DS2 and DD2 (still on it) had no problems with S-26 Gold.
DS1 - Had severe case of reflux so he was on S-26 AR (anti-reflux), no problems with that at all either.
DD1 - Didn't like S-26 but loved SMA not that i minded because it was cheaper.
thanks for the comment its so hard to know and im not too keen on chopping and changing between brands.
thanks for the info:thumbsup:

Unfortunatly when it comes to formula feeding it's the sacrifice you have to make to suit your babies wants/likes/needs ect..
Are you struggling with finding a suitable formula for your DS ?
i used S26 gold with both kids. What is with the ptice rise??? it used to cost me $14.95 now its over $20 a tin!!!

Have you tried NAN? I didn't use this I used S26 but my SIL uses NAN for my niece (who is a very hungry baby) and it seems to satisfy her and doesn't make her constipated.

I found Nan HA to be very good for my DS. He was originally on a formula called Enfalac (he was born in a different country) then switched to Nan. He has atopic dermatitis and the HA variant, being hypoallergenic proved to be suitable for him.

my ds started off on the amcal one and he deicded at 4.5 months he didnt like it anymore so we switched to heinz and he was on heinz till earlier this yr when he got gastro and then was diagnosed about a month later as lactose intolerant he is now on s26 LF (lactose free)
heinz is really good :)

S-26 is the one i have found to be the best and most recommended so far. After that, i've found 2nd best would be NAN. It's really just trial and error with your bub tho.

When I was in hospital they gave us Nan HA Gold, but when I asked the nurse what she recommended she said Karicare Gold (which is what I use) or Heinz. My bub didn't care or notice the change. she said that S26 was known to cause constipation, but it doesn't seem to be a prob for the others who poster. She also said not to buy the most expensive as it's not necessarily better. I know Heinz is well prices, mine costs about $17-18 a tin.
MY DD was on Karicare Sensicare for the first 6 months. She thrived on it. I never had any problem with it, and it is a good one for babies where there is a history of allergies (or in my case food intolerances) in the family. She moved on to Karicare Gold Follow on at 6 months. I have found that it is harder to mix up than Sensicare was, but I don't know if that is the same for other formulas.

DS started on S26, then went to Karicare, both of these gave him chronic constipation.
We switched him to Nan and never looked back.
With DD we weren't taking any chances so she went straight to Nan and have had no problems at all. It's also a few $$ cheaper than S26 and Karicare.

i use s26, zoe's been drinking 120mls since 2 weeks though, chn said the amount on the tin that they suggest is just a suggestion some babies need more some less.....zoe is almost a month and i think i need to start giving her 180mls bottles she drains the 120mls with no problems:eek:

I have only just put Isabelle(10 months) on formula due to medication I am on to clear up a skin rash. I have tried her on S-26 Gold before, and she wouldn't take it.
The chemist told me that Heniz Nuture toddler range is really good for toddlers that are a bit fussy so I should try the 6 months and up, which Isabelle is on now and loves it.
Also tried her on the Novalac Sweet Dreams one, and she had a mouthful of it and then said "no", and shook her head!

DS is on Hinez one
He started off on NAN starter formula was doing well~
Nurse told me to switch to Karicare Starter Which gave him the poops.
after trying s26 and novalac neither of them were good it was out of heinz and nan so i thought id go with nan its been really good seems to satisfy him more than the others so :fingerscrossed: hope it continues
Hi  we had no idea what to start DD on but we asked the chemist and they reccommended s26 alpha gold and abby has just thrived on it. She does get constipated some times but we just increase the amount of just water she has to eleviate that
