And how are you feeling now, physically and emotionally?

I know it must be tough with a baby (and the other 3!).

Try to rest up.

10 Eggie Wonders. You are amazing!

Hi everyone,
Well its been a rough couple of days.
I was in a bit of muscle pain for 2 days but feel fine now.
Yesturday was very tough as my baby brother (now 23) was stabbed at the night club he works at in Rockingham.:crying:
He is recoverying well.
Very touch and go there for a while so I did do a little too much.
So as for the emotional part I am feeling quite drained, excitment for the IP's and fear for my brother.
On a lighter note my IP's are having transfer on Wednesday, I just spoke to clinic and all 10 are developing purfectly so I am doing a little happy dance as I type.:smiliedance:
I will let you all know how it all goes.
FOURtunate when are your IP's having theirs?
Has it all gone well?
Speak soon

Hi Sarah

OMG your poor baby brother

I'm sure he'll be okay, but how stressful!

Try and take it easy okay. You need to rest as much as you can.

Good Luck to your IP's for Wednesday. My IM is in having her transfer right now so :fingerscrossed:

Hi Sarah

really sorry to hear about your brother, I can't imagine what your going through, I know it can be more stressful for the families than the person affected in a trauma, they feel so helpless. When i got hit by a car and had been unconsious, it was bad and I could have been killed but I wasn't and I had all the hospital tests going on but when my sister turned up she looked dreadful, the shock had made her quite ill, so I really feel for you:kiss:

fanstatic news about the fertility rate, your in WA, have you got ruond the 6months cooling off, or have I got the facts wrong, you cool off before you cycle!!

Try and take it easy and best wishes for your brothers speedy recovery

Hi L,
The cooling off period here in WA is 3 months and quarenteen of 6 months.
We waived the quarenteen by going through Concept clinic at King Edward hospital.

My brother is doing much better but in alot of pain.:crying:
The knife went in 4 inches, missed his lung by an inch, severed an artery and nicked his large intestine and stomach not to mention the damage to his muscle wall.
He had to undergo exploritory surgery because he had a heamatoma (large blood clot in his side) so now he also has 4 key holes in his abdomine where they went looking for damage.
He is not in the best shape although he is home.:gloomy:
So we are hoping no more internal bleeding:fingerscrossed:
It will take him a couple of weeks to recover.
Thank you for your kind wishes.

Oh dear sarah! So sorry to read about your brother! What a week you've had! I hope he recovers well and that his employer is looking after him. He'll need some post trauma counselling and support to return to work (even if he doesn't think so), poor guy. Take good care of yourself and good luck for that BFP. With that many embies, your IPs are bound to have a few frosties too, so their chances are very good.

Hi Sarah

Hope the embies are doing well, and how are you, now your brother is out of hospital I'm sure you feel exhausted.

They haven't kept him in long, really surprised with the artery being damaged. I'll PM you some other advice.

Babydreams is so right about being traumatised, but it often doesn't surface for several months because the shock and adrenalin kicks in and keeps us going, also there is usually a flood of family and friends and therefore we are kept entertained and busy, but when that subsides and the analgesia is stopped we can become withdrawn, this can take 6 - 12 months it's like grieving, I was injured in the feb, I was on meds until i decided to stop the lot at the following new year, at the easter break everyone was away, I rang to see my best friend, I was feeling really down and she said I'm wanting to spent the time with the children, i'll call you, she didn't. She was the only person at that time I felt I could call in a crisis, my flat mate was abroad, but the end of two weeks I was so clinically depressed and had post traumatic stress disorder, I became housebound and was very ill for several months, so just remember to keep an eye on him.

Hi everyone,
I would just like to thank you all for your kind wishes regarding my brother.
He is doing much better today and is up and about.:smiliedance:
Still extreamly sore but mobile (and taking it very slow).
He was interveiwed on the news last night so he also has a bit of an ego trip with his 15 mins of fame(not a good reason to get it).
So to all thankyou very much.:hugs:
