Hi My sister is due to have her little boy in 2 weeks and her and her hubby have asked all our opinions on the name Jayden if its a boy. As soon as this name is mentioned only one unfortunate little boy comes to my mind. Does anyone alse think of this awful incident when thinking of the name jayden?? I have asked my friends and as soon as you say the name they seem to follow it with the infamous surname. What do you all think????

Yes, I too think of that poor little boy when I hear that name, but that's because I don't know any other boys with that name.
If your sister has a boy and name's him Jayden then maybe he will replace your thoughts on the name in a positive way - its like when someone tell's you a name they are thinking of calling their child and you say 'oh no, that was a terrible person at school' etc, but the name becomes the baby/child as they grow and develop their personality...............

sorry if I offended anyone I really didnt mean to I also think it is a nice name but unfortunatley a small boy was killed a few years ago called jayden Leskie . It was a very high profile case that is still in the news today and is the first thing I think of when I hear this name it just seems synonimus(sp) . I wasnt in any way saying that Jayden was not a nice name or degrading anyones choice. My daughters name is Molly which according to half the world is an old ladies dogs name so I know no choice can be perfect. :D
