Mini Pill & AF??

I've been on the mini pill for 6 months now, have been bf'ing for 10 months and AF hasn't returned.

However....(TMI warning) the past week I have started getting some brownish spotting (like the end of AF) and today have started getting bright red spotting, which seems to be getting heavier and I'm feeling crampy :(. Are you mean't to get AF when you're on the mini pill, or should I be concerned about the bleeding??

Not sure if you've had a chance to investigate this yourself by now, but my understanding was that you shouldn't get an AF while on the Mini Pill as it is a continuous pill...I could be wrong ( I often am) but I would get it checked for peace of mind :-)

Thanks for your reply hopealotofluck, I did go to the dr and he told me that I'd obviously started ovulating again and he thought the bleeding was the return of AF, but that it may be irregular. I didn't think I was mean't to get AF on the mini pill either, but he didn't seem concerned. Still a bit confused :confused:
