Gift for 10 yr old girl... no ideas!

I am trying to get organised with Christmas shopping and have to buy something for a ten-year-old girl. Not TOO expensive as I don't see her much. Last time I asked she said she was into Skype and has an iPod and DS, so I am struggling to think of something that won't be too lame and kiddish for her???

I was thinking maybe a book, but have no idea where her reading is at. Or some kind of project (science type things or craft type things?) but then if she is only into modern technology she might think that is a bit boring?:confused:

Anyone have any ideas?

My 9 year old nieces love anything from Diva ( bracelets, necklaces , hair bands) or Smiggle (cool stationery store) both not very expensive :)

LOL i was going to say smiggle! Huuuge hit with my little cousins last year, they were 8 and 10 then. Or what about one of those make your own bath bomb kits?
