I'm so expecting my bubs to arrive on the 2nd august! It's a Thursday this year and I just have a gut feeling about it!! Funny if it happens.
I'd love to live in cordeaux heights, I'm always looking at rental
Properties there. We need at least a 5brm house though and they don't come cheap...
Sent from my iPhone
No they don't. We live in a 3 bedroom townhouse and when we decide to have another bub after this one we will need to find another place as this house will be too small.
Are you going private or public?

I've booked in with dr greening to go private just incase I have a high risk pregnancy. I'm 36 (today), had pre eclampsia last time, and my gut tells me twins, so thought it would be wise to go private. If I find out at my scan it's just one bubba (scan tmrw) I might re think whether I go private or public... What do u think? What r u doing??

Happy birthday!!!
I am going private under Dr Davis as I am classed as high risk due 2 blood conditions. I went through the private system when I had my son and was really happy.
I work at Wollongong so I didn't want everyone to know I was having the baby here as they would all want to watch lol

I don't see Dr Coleman and I don't know of anyone that does. I see Dr Davis.
Kimnus- I am going to Wollongong hospital through the antenatal clinic. The clinic has been excellent. Had a few concerns early on so was put in high risk and the care has been outstanding so far.
Tiger 12- I have heard ppl say that Dr Coleman is great, so I'm sure you have nothing to worry about :-) is this your first bub?

I am going through his private rooms as I am high risk and he was great when I had my son. I work in Wollongong hospital so didn't really want to have my baby there as I work in recovery and need to have a c-section.

Hi ladies, I'm due in August but have been having a few probs. LuluM, I think it was u who has replied to my "small gestational sack" topic! I didn't realize u were so close!
I'm seeing dr greening but thinking I might just go to Wollongong's public system. I'm also high risk, does this mean we see dr's on a wednesday? Is it just Davies on a Wednesday there? How do I go about getting in there? Any help would be appreciated.
It's just that dr greening doesn't think I'll get past 24 weeks, and I can't justify paying $3000 if I'm gonna have a baby that soon, and he won't be the delivering doctor. So thinking I might as well just go through public health system.

We are close, both in the gong :-)
What did you decide to do re care? I am with the high risk clinic at Wollongong and have had excellent care. I mostly see a midwife consultant. I just went in to the antenatal clinic to get in. By the sounds of your other post, bubs will make it well past 24 weeks.

I decided to stay where I was and I'm glad I did. I see the midwife there each fortnight and straight after i see the dr. The yellow card is all filled in
Now, and yes they did have it all in their books there but I just wanted it on the yellow card in case any unforeseen circumstances arose. Yes dr very happy at the moment with pregnancy. Says we will still
Monitor closely, but all things looking up n good. He asked if I had been saying lots of prayers and of course I have!! Very happy with things now!!
So when r u due??

Oops, I see your due July!! We are only a month apart 😄
Hi! I'm due end of July, and thought I'd throw in my two cents about Dr Coleman.
I first saw him early 2011 as a gyno, and ended up having fairly extensive cervical procedures done with him privately. He was amazing, even leaving his child's bday on a Friday night to meet me in figtree to assess some post op bleeding I was having. He also came in on the sat morning to see how I was before I was discharged.
I now see him through the MGP at Wollongong public and although I am classed as 'potential' high risk, he is so positive about our outcomes.
The one thing I give him is that he is so down to earth, couldn't find a better 'explainer' or someone less dramatic - which is good in my books.
Would love to stay in touch with some Wollongong mums as I don't have a lot of female friends and am finding my usual outings with the man and our mutual (mostly male) friends aren't as great when you don't drink!
X
Angenrod - glad you are happier with your care now. How is everything going? We are due very close :-)
Cakeish - how are you going? Saw you in the July due date group. Are you in the Facebook group? It's a lovely group and the bub hub due date group seems to be very quiet now days.
Will be great to have other Wollongong mums to chat to, especially due so close :-)
Are you guys doing any prenatal yoga or other classes in the area?
Are you guys doing any prenatal yoga or other classes in the area?
I have thought about classes but I don't know of anyone who does them
Hi Lu!
I haven't seen the Facebook group, how do I search for it? Yep, I agree that the July due date thread has pretty much died.
I'm not doing any classes, mainly because it took me so long to get through the morning sickness stage! I'm thinking of starting at Younga Yoga..it's about $20 a class though, so combined with our renovations and *just announced* engagement, it's a bit exxy. Are you doing any? Id be keen to see what was available.
We are signed up to do antenatal classes through the normal public clinic, as dp wants to do them and the MGP only has a 'meet the midwives' night where they go through common things, and give you a chance to meet the other three midwives in case your assigned one is busy with another woman.
Hey, I have a question someone here might be able to help with:
I have PHI but I'm not covered for obstetrics. Am I able to birth in the public hospital, and then transfer to figtree private for the recovery? If so, would I only need to pay my excess, or do I need to pay a nightly fee?
My family never had PHI growing up so I know very little about it, and when I ask the company they just spurt out a whole heaps of jargon that means nothing to me!

