Wow; Christmas season is here! There are so many bits and pieces to organise, prepare, bake and buy. But in between all of the rush, see if you can grab 30 minutes from your day, put on a Christmas CD and do a Christmas activity with your little ones. Hopefully it will create a cute little something to hang on the tree, decorate the house, give to the grandparents or even a festive feeling in your heart!!
So over the coming weeks leading to Christmas I'm going to offer some festive ideas of activities to do with your children.
This post is to take you back to your childhood and get you to remember making paper chains! Decorate your tree, your children's bedroom, Nanna's house, the dog kennel, anywhere your child's heart desires! Be warned, these are actually quite addictive and therapeutic once you begin, so be sure not to start at 8am and craft through lunch!!
You'll need to get pieces of paper in the festive colours of your choice.
Cut them into strips (approx 10cm long) and then make a ring with the first strip by gluing the ends together.
Link the next strip through the first ring and glue together to make another ring....and so on. I'm sure you remember!
This is an actvity which you and your little one/s can do together. It focusses on fine motor coordination, cooperation and of course bonding!
Happy Christmas crafting!
