If you are suffering or suffered from morning sickness and had to go to work, what was your job? I'm 7 weeks pregnant with my second and I am already so over this ridiculous nausea. With #1 I had HG and was hospitalized a lot, but my job (university) was fairly low pressure. Now I'm back in Australia and have a wild 22 month old but I can deal with him by just letting him loose in the park. My job at Uni here requires me to lecture 10 hours a week. My vomiting got worse today and I have two weeks off from now but if it's like this I don't know how I will cope. On one day I have to lecture for five hours. Maxolon doesn't work in either tablets or injection and my doctor doesn't really want to prescribe Zofran because it's category B and I'm only seven weeks. I hate this so much. Starting to regret going for #2 :(

I have seen a lot of women prescribed ondansertron which has helped them.I used to work at a book shop while pregnant with #2 & had bad morning sickness. It was terrible when I had to talk to a customer & felt nauseous

i was prescribed zofran from 6wks when i spent the night in the ER being rehydrated, the dr there gave me a script and then my gp was happy to give me repeats.

can you see a different gp?

I understand where you are coming from! I am currently suffering from bad morning sickness and I am a primary school teacher! School goes back soon and I'm not sure what to do!!!! I have tried zofran and it doesn't seem to work well for me, I still feel sick.

I had no advice just :hugs:

I worked as a restaurant & bar manager until I was 32 weeks. I also threw up 4 times a day for 28 of those weeks.

I just excused myself and went and vomited. It became part of the norm. Just it was horrible but I couldn't find a replacement and I needed the money.

Ginger biscuits, dry crackers, Vegemite, and any form of potato were my saving grace.

With DD I had bad MS for 6 weeks (6 - 13 weeks) and I just had to put up with it. Luckily I had a desk job and running to the bathroom and back wasn't really a problem. It was catching a train to work that got me!! This time I'm a receptionist but I haven't gotten MS yet, hopefully I won't teehee :freakingout:

I used to work in hospitality and had to cook eggs in the morning. I had terrible morning sickness but funnily enough it was the lunch and dinner menu that had me hurling!
