My 7 month old got really bad very red raised excema all over his face and neck. Doc said it was atopic excema and that some people believe it to be fungal. Said to use hydrozole (available over the counter in 30g without prescription) which is an ultra mild steroid and broad spectrum anti fungal. Put it on before bed and almost completely gone by morning!!!!!!!
My mum bought us a product made in brendale, brisbane and it's fabulous also for creating a waterproof barrier on the skin but it's breathable....money back guarantee for excema and psorasis and this stuff is fabulous. I put it all over bub's face as it is still dry and then all over my hands as they are endlessly in water and it feels as though nothing is there but golly it works! www.ellenjay.com.au

I have been using it for 3 weeks now and so far I am impressed...relieves the symptoms fast and protects:thumbsup: I also discovered that its a fantastic nappy rash cream...clears up so fast and again protects baby's bottom from further irritation
We bought another of her products...Natural Decongestant and while DD has had her cold I put a little on her chest everyday...and it really helped. her breathe easier
Thank you for the tip:)

I am so pleased that it's been working for you.
I have found that using the wash + cream is MUCH better than cream alone!
Can Naturalene be used on the face? I think you mentioned that you put it on bub's face for dry skin and it worked well?

Yes I used it on his face.
It really is a great product. I put it all over my hands as they are always in water and it helps protect.
It mosturizes but also acts as a barrier cream. I found really quick changes when using the wash and the cream on his face but the wash needs to stay out of eyes.
I also use hydrozole at night prescribed by doc but available over counter.

my daughter developed eczema at around 6 weeks and we tryed everything we now wash all her stuff in soap flakes (Lux) she has Alpha Kerry oil in her bath everyday, QV cream after her bath and during the day must be the cream but the lotion is not thick enough and and she is also bathed in QV wash. i notice if we go stay at my parents in laws and we dont take the oil how quickly it comes back you really have to keep on top of it and keep bubs skin well moisturised.

my bub is 5 months with bad eczema. I use dermaveen powder in her bath, and rotate between dermaveen lotion and dermeze to mosturise, and some cortisone when things are quite bad. She has mittens on for bed and arms have to be wrapped to her body, but still wakes scratching ++, especially face and hands. Anyone have suggestions for better sleeping? short of Zyrtec?
