Does anyone actually use the wrist strap on their stroller?? I have a Roger Armstrong Elfin2 and had no idea what the strap was until today (not mentioned in the manual??). I know that the Phil & Ted E3 has one too. When/why would you need to use the strap?

I use mine when I am power walking or jogging.. it allows me to let go of the bar every so often so I can move my arms.
It also is a safety thing just in case I let go of the bar (for whatever reason) .

I also use mine to hold the pram on the hoist as I put it in the car.

I never even realised the Elfin had one. Must have a look at mine. Is yours a very new one?

I've had my Elfin for 2 months - the strap isn't anything special just plain black nyon strapping with a loop at each end. Maybe it wasn't meant to be in the box?? There is no mention of it in the instruction book. Well at least I know what it is for now. :o

Mine came with one but I haven't used it. However when I'm wandering the neighbourhood, I push the pram a bit faster than I'm walking so I don't have to continue to hold it.. and each time I do that I say.. "Must remember to put the wrist strap on...."

I'm sure the strap would be important while waiting on train platforms etc.

Well, I figure that it is a bit of insurance. I use it whenever we are going downhill, at the shops or in the open. All it takes is a bit of a sneeze or stumble and the pram could be gone! Dangerous if out walking, maybe not so bad on escalators in shops.
Very important at train stations!! (Although you should always park the pram parallel to the train tracks anyway). (Have you seen that City Rail video? Its scary!)

I put the strap on a safety measure in case I let go of the bar;)

I use it all the time because I'm hyper paranoid and also because I walk around a lot in areas with slopes and uneven paths. And also because, when at the shops or something, people are incredibly unaware of their surroundings and bump into me or the stroller on a regular basis. At least if they manage to dislodge my hand from the handle, the stroller still won't go far.

Yeah my friend's Bugaboo has one and she thought it was weird. Although I think it's a good idea if you need to go down a slope as I think it could be quite easy for the pram to roll away quickly if you accidently let go for any reason

Yes I use the strap when we are out running. Don't want the pram getting away from me.

Hmmmmm.......

Mine came with what is referred to as a "jogging strap" in the accessories list (I have the Steelcraft Terrain Deluxe), but I have no idea how it is supposed to attach or how on earth it is meant to be of help!

I mean, I know it so the pram doesn't get away from you, but I can't see how the strap that came with my pram can be useful in that way.

It is just a webbing strap, with a loop on one end.

Can anyone fill me in??

I have a bugaboo too, and thought the same thing when I first got it  but the strap is really handy cos its very light and easy to steer it can scoot of pretty quickly and you wouldn't want it to with bub inside:no: They are a great idea:thumbsup:
