Hello, we're moving over to Brisbane from New Zealand and was just wanting to know the best family areas in Logan... we have friends in the Hillcrest/Browns Plains area and in Bethania area? We're after a family friendly area with a good school for my 4yr old, we also have a 1 yr old. Any help/advice would be great

Woodridge, Kompton and Kingston are lovely... Lol.
I used to drop kids off to Edens Landing which seems nice.
Tanah Menah is a really nice area :)
My little munchkin due May 2012! So to keep me busy till then, I'm learning how to use my iPhone.

Tanah Merah and surroundings is lovely. So Loganholme, Shailer Park. We live in Loganholme, but moving to Tanah Merah in March. Very quite and great for families, lots of schools nearby aswell. The rent is pricey though.

Personally I'd prefer the Browns Plains, Regents Park, Hillcrest & Boronia Heights suburbs (all relatively close to one another). There is a variety of schools from Public (generally have to live in the catchment suburb) to Private, good bus services, a huge shopping center at Browns Plains, a hotel, a variety of places to eat outside of the major shop center and other great shops.
Woodridge & Kingston are OK but have low socioeconomic stigma attached to them -I have family members that live in Kingston & they don't mind it at all.

c&k are excellent and have a really good reputation. They have a great Kindergarten Pilot program, but have very long waiting lists. I tried getting my boys into the 3 centres near me, but each time the waiting list was 3+months. My boys go to an independent family run centre in Tanah Merah, it's a great centre, great carers and not costly. ABC centres are also good my eldest used to go to ABC, but had to change daycare as we moved.