You will probably need to pay the fee as you will be in the obstetric part of the hospital. Maybe ring your PHI to see if you can. I think it will also depend if there is a bed available as well.

Cakeish- to my knowledge, you can't transfer to figtree if u give birth at Wollongong. I wanted to do the same but I was told I couldn't. I am
Covered by obstetrics and it didnt make any difference. :-(
Dr Coleman sounds really nice, sounds like your in good hands.
AFM- I'm doing pretty good right now. Dr has been very happy with latest scans. I still have fortnightly scans, which I don't mind, it keeps me at ease. I'm being watched like a hawke by my doc, so much better than before. I'm 22 weeks today! Yay!!
Im not doing any kind of classes. I'm too worried about doing too much so I only do what I have to do, as it is. We are moving house next thursday, so really looking forward to moving into our first home!! Been packing up the house for the past 5 weeks.
Hey girls,
Hope all is well with you all :-)
Sorry I can't help with Qs about PHI, we are just sticking with Wollongong, so no help here!!
As for classes, I was thinking of yoga as well, there are some in Woonona which is close for me, I think it's Kailesh Yoga or something like that. It's on a Monday which suits better than the younga for me. I agree though, they are quite expensive. We started our antenatal classes at the hospital on Wednesday too. I'm keen for these as it's our first bub and we don't know what to expect :-)
Angenrod, how's your little one going? How did the house move go?
Cake ish, private message apple isle mum from the July group to get the Facebook link.
I must be the only one expecting in september lol. I had my 19 week scan and found out we are having a girl, which is great! We already have a beautiful boy.

Hi ladies, all still progressing quite well here. We move this Thursday and Friday!! I'm so excited about it. The house we've bought is so lovely.
I'm not far off a September due date.. Mines august 30th. Lol. I have asked the girls in the August due date group to join the fb page too, but they were not very helpful, so I havent bothered about it.
Kim- u must be so thrilled to be having a girl!! One I each, very lucky!! This is my second too. I have a girl (15yrs) and expecting a boy! I feel so blessed.
I'm not doing any antenatal classes as I'm expecting to have a ceaser. Just hoping I get to at least 36 weeks so I can go to figtree to have bubs.
Kim- lovely news, a little girl :-) ours is a surprise. I am thinking boy at the moment but keep changing my mind, so really will be surprised when it arrives!
Ang- glad bub is doing so well. Goodluck with the move :-)
AFM all going well, belly is really starting to grow heaps now and bubs seems to have the hiccups a lot :-) feeling good too.
Hi Everyone.
Thought I would join in with you all. Not long lived in the area (Bulli) and am keen to meet some new people/mummies. My husband and I have a 2yo daughter and we are expecting our second little miracle in November. We are 14 weeks and so far so good. We had a mc earlier in the year so this time around we were so nervous but fingers crossed. Anyway Hi! How is everyone feelings? In love with those gorgeous bumps i bet. :)

Hi Ekos- welcome and congrats on making it to 14 weeks!! I'm 10 weeks ahead of you however have been told I would deliver early, so may have a bubs anywhere from now.... Am hoping to get to 2nd of August though. I have 4 kids (1 is mine, 15 yrs old, other 3 step kids that I raise, aged 14,10 and 8.
I've just moved to Unanderra from west Wollongong. Hope we get to know each other. Keep us up to date on your pregnancy too. Do u have your own Ob or using public hospital?
Hi Angenrod
Im going private with Dr Basheer. Meet her Monday 28th. We moved from Albury so had to go with whoever I could get into. Hope she is good.
Fingers crossed your little munchkin stays put for a while. My daughter was 10 weeks early and we were holidaying in NZ so we spent 9 weeks in NICU before the drs would let her fly. So if you need to talk about prem babies I can help a little. Looking forward to getting to know you too.

Hi ladies, I had my little girl in March and went private with Dr Greening. He was amazing!
I had a low risk, drama free pregnancy but ended up having a c section due to breech baby and then developed pre eclampsia on the day of my c section! Ended up in intensive care for 4 days...
Dr Greening was there every day checking in on me and visited me every day after that in the maternity ward until I went home. He has a wonderful bedside manner and is an excellent doctor. I highly recommend him.

Future ma- I'm with dr greening too!! He is lovely and is taking great care of me. Did u go to figtree for your c section? What did u think of the hospital? Any tips???
Hi Ekos and future ma, great to see more Wollongong mums on here :-)
Angenrod, great to hear you are still travelling well. Love to hear the baby is defying the odds and proving everyone wrong :-)
I am 32 weeks and starting to feel huge now. All going well. Look forward to chatting more!
So I realise this post was started a while ago, I am almost identical to Kimnus, also from Cordeaux Heights and due 18th September! I am going with the MGP at Wollongong hospital and am very happy with them so far. I love that if I have a concern I can just ring them and not have to worry about making an appointment, going in to see the doc etc. Is anyone else here going with them?
I am hoping for a natural drug free birth, hopefully a waterbirth if the bath at wollongong is big enough lol!
Hi all new ladies!
I'm with the MGP, but due in July. Very happy with it so far, but not sure if you can do a waterbirth at Wollongong public? Maybe ask your midwife about their homebirth option, if you really want?
I've got 10 weeks left, cannot wait!
Also, just found the Facebook group...for those having difficulty, search bubhub Illawarra and it should appear.

Hi ladies- what is MGP? Sounds like they are into deal with. I will search for the fb group too.
Welcome saralou. I'm not far from you, I'm in Unanderra. I have 4 kids, ranging from 15-8. 3 are step kids, only 1 is actually mine. I'm raising them all though. This will be my second bub, but 5th child in the family (if u know what I mean). I'm due Aug 30th but will most likely deliver early to mid august.
hello :)
cakeish you can do waterbirth at wollongong, but they are bathtubs, not birthing pools as such. So there is one room that has its own and then another one is apparently in the hallway or something? eek... haha not sure about that! Who knows what may happen on the day though :) You must be so excited with only 10 weeks to go! Who is your midwife? I have Yvonne she is great so far.
Argenrod MGP is midwifery group practice (I think!) they only take around 360 places a year so I had to get in very early (7 weeks I believe it was) and its where you have the same midwife all the way through the pregnancy, delivery and after bubs is born. I really preferred it to the ob option where I won't really know who will be with me for half/all of my delivery. Could get a crabby ward midwife or a lovely one and being a first time mum I couldn't handle it if I got a nasty one :(
Wow you must be amazing to be raising all those children :)
Seeing as I am only new here I would like to search your posts to know why you are likely to deliver early rather than make you explain again but not sure if I can figure that out just yet!...

Hi saralou- nah that's ok, in a nutshell, the gestational sac from 7 weeks was 2 weeks behind in growth. So my baby was measuring 7w5d and the sac surrounding him was measuring 5w4d. So had to have weekly scans to 13 weeks. They said to prepare for the worst, but praise God, we got there! Then at the NT results, the scan looked fine but my bloods were extremely bad. I had 1:3 of downs, 1:55 and 1:108 for trisomy 18 &13, both which are fatal abnormalities. Had to have a CVS and the specialist told us we had a 99.9% chance of the baby being abnormal. Praise God again, specialist was wrong and all tests came back great! Then we discover baby has a two vessel cord instead of the normal 3. So from 13 weeks, I've had fortnightly scans. My doc still said he didn't think I'd get to 24 weeks but to hope for the best! Once again, God is good, as I'm now at 25 weeks!! Doc thinks there are many reasons why I will have an IUGR baby. I also had pre eclampsia in my last pregnancy.
Thanks for explaining MGP! I've never heard of them. Sorta jealous now!! They sound great.
Hope your doing well!
oh wow you have really been through it haven't you :( Looks like someone above is looking after your baby-to-be though! I guess you wouldn't have been able to go with the MGP anyway as you would definately be classified high risk... So how is bubs measuring now? Have you had any signs of pre-eclampsia this time?
Yes I am well thanks, everything has been ok with me and my bubs, besides HG in first trimester that put me in hospital on the drip after not keeping even sips of water down for days, and 2 bouts of gastro (which made one more emergency ward visit) and other than that just that I was quite nervous for my nuchal ultrasound as my little sister had downs syndrome, and 2 holes in her heart at birth, she got a pacemaker and was one sick little bubby. She only made it to 20 months, we lost her when I was only 5 (this is 20 years ago though, so medical technology has come A LONG way), so I was scared of having increased chances but luckily the tests came back clear. I didn't want to do a CVS or amnio based only on the family history unless the indicator test showed high risk but its really low so I'm happy with that. I would of kept it anyway, I love him/her already just from ultrasound views, I guess you can only look on the bright side that you get to see bubby often on ultrasound..... Best of luck I'd love to keep updated :hugs:

Saralou- I'm SO sorry to hear that you and your family lost your sis at such a young age. That would be so devistating. My heart breaks for families that lose children :(
So far I have no signs of pre eclampsia and bubs is measuring exact to dates. He is at the 35 percentile. Anything between 10-90% is classed normal.
Will definitely keep you updated.

No I don't :(
Its probably much more active over there is it? It's so quiet in here!! How is your little bub going? It's getting close now! I've just finished up my TAFE for the term and have decided not to go back until next year *maybe*. I'll still be studying via correspondence from home. I finish work in 8 weeks! :cheerleader1:

Oh yeah it sometimes gets chatty but not always.
Yeah progressing ok. Had a scan yesterday and poor little bubba is now in 6th centile and amniotic fluid is decreasing which are both no good signs. I'm seeing a maternal fetal specialist some time this week, just waiting on my Ob to call today to give me the details. Chances are bub will be here within 2 weeks :( little early but I it's in bubbas best interest then I'm ok with it.
Yay for finishing work in 8 weeks!! Hopefully those 8 weeks fly for you.
Congrats on finishing Tafe for the year. How hard will it be to study via correspondence? I would imagine it to be extremely hard.
I'll keep u posted on progress and if u ever do get fb, let me know. I'm happy to chat to u in here though. I spend a fair but of time in bubhub! Lol
Hi Angenrod and Sarelou,
I hadnt checked in for a while and thought I would today. Wow Ange how many weeks are you now? Crossing my fingers and everything else I have for you.
Sarelou how are you feeling with the countdown to finishing work?
So does that make bub about 8 weeks early? You are right, its not ideal, but I was 6 weeks early 25 years ago so I am sure you will both be ok!.. And as you said before you have both done really well to get this far - sounds like a little fighter in there to me! What does this mean about your birth options? Do you have to have a caesar? If so are you feeling ok about that? Good good luck and please keep me updated I'd love to know when it all goes ok and you get to meet your darling little baby :hugs:
Ekos I am so excited! I can't wait to meet my baby! We haven't found a replacement yet, or even started looking so hopefully we do that soon. We are only a small office (4 people including myself) so really needs to get underway! I'm going to be on maternity leave from 4 weeks prior to my due date so hopefully I don't go late or crazy in the meantime!
How long do you have to go?
oh and in regards to TAFE by correspondence - it is so hard! I am doing book keeping so it blows my mind sometimes. (Ok alot of the time!) Thats why I transferred some units to TAFE so I could go to class and have an actual teacher to ask questions. But doing that two nights a week plus working full time, and the exam and assignment deadlines, I was starting to stress too much and losing sleep, plus not eating a proper dinner on those nights so I decided to drop the rest of this years classes and just continue the correspondence.. I'll get there with determination hopefully! But I wouldn't recommend it unless it was for an easy course.

Hi ekos- I'm currently 29+5 today. So if i go soon, I'll be 10 weeks early... Hence why I'm hoping to get to 32 weeks which puts me 8 weeks early, however if u look at 37 being full term, it's really only 5-7 weeks early.. I still have not heard from my doc, and was hoping to by 3pm today. I did call his office, and they said he'll either call me today or tmrw... Grrrrr I really want to know today what is going to happen.
Oh.... Hang in there hopefully he will ring you first thing in the morning :fingerscrossed:
Hey Ange any news? Been thinking about you!
Hi Ange,
Any word from the doc yet. 30 weeks is ok. It's not ideal but your little one sounds like a fighter. I had Carrington at 30weeks. We are here for you.
Hi Sarelou,
I was studying when I fell with my daughter. Was planning to start another diploma into degree the year she was born but I just thought it was going to be too much. I was working FT teaching ballet PT and trying to study all in first trimester. Thankfully I was almost finished my Cert 3 so I did that and did not re-enrol. I wanted to focus on bub. Thankgod I did we went on a quick hol to NZ just after Easter 2010 Carrington came 10 weeks early and I eventually bought her home in June. You can only do what you can. I didn't want the assignment stress either with a new bub.
Found and was accepted into the fb page yay.

Hi girls- I went to figtree hospital this morning for my regular ctg scan. The midwife was so lovely, i told her I was still waiting for a phone call, do she calls my Ob and stressed my anxiety and he said he still hadn't heard anything and that is why I havnt heard anything. He told her to tell me to call again in an hour.
After scan (which almost took an hour) she called his office again and the receptionist said same thing.. Except that they would call me when they heard anything.
At 11.30am I get a call from maternal fetal medicine unit a royal women's hospital. They asked me if I knew about the appointment that had been made for YESTERDAY!!!! I was like "NO... I've been calling my Ob constantly, he said he had not heard from you at all"!!! She said,
Well it must have been miscommunication coz we told him Monday night to send u in first thing thing Tuesday morning!! Anyway, she re scheduled me in for next Monday. She assured me all will be ok until then but if I had any concerns, to go to figtree. So on Monday they are doing thorough scans and will come up with a plan of action. At least by next Monday I will know a lot more.
Glad to see u on fb ekos. Also, where did u deliver your baby at 30 weeks? Why was she born so early? Have there been any problems since? Did u get steroid injections before she was born? (sorry, I am assuming u had a girl, please forgive me If you had a boy). Any advice u can give me??
Thanks for asking girls. I will keep u posted!!
How frustrating! Have you had any experience with RHW yet? I was speaking with a dad of twins a little while ago and they had to be monitored/delivered at RHW as one of the twins only had two vessels in the cord i think it was. He said the care there was amazing, and when they transferred to wollongong all they wanted was to go back to randwick! I think you will be in good hands there. Thanks for updating and good luck, keep posting
Ange,
Husband and I thought we would have a baby moon at 30weeks. We had planned a big round the world thing but I chickened out and we decided just two weeks in new Zealand. I had what I thought was a cold. By day two of hold I was having temps and my husband put me in the car and took me to emergency at rotorua. Less than 48hrs later I was in labour and Carrington was born. Side effect of kidney infection is early onset/spontaneous labour. They got steroids in about 8am but she was born at 1pm so didn't really do much. There is a longer story but not sure if you want the whole NICU story BUT she is a normal happy 2yo now. With dual citizenship. Like the NICU wasn't enough we had to deal with the aus embassy to bring her home. As I said bit of a story from birth to flight back to abutting want to bore/scare anyone but all ok in the end.
Best advice I can give is take each day in the NICU as it comes. There will ups and downs but you will get there eventually. One of the nurses wanted me to keep a daily journey. At the time I thought it was a waste of my energy. Its now something I treasure and read every year on the same dates and just marvel at what we went through and how Carrington progressed.

Ekos- thanks for sharing. I plan to keep a journal and put photos in it too. How very traumatic for you. Lucky u didn't book a round the world holiday!! NZ is a beautiful place and Carrington is lucky to have dual citizenship.
Saralou- no I have not had any dealings personally with RWH.
I have a friend who had twins at 29 weeks there and she also said they were awesome there. My bub also has a 2 vessel cord (yes just another complication) which adds to the growth problem that already exists. I'm glad to hear of the positive experiences ppl have at RWH, I hope bub is delivered there if I go before 32 weeks.
Ange
Good luck today. Thinking of you and let us know how you go :hugs:

Thanks saralou- today went well. Dr seems to think i will get to 32 weeks if not more. He says baby is in 16th centile (which is odd as for the last 4 weeks it's been declining and then today goes up 10%???) and also my amniotic fluid levels are also up from 10.8 to 13.?.... So I can only put it down to one of two things. 1) God is keeping this baby going miraculously!! (I believe this one) or 2) someone is making errors...???
I see my own Ob tmrw and I guess we take I from there...
The dr I saw today did say that he has NEVER seen anyone with as low Papp-a as mine, get this far in a pregnancy.... So miracle right there!
I also go back to RHW next Monday for another scan.
Will update again then! Looks like I'll be delivering in Wollongong and would be even better if I get to 36 weeks coz then it's figtree!!
That is SO good I was surprised and sooo happy to read that!! Keep on hanging in there little bubba! :smiliedance:
Hi Ange,
Good luck with your scan today. Just checked in for an update and towing ur post so I will continue to cross my fingers for you.

Hi all- I had 2 scans yesterday (2 different places) and they were pretty much the same (which was re assuring). Bub is growing steadily, now in 7th centile. I've got a gut feeling I'm gonna get to 36 weeks!! If I do, I'll still have a tiny bub, but that's fine with me :)
It's mostly bubs femur length that is pulling the centile down at the moment. Bubs legs are at 28 weeks (from memory) but most other measurements are at 30 weeks (and I'm 32 weeks as of Thursday)
Most likely to deliver in Wollongong Hosp and then transfer to figtree if all is well with both of us :)
I see Ob today so praying he might agree on an actual c section date for me! Hoping, praying its 2nd August!!!
So happy to report a good update :)
Great news yay! Been waiting for your update :)
Hi girls,
Sorry I've been MIA for a while. Glad to read everything going well for you all. Angenrod, super news about your bub continuing to defy the odds!!
We welcomed our baby boy to the world on Sunday 1 July! He is absolutely perfect! Had excellent care at Wollongong hospital. Ended up having an emergency C section. The staff from the birthing unit to surgery to recovery and aftercare in the maternity ward were outstanding!
Look forward to hearing more about your journeys x

Oh wow big congratulations LuluM. What is his name and how far along were you? so glad to hear of your experience at Wollongong. I booked in there yesterday and I'm a little worried as I had my heart set on figtree. Dr G thinks I will definitely go before 36 weeks, hence why I had to book in. I'm also going there for 3 ctg's a week now.
How Long did u stay for? Did they make you have the baby on your own the night of the c section? That's
What I'm worried about mostly.

I am glad that my recovery girls were good to you. I am currently on maternity leave but they are a great bunch of people.

Thanks girls! Everything is going really well so far. Bubs name is Kynan and he came at 39 weeks. He went to the nursery the first night after my c section because he had some fluid on the lungs and had to have antibiotics. It was really good for me to recover, but I believe most babies are in with their mums if they don't need care. If your bub comes before 36 weeks he will def be in the nursery i would think. They wheelchaired me down to see him and feed him. We were so well looked after every step of the way. I was in for 3 nights and not forced out at all, I was very ready to go home by that point. The midwives have visited at home everyday since, so lots of support.
Angenrod, I hope you have a good experience there too!
Kimnus, the recovery ladies were excellent.
Keep me updated with all your bubs progress. I'll have more time to update now I am sitting breastfeeding so often!
Hi Ange any news? I am calculating by your sig that you are at 34 weeks is bub still hanging in there or made his appearance?
How are all you ladies going? (I am trying to make an effort to post more :) )
I had an ultrasound last week and bubba girls head is really low, the person doing the ultrasound sounded a bit concerned about it, but with everything else that has been going on I am just adding it to the list. I have an appointment with Dr Davis tomorrow (he has been away on holiday's for 2 weeks) so hopefully he will give me some insight on what is happening.
Are you high risk Kimnus? We have exact same due date!!
I am not getting another scan until 34 weeks, but I am low risk.. I know bubs head is down low because my MW did a quick US last appt coz she couldnt feel the head, and because bubs now hiccups down the bottom lol. I was stressed coz at 28 week appt he/she was breech and I was really worried about a breech bub. Turns out it still had room to flip, but I don't know if thats true anymore!
I'm going well, besides the constant heartburn and yesterday I had really intense BH for about 2 hours, I counted about 8 in an hour and they have gone from painless to feeling like period pain... Hope this is normal!

I noticed we had the same due date as well! How cool!!
Yeah I am high risk due to a number of factors. I have 2 blood conditions and will need a c-section this time around, last time I tried for a natural birth but had to have an emergency c-section. I have also had placenta bleeding although way through this pregnancy and I started to lose my mucus plug at 27 weeks. So drama, drama, drama lol.
I have an ultrasound at every appointment (Dr Davis has a machine in his office) and will have another proper ultrasound at 34 weeks, that is if Dr Davis doesn't think I need one before then.
Wow, so do you think you will make it to your due date? Make sure to update after your appointment tomorrow :)
I am keeping my fingers crossed but DH seems to think I will make it 34 weeks I am hoping for at least 36-37 but what ever happens we will make it through it.
I will make sure I pop in tomorrow after my appointment it is at 3.30pm

Hi girls, yes today I'm 34 weeks!! I've had to take myself off to wollongong hospital a few times as bub has slowed down his movements significantly and makes me worry like nothing else.
Dr G was about to give me a date las week for a c section but couldn't access his computer so hopefully next Monday I will have a date!! Fingers x! I'm hopeful I'll make it to 36 weeks, but dr G has said as soon as anything comes up abnormal on a ctg, he'll be delivering me. Only 2 weeks to go!!! Yay :)
Kimnus and saralou - what is your due date?? Funny if we ended up in hospital together. Lol.

I am currently 31 weeks, 3 days (due 18/09) I have noticed that bub has slowed a little (have a scheduled for tomorrow).
Yep Kim and I have same due date :)
It would be funny if we were in at the same time! Which hosp are you both going to? I am assuming figtree as you both have OBs? I'm using the public system despite having PHI as I wanted a midwife rather than an OB cause I'm low risk. I'm going through the MGP my midwife is the best :goodvibes:
Although we did a hospital tour last night and it got me thinking, I don't know that I want to spend more than one night in there..... I can pay excess to PHI and get a single room... But I think I'd rather go home.. Not sure!
Yep will be going to Figtree that is if I make it to 36 weeks, if I go before 36 week I will have at Wollongong and once we are both ok to travel we will be transferred to Figtree. Figtree hospital is actually only 5 minutes away from me :)
As soon as I found out I was pregnant with DS I got into see Dr Davis, I work at Wollongong hospital and I asked around and everyone recommended him and being high risk I needed to be under care of an OB.
How did your appt go kimnus?
Well I have some sort of infection  I have to go to Southern Pathology tomorrow and get some blood tests and urine tests to see what type on infection I have. I don't feel sick or anything so I don't really know what it could be.
I hope it is nothing too serious.
Oh? Hope it's nothing serious. Update when you know more x
I sure will. I get the results back early next week.

I'm the same as Kim. I'm going to figtree hospital if i get to 36 weeks, otherwise, it will be Wollongong with a transfer to figtree once we are both ok. I'm having ctg's at Wollongong hospital at the moment though so they get to know me (just in case).
Sorry to hear about your infection Kim. Hopefully they can get you onto some meds soon to get rid of it.
Only 2 weeks till I make it to 36 weeks!! Eeek. Hope I make it!!!
Hello lovely ladies how are you all going, any more test results/news? Not long to go! :smiliedance:

Not much from me. Having ctg today, had u/s in Monday which was all good. Ob still hasn't booked me in for a c section and I'm so annoyed. He said last week he would give me a date, then on Monday when I asked again, he said, oh I'd like to push u over the 36 weeks if it's looking good! I'm like "noooooo" it's too risky as the chance of stillbirth is too high. He just said he'll see me next Monday and might give me a date then. He knows I want the 2nd August as that is 36 weeks on the nose.... So we'll see what happens. Praying everyday I get my way!!
Things so far are going good. The lady at southern pathology butchered my arm though when she took my blood, I have a bruise the size of my palm on my upper arm (just above my inner elbow). As a couple of the bloods take a couple of days to process I get the results back today so seeing my OB at 4pm today. Fingers crossed they come back good.

I hope you get the date you wanted. I still haven't got a date as well (although I am just 32 weeks), but have been told if all goes well he will do my c-section 10 days before my due date.
Hi girls I hope you are all well.
I had my appointment yesterday and all my results came back clear so there is no infection (thank god!).
I have another ultrasound on the 9/8 (34 week scan) so I am pretty sure that might be last one for the pregnancy.
I hope you girls are doing well :)
I had an appointment with my hematologist on Friday (I have two blood conditions). I needed to get approval to have a epidural or spinal for my c-section, I didn't get the approval as he wants to redo my bloods, which I understand.
Also on Friday I took a trip to Figtree as I was having tightings across my tummy that felt very much like contractions, but they ended up stopping when I was there getting checked out. So once again I'm on rest.

Oh no Kim, will be keeping things crossed for you. When will u know?
AFM- wow, my bubba is amazing!! Bub has had another growth spurt and is doing so well. He is now in 17th centile!! He has gone from the 6th-17th centile in the last month!!! Now weighs approx 2375gms. I'm definitely going to figtree now to deliver. Was hoping for 9th but apparently my dr has to call next Monday to see if he can have theatre at the time he needs it for me. So keep everything crossed for me too!! I'm so hoping its next Thursday at the latest!!!
Ange thats fantastic, I was born at 2500 grams 25 years ago so your bubba will be fine!!!
Hi Ladies,
Everyone looks to be doing ok for now. Ange so pleased for your bubba. My DD was born at 1625grams and is a normal healthy two year old rascal. So fingers crossed you have the same luck.
Kim when do you get your answer?
Sarah how are you going?

I get to see bubs on the 9th August, I am hoping to get some good 3D pics this time.
Oh has Ange had her bub then?? How is everyone else going? Any more news Kim? I had my u/s yesterday it is amazing at this stage how developed bub is! Measuring just slightly under 'normal' weight at 5 pound (I think its about 2.2kg) but I didn't expect a big bub as I am small framed.

Yes Ange had her gorgeous bubba (I'm friends with her on FB).
I had my OB appointment today and got my dates for a c-section 3rd or 4th September. My B12 is low so I am going to be having 3 shots. Also I am having bloods to check my blood conditions and will get approval a week before having bub on what method of anesthetic I can have.
I have my ultrasound tomorrow so I will update you on that too.
Hope your pregnancy is going smoothly?
Yes all good for me :) update once you have your u/s yay :)
Ultrasound wasn't good. Bub hasn't grown since my 30 week scan so I am off for a ctg tomorrow morning at Figtree and Dr Davis will decided what to do after that.

We are both well, Jesse a little jaundiced. We are waiting on belliruben blood test result to see if he needs the lights. he sleeps fairly well and is adorable.

Kim- sorry to hear ur bub hasn't grown. I'm in figtree right now. What time u coming for your ctg? Hope all is well with your little one xx
Sorry to hear that Kim, hopefully the doc has some more reassuring news. Keep us updated xx
Ange I JUST saw your bub on the other thread - gorgeous! Congrats! You both made it safe and sound :)
My bub was measuring abit small on my u/s (still within normal range - but you know how the smallest thing can make you worry) at 5pound (34 weeks) but seeing your little man at 5.2 and looking beautiful has reassured me.
Enjoy your sweet bundle :) :hugs:
Back from CTG and it looks good and she was having a good kick. Dr Davis wants me to do another. Ultrasound to check growth at 36 weeks, just to give her some to grow.
Kim did they tell you bubs size?
:fingerscrossed: bubs has a spurt in the next two weeks x
Yep I have everything crossed that things improve
Hi Girls,
Ok so I will join ranks and keep my fingers crossed for everyone. I hope the next few days bring improvements or just some peace of mind at least.
Congratulations Ange! Your bub looks very gorgeous.
Pretty low key for me. Still on monthly scans/urine tests and progesterone. The closer I get to 30 weeks ( am 28 weeks on monday) the more nervous I'm getting but OB is doing everything to catch anything early.
Anyone else completely over the weather? My 2yo is such an outdoor girl and trying to keep her inside and warm is becoming impossible. Onto our second roll of plays oh in a fortnight. Bring on summer

That is good news that you OB is keeping a close eye on you, I am glad that Dr Davis is keeping a good eye on me.
My 21 month old is going stir crazy as well, it probably doesn't help that I can't chase him around.
Yes I'm pretty comfortable with the care so far. But I was good till 30 weeks last pregnancy so as of Monday il be on edge and as of next fri it will be a new record for me.
How are you going? Is your baby girl growing a little more now?
