 Just wanted to say a big hello to all the defence partners out there. I hope everyone is doing ok and coping with the life we have. If anyone ever needs a chat please feel free to PM me or we can even get on messenger.

You are all doing a fabulous job and should be proud of yourselves.

P.S..This may seem like a weird thread but just wanted to write it in case anyone needed a perk up.

Heyya Tarynduggan - how are you doing? We are doing well! 6 wks pg now and life is good. Hubby has his next 6 week course from early November to mid December, so we have booked our flights for Christmas to go back to Melbourne to see my family - it will be the first time I have seen them since May. I know its not THAT long in the whole scheme of things, but I dont know when I will see them all again after Christmas.

Has your hubby got leave over Christmas? I hope so!!!

Take Care - and thanks for the message!

Love Ally

PS - Not a weird thread at all - its good to know we are all in it together!

Hi there

We are well. DS & I are in Adelaide at my parents place at the moment. I havent posted for a few weeks because they are on the slowest dial up connection!

We are nearly a month into our deployment. I've been busy so far as my best friend was married on the weekend & I have heaps of people to see down here before I head home next week.

DF rings when he can, usually a couple of times a week. He has put in to have his ROCL around our sons first birthday (13th Dec) but we wont know for quite a while still as to whether he will get it when he wants. I'm not really looking forward to going home next week, I think that is when the reality of the deployment will sink in.

Anyway, I'll post again when I get home and back to broadband!!! lol

hi,

Well my DH is due home in 3 weeks I think. They keep pushing it later and later. He has been away for 3.5 months now. This has been a really bad deployment for me actually. I was diagnosed with PND again:gloomy: and was not coping at all. I have thought about just packing up and leaving him about 5000 times.

Not sure what I am going to do yet. Am not sure if the distance has skewed my thinking or if I am really over it and just want out. I'll have a big chat with DH when he gets home and see where we can go from here.

Am pleased everyone is well and coping.

Take care.:hugs:
