I've read on lots of posts about many girls whos DP/DH's keep them awakke with soring.

Just wanted too offer a solution.

My DP snores occasionaly and I couldn't sleep because of it.
We got a mouth guard fitted for him that pushes the lower jaw out slighly and stops the snoring.
EVERY time he wears it he stops snoring.

He says it's comfortable to wear and has no side effects.

This company does them,... there are two differnet ones. You'll need to get the Sleep Pro 2. I just cheked how much they are charging and it's $265.

When we got ours, they send you a mould, and you fit it, send it back and they send you the mouth guard We were mega impressed with their service, they gave you free express post sachels and we had ours done up within a week.!

$265 might not be cheap, but it's definitely worth it.

 wow I think I will just stick to poking him and telling him to stop lol
Only happens on his fat days anyway!

When my DP doesn't wear his, I always smack him on the bottom and say "You're snoring". Every time he wakes up and say's " What.. it's snowing?".

I have just sent the link to my husband. He is driving me nuts with his snoring and has spent every night except one in the last week sleeping in the loungeroom -not good!! Thanks for that. Now we just have to see if he would agree to wear it.

I noticed it was $265 USD. I purchased a mouth guard by snorban, works a treat. Much cheaper....... http://www.snorban.com.au/index.html

 As much as DP's snoring drives me nuts I wouldn't pay that much for one of those things. I'll just stick to my poking & occasional yelling and kicking him out of the room :D

Hi,
if you go into the Australian link under "About Us" it says that the cost is $265 AUS too- I saw the $265 US first as well.
My husband has said he will give it a go so I am going to order up soon. I have been telling him to lose 10 kilos for the last year and it hasn't happened so this is the way we have to go. I am getting lonely in the bed all on my own.

The good thing about the sleep pro 2 is that after they take a mold or your teeth they make the mouth guard up, so it's really streamline. Also has a gap between the top and bottom layer for breathing.

i think with the cheaper ones, they just send you a cast that you heat up and them it cools to your jaw.

It's a lifetime item and wont distort in hot water /weather.

Cath, i think you're right about the $265 AUS dollars. I remember it cost DP mid 200's.

Snoring is bad for me cause it's ME who ends up sleeping on the couch!

Oooo... good product, just too pricey! DH and I both know what stops him snoring- it involves loosing a good few kilos! We could get a mouthguard, but he still needs to loose the weight! Lucky I sleep deeply and don't really notice- it's just that he ends up with such a sore throat in the morning! :shame: :D

I am a terrible snorer

I use the Breathe Right Nasal Strips (about $14 for a box of 30) and they are great! DP won't sleep in the same room if I'm not wearing one.
