Gladstone - Boyne Island / Tannum Sands

Will be moving to the Boyne / Tannum area in the next few weeks and I have a 6 month old little boy.

Just wondering if there are any playgroups up that way that have lots of little kids around that age group?

I'm not from there, but DF's parents live in Tannum Sands (His dad works at the Boyne Smelter) and we love it very much over there!! :).

:wave: I just moved from Boyne Island into Gladstone!:laughing: big move!There are a few good playgroups in the area which you should be able to find in the phone book or we have been talking about having a meet-up pretty soon.It would be awesome if you could come!

I myself stil ldont' know of any nor have had the time to attend any! But we are having a meet up next week if you are in town!

Im not too sure about the play groups here, but i know i have seen them advertised in the local paper and at places like the community health centre etc..

Hi and welcome to the area, I moved from Tannum Sands to Gladstone in April last year. I know there is at least 3 playgroups in the Boyne/Tannum area, i have never actually been to any of them. I am a member of Squeels on Wheels Playgroup in Gladstone though and its great.

Thanks for the info all. Unfortunately, won't be in Gladstone for another month or so. In the middle of organising removalists and finding houses in Boyne/Tannum so we can move straight in.

Guess I will just try out the different playgroups when I get there and see which one suits us best.

I just moved from melb - gladdy and the gladdy to melb in the matter of 2 wks............ going from a big city area with only one big W just frightened me but maybe when i retire i will move back there............ long thought ....hehe......................and all and all my stuck a cotton bud down his ear drums............ had to wait 4 hrs to see the doc even though we were the only ones in the ed .................. and ezzma i think i might have seen you at the gladdy hospital but not sure...................... were you there friday morning................?
