I am going to try and make sushi.
Got all my ingredients but I bought smoked trout instead of salmon.
Can I still use it? Is it alright raw like salmon?
Thanks

Yep almost identical to smoked salmon. Smoked trout is not actually raw - the "smoked" process cures it (exactly like smoked salmon)

That's the cool thing about sushi - you can put whatever you darn well feel like in it - fish (cooked, smoked or not) chicken, beef, vegies, avacado etc.
Rolling it can be a bit tricky at first, but you get to eat your 'mistakes'.
Have fun
I think that smoked trout tastes the same and the bonus is that it's a bit cheaper than salmon!
I'm making sushi tomorrow, but with chicken instead. A trick is to refrigerate the rolls (covered or they dry out) for about 15-20 minutes) before you cut them into slices. And make sure you cool your rice properly, and have a bowl of warm water to rinse your fingers during the "squash the rice on the paper" bit, it get's a bit clingy!! Good luck! :fingerscrossed:
