Hervey Bay Hospital??

Hi everyone,

I just found out that i'll be moving to Hervey bay in 2 weeks, and by that time i'll be 38 weeks pregnant. does any one have advice regarding giving birth at the hospital. I've been reading some bad reviews and i'm starting to worry. Also if there is a good GP for bub when she's born. thank you :)

Hi Haniazz,
I live in Hervey bay and had my first baby girl here at the public hospital. It was just wonderful.
Over the weeks going for routine checks with the midwives i got to know a few, some are quite abrasive but you know... they aren't the same lovely ladies that are in the birth suites.
The suites are AMAZING by the way. Nice huge rooms and very private.
Speaking of private, i didn't want anyone to come near me or touch me ect, and i was blessed with a wonderful midwife who respected my wishes, and made a close friend along the way.

Thanks a lot ur comment made me feel like phew! i'm less worried now. I already called the hospital and booked myself and already have an appointment by mid december, fingers crossed baby doesn't come before that. The lady who called me was a bit unfriendly but who isn't these days?! thanks again and wish me luck :)
