I thought I'd share this with you all because we dont see it enough!
When I was at the supermarket today I saw a lady standing in an aisle breastfeeding her very young baby, with her toddler running around at her feet. :) It made me smile and feel very proud to be a breastfeeding mother.
If only we were all confident enough to be bold and feed our children in public like that! :p
To whoever that lady is, I say GOOD ON YOU!!
Breastfeeding is a beautiful natural thing - those who are blessed enough to be able to do it successfully should be proud of it - and not ashamed to show it!
(this isnt intended to make bottle feeding mummys feel left out or anything - we ALL do what is best for our babies because we love them so much!!) :D

Oh how great to see.Good on her!
I think I'd be too self concious to feed in the middle of a shopping aisle!

Wow - she must be so co-ordinated! I'd be way too "unco" to do that!
Good on her!!

That's just lovely! No doubt she got over her nerves feeding the first one ;) I feed where ever my son needs a feed and his first public feed was out the front of my local KMart at Christmas 2003. He was about 5 weeks old. I almost never see women bfing outside of my playgroup where we all bf, some tandem feed and most of us are feeding babies well over 1. Anyone who is embarrassed by my child feeding needs to get over themselves LOL. Boobs are for babies! :p

A few months ago I got suckered into one of those shopping centre photo sessions, it was right in the middle of chadstone shopping centre.

The girls were happily taking photos of Max for a while, but then he got pretty cranky. I knew he was hungry and wasn't putting on grins for anyone until he had a feed. So I sat on the mini stage, surrounded by cameras and reflecty umbrellas and proceeded to breastfeed him.

I got some weird looks from the many passers by. Actually some people stopped to stare because they thought I was having photos taken breastfeeding!!
