Refusing solids

DS is 7 months (almost 6 corrected).. I started him on solids 2 weeks ago. For the first week he was fine so I increases him to 2 meals a day.. That went well for a few days but for the past few days he is refusing to eat! When I try feeding him he just shuts his mouth

No idea what to do.. Do I keep persisting each day or wait a while before trying again?

We stopped and waited till ds showed interest again :) it's ok for him to change his mind :) just give it a while and see how he does :)

My kids have always wanted to feed themselves. Could you offer food on his tray to feed himself??

^i agree, have you looked into Baby Led Weaning? He may not be ready yet but if you start with some finger foods now he can get used to holding or sucking them? We started at 6 months with cucumber sticks ( they love gumming off the flesh and it's very soft) or roasted sweet potato cut into sticks or just steamed brocolli ?
