Lachlan's Mum
17-11-2004, 22:21
Hi everyone,
I have not posted much lately as we have had a family crisis to deal with and I'm just getting on top of things this week.
Some of you may have read earlier posts of mine regarding my DH's illness. His cancer has now spread and he has (currently) two tumors in his back and his liver is full of disease. He is 28. He has been told that his condition is terminal and he has had to give up work. Although "they" (the dr's) can't really give a time frame, they only expect at this stage that he'll live another say 2 years. Our baby is 6 months.... :(
Anyway, we have had alot to deal with but I think we are doing fantastically ;)
We are trying to stay positive....what else is there?? The bright side for Steven is that he gets to be a full time dad at the moment and is loving each day with Lachlan - who by the way is almost crawling, and sitting up really confidently (and sleeping through the night 12 hours most nights 7 to 7 but hush hush as I don't want to test my luck!!! :p )
The point of this post is not to make you all feel bad or to be a downer, but just to explain why I've been a bit quiet (not that anyone probably noticed!! ) and to say:-
Hi to everyone new, congrats to all who have fallen pregnant, congrats for everyone's bub's milestones I've missed....and slow down the posts because I can't catch up!!!!
