my bub is teething and is getting very annoyed very easily .. i was told to give him panadol but this only tends to make him sleep half an hour before he gets grumpy again and i dont like the thought of giving bub panadol all the time... bonjella doesnt last long either as soon as i apply it all he wants to do is try to lick it off his gums.. i have tried frozen teething rings, frozen carrot strips, teething rusks, nothing seems to work..
does anyone out there have any advice on what works and to make my little man happy again..
i know he is in a little discomfort with it and it really upsets me to the point where i am almost in tears just seeing my usually happy go lucky little one grumpy and throwing tantrums..
any ideas?
Try Brauers Teething Relief! You can get it at most chemists. It's a homeopathic treatment.
And it's absolutely brilliant. It's been great for DS :smiliedance:

I bought some teething elixir made by a chemist in Watsonia, Melbourne.
It worked like magic on both of my boys (and all of my friends' children).
They will do mail orders so if you want the name and phone number just pm me.

:smiliedance: Yayyyyyyyyyy Brauer's!!!!!!!! :smiliedance:
That stuff is awesome! When cutting a new tooth, our baby nurse said to give to bub every 4 hours as it helps settle their tummy, wards off nappy rash by making their urine less acidic and most importantly gives pain relief. We found it works best if given regularly. DS only had one bad bout of nappy rash and that was before we used Brauer's. He has had NO nappy rash since, and has cut another 5 teeth (he now has 6 in total).
If it's really bad, we then give bonjella......
then panadol ...........
then Nurofen (4 hours AFTER the panadol of course) as it is an anti imflammatory and reduces the swelling of the gums to help with the pain.
Good luck! It is such an awful time isn't it? I just keep telling DS (and myself!! ;) ) that "..... it won't hurt forever ...." :fingerscrossed: it's true for all of us!

my dd was a late bloomer with her teeth she just turned one and had only 2 teeth then all of sudden she is crying evrynight adn a week later i see 4 new teeth up the top have broken through thank god for that
Yeah I just wanted to second the Brauer's Teething Mix. :yelclap: It's so brilliant, really calming and helps bub to have a decent sleep.
Plus, you can give it every half an hour for 2 hrs if you are really having probs - this is a lot, and we've never had to go past a 3rd dose in a row, as it puts her to sleep - this stuff is SO effective. It's great that it's a homeopathic blend, so there's no worries about overdosing your bub with drugs.
And with Panadol, Nurofen and Bonjela - for all of these, a second dose can only be given HOURS after the first - this is very frustrating when you know your baby is in pain and you have to wait for hours before you can try some more relief.
We love Brauer's in my house! :smiliedance:
