Hi everyone. I'm new to the forum thing. I finished work 2 weeks ago and our daughter is due in 4 weeks time.

The doctors told us yesterday that the baby is smaller than they'd like her to be, but she's developed fine. I'm ok with that, because my husband is 6 foot 6 inches and was a giant baby too!

The doctors told me my baby was too small for their liking too but they can't expect everyone to have 12 pound babies can they ;)
They told me the same with my first daughter too & she came out a healthy, normal 7pounds :thumbsup:

True, I haven't put on much weight either so I wasn't too shocked when they told me. All the other babies in my family have been big so she'll probably feel tiny compared to them. She's our first.

Hi there!
The dr told me the opposite for DD2. He thought she was going to be huge, turned out she just tipped the scales at 7lb, average but not enormous:rolleyes:

Thanks for more welcome messages everyone. It looks like my little girl isn't growing too well. They're giving me another check up next week and if the get the same measurement again they'll put us on some monitors and sort it out. Any one else had a similar experience?

Hi sandoz and welcome. I too was told that ds (dear son) was going to be small. I had to have weekly check ups and had two ultra sounds, towards the end of my pregnancy because they were worried. He came out a very healthy 7lbs3oz. After going out and buyind 'extra' small clothes (00000), he didnt even fit into them. Straight into the 000. Hope everything works out and as im sure it will.

My little bub has grown, so everything is normal again. It's pretty likey she'd grown the whole time and way just laying funny last week, wish they'd told me that last week:rolleyes: She's still a bit small though but it's all good...2 weeks to go
