I have GD again :(

so GD has reared it's head again this pregnancy earlier this time so back to a sugar free carb counting diet and over Christmas
it has really got me down this time worrying about bub plus I can't gave my choice of care anymore due to GD putting me in high risk

GDM sucks major ***! I got diagnosed at 17 weeks and felt extremely shafted :no: but I'm used to it now and kicking some major butt. I expected my diagnosis at some point because of the PCOS. I hear you on the Christmas front. If I see another advertisement for sugar laden foods I'm going to lose it! On the plus side, I don't think I've ever been so healthy. Carb exchanges was the only change I had to make outside of the naughty stuff as I was already doing the low GI thing. I also have not put on any weight for almost 15 weeks not that I was really bothered about that.

Sorry to hear that your choice of care will change with this baby as a result of GDM. I kind of like the extra care I'm receiving to manage it. Appointments every 3 weeks has not been too onerous and now I'm stepping up to a fortnightly cycle with the business end in front of me. I'm on minor amounts of insulin but that doesn't worry me and I'm still on track for a vaginal birth with her size being normal at this stage.

Just think of all the good stuff you are putting in for bubs :yes:
