Ella, Lila, Layla or Annaleise???

Hi Everyone
I'm having a really hard time with choosing names- i keep picking my fave then changing my mind, my DP is no help either because he just says they are all 'ok', and basically leaves me with the decision.

I'm down to 4 names - Ella, Lila (pronounced Lie-la), Layla and Annaleise. The middle name will definately be Ruby, no matter which first name i go with.

What are everyones thoughts on my names? Is Lila better spelt this way, or Lilla, or Leila? I'll include a poll, but please give me feedback as well.

Obviously I am an admirer of the name Ella! :D I also love Lila and layla. we have a little girl in kinder (who is just beautiful too!) and her name is Lei-ella. It is pronounced Lay-ella and it is such a sweet name.

I voted Annaleise, Ella is really popular now, and I don't like Layla. Lila is really cute, but I did not choose it because Lily/Lilly are also so popular.

Ok, if that doesn't tickle your fancy, I personally like Elle Lila (I'm singing Layla and have a picture of 'back-in-sack' Brekenseck sp??) but that's just me - when ur girl goes to school these will be far distant memories for the old and grey!!! lol

I really like Layla too, but Ella is definately my favourite.

clearly i love the name ella:p however my DD is actually named Amiella (pronounced like Amy ella) but we always call her ella

we did this for a couple of reasons....ella is becomming a very popular name so she can be called Amiella at school if there are to many ella's

also i loved the name amilia so i put the two toghether

she can also choose when she's older what she likes best

I voted for Annaliese

for two reasons:
the first: it's a very sweet name, and looking at Imogen I thought if her sister looks like her, then defenately Annaliese.

and second: because there are 3 syllables in "Imogen" I thought that you would probably want to keep names sounding simular as there are 3 in Annaliese too :yes:

hi i dont like any of names. i dont think ruby goes with any of the names. As my partner brother named their little girl evie ruby what name. Maybe eva might go with it better. Our girl name was whitney jane i have to boys. My eldest named alexis lee and the youngest is thomas james. My partner agree on our eldest name but alexis was calling thomas before he was born. So we knda stuck to it. good luck with name.
