Hi guys,

I've posted this in another forum on bubhub also as I'm looking to get as much advice as I can..

First of all, I am going to appologize for TMI here but I am a little anxious about this and am wanting to know if anyone else here is experiencing it or has had it much before..

My last pregnancy was premature so I get a little jumpy with all these new symptoms I'm experiencing with this pregnancy.. I know I'm probably over-reacting but just want some peace of mind!

Over the last two days I have found that 'down there' is tingly and feels heavy, as if I am having a menstrual bleed - the pressure is unbelievable and it happens whenever I am standing, sitting or walking :( It sort of feels like my baby has dropped - Yet I am only 18 weeks still..

DD was born at 33 weeks via spontaneous labor.

With this pressure below, I am experience lower back aches and often find myself trying to arch my back to help ease the pressure.

My posture is pretty good I have to say and I always correct it if I find that I am slouching or leaning slightly so dont feel that this pain/pressure in my lower back is caused by incorrect posture.

Can anyone please, help me put my head to rest.. I am so paranoid about having another premature birth again.. My ob has asked me to have my bags ready by mid March (not due until late May) just to be safe..

Are the symptoms I'm experiencing normal? Has anyone else had them as when I google it it comes up with 3rd trimester symptoms, often with women who are about to give birth :(

I'm just not sure if maybe I am overdoing things or if this is something more serious.. or maybe even a symptom of pregnancy I didn't even have with DD! Again, sorry for TMI.. I'm just looking for advice..

Any advice on what to do or tips on how to make this stop would be greatly appreciated x

It's sounds a bit like it could be varicose veins in your nether regions? It's not uncommon for pregnant women to get these.

I'm not sure though, hopefully someone else can help...

Hi,

Sorry I can't give any advice on the symptoms you are experiencing. Just wanted to let you know I had my first at 32 weeks, and got warned my second might be early too, so I was on alert from 32 weeks... and she ended up being overdue by almost 2 weeks. It was the longest 10 weeks wait ever! So just wanted to give you a bit of a good news story. Hopefully everything goes okay with you and you get some more advice from some others on here:hugs:

I know nothing about premature births, but I had the feeling you described when I was about 5 months pregnant with my first. I had a cyst (on, or just inside, I should say of labia) that needed to be removed under epidural.

Stay off your feet. Hang out on the lounge watching the box. You don't want to be on permanent bed rest in a hospital.

Spoke to DH last night.. I have 3 days of work next week and 4 the week after but I told him I am going to tell my employer I'll finish up after that 4 day week (I'm only casual anyway).. I'm finding after doing 4 hour days in childcare I am utterly exhausted and I just come home and snap at my DD who is 6 and it is completely unfair on her!

The few weeks I had off a while ago, I made sure to rest/nap for 2-3 hrs a day and I didn't have this pressure that I am experiencing now so I was wondering if it had something to do with standing up a lot and gravity pulling everything down - God that sounds freaky when you say it out loud lol

Just want to thank everyone for your replies! Couch, here I come... Right after xmas of course!

xx

Merry Xmas everyone and thanks again x

How is everything? Your doctor said march, my membranes ruptured at 23+6 weeks with my first pregnancy my bags are already packed and I'm 22 weeks Thursday. You can never be too careful.
