So I'm a single mumma who co-parents - my almost 5yo DS (currently 3-4 nights/wk, 2 daytimes) as well as baby girl due Feb.
We're looking for a new home, and have loved sharing with other mums with similar aged children, so am looking to see if we can do that again.
Next year I will be home with the baby for a few months, and then working 2 flexible days a week (in clinical cancer research). The baby's father will be the stay at home parent then (lives in Coburg), but in the early days would like to be able to stay over often to be close to the baby.
As we look for a place to make a home, we'd very much want somewhere with an outdoor space for growing vegies, climbing, sitting in and drinking in the loveliness of trees/sun/sky. Somewhere with lots of natural light inside. 2 bathrooms so that we each get our own, would be great. The kids can share a play/bedroom, so we'd probably look for a 3 or more bedroom house, but I'm open to a spacious 2 bedroom place too.
I would like to settle the arrangements as soon as possible, and prefer to move sooner than later, but am flexible to do the actual move anytime from now to mid-Jan.

So, me as a housemate -
I enjoy having a friendly familiarity with my housemate, and looking into sharing work eg grocery shopping, childcare, cooking meals.
I often have periods of quiet aloneness and recharging, while always being friendly and easygoing. My favourite thing is curling up with knitting/reading/whatever series I've downloaded on my laptop, especially if it's in bed / by my window.
I like clean communal areas, but also like having the freedom to have pockets of clutter in my private space.
What I'm looking for in a housemate is - a mix of responsibility and consideration, with graciousness and an easygoing approach. eg we'll both be conscientious and houseproud, without keeping score or holding resentments towards the other. And, able to air and seek resolution for issues as they come up, without letting them become a big deal.
Food wise, we vary between lazy meals/leftovers, or I'll cook properly every few days, depending on my mood.. we're pretty relaxed with no set mealtimes! I'm a meat eater, but will be raising my baby vegan.

Thanks =)
