they are, it's actually easier to parent without them around. If that makes sense? We can raise our son the way we want, without fighting them. I still have to put up with the chatter a bit, but it's easy enough to ignore in email! haha

I can understand that completely. We are actually going back for a holiday soon and I am already worrying about it!
