View Full Version : Found it!! But at a price :(
Most of you know my J has a major eating problem, we have tried Aspect, Autism Centres, OT's and Hospitals no one thinks they can help him.
I found an Autism Feedibg Clinic in the USA but they want him for 7-8w it will cost around $50,000 all because we cant find anywhere in Australia..
My question is why dont we have some where???

Does he have a diagnosed food aversion? Which state are you in?
Does he just not eat? My friend has a baby who didn't eat and was tube fed for the first year. They found a program, swedish I think, which cost about 5k and their doctor worked with them on it. They got back 50% if it didn't work but it did work for them. Let me know if that sounds helpful and I can find out more details for you. All the best.

Info would be great..
My J is diagnosed with Autism, he stopped eating meat, fruit and veggies and turned to white/yellow food at 11mths.
It got worse over time and now at 3.5yrs he eats only about 4 foods in that colour.
Leave it with me and I will get you details as soon as possible. We are also in nsw, in sydney. Might take a day or two to get in touch but I will come back to you

She did was a web-based tube weaning method for tube dependent children through the University Children's Hospital in Graz (Austria). It can be done over the internet- "netcoaching" or you can be an in or outpatient in Graz.
There is a website "notube.at" with much more info. They might have something similar for you. Before this, their little girl didn't eat anything and was entirely tube fed (and no one knows why - she just didn't want to eat or drink milk when she was very little!). Hope it offers some help for you.
