View Full Version : Strange buzzy zingy "pain" in breasts
I call it "pain" because its not actually painful as such, just vaguely unpleasant.
It usually happens about an hour or so after a feed, lasts 15 to 20 seconds and then disappears.
What is it?

Dunno what it is, but I get it from time to time too  Not very helpful of me, sorry!
lol that's okay - it helps knowing that I'm not a freak. Or that if I am a freak, there's at least one more freak out there :p

It could be breast / nipple thrush (sorry not sure of the correct term)... For me it felt like shooting 'pain' through the breast...
Speak to your health nurse... If it is thrush you will need to get a cream from the chemist and treat yourself and bubs mouth...
All the best
Oh I have had thrush and I know what that feels like
This is different. It's not a shooting pain - just sort of ... buzzy. And it kicks in a lot later than and doesn't last nearly as long as the blasted pains from thrush.
could it be your milk 'coming back in'?
I've had that too. Asked my CHN (LC) about it and she went "Oh, that's odd" and left it hhehehe

What you described sounds like the let down reflex but that would normally hapen when you feed?
Just reading your thread title made my milk let down, thanks for that! I'm off to change my shirt.....

Oh you're very welcome.
Boobies ... Milk ... Babies ... waaaaaaah! ...
Did it happen again? :D
Back to the thread ... Maybe I have a delayed letdown reflex or something, then. I certainly don't get that sensation (or any other for that matter) when he's actually feeding. I know there's milk there and being sucked out as it dribbles out of the corner of his mouth but it doesn't actually feel like anything ...
I heard you get this when you fall pregnant....something you want to tell us:D
Pix: believe me, there is absolutely no chance of that.
At all.
:D

i get this when they are a bit too full, not engorged -- but fuller. I usually have a bit of pain before feeding from being too full, then that feeling...
