I've started off with a few of the Green Kids, so I've had a go at pocket nappies. And I have some Bamboo Baby Beehinds's on order...
But now I'm eyeing off the Swaddlebees AIO, and at $36 a pop, was wondering what others thought of them... Are they value for money considering they aren't a one-size-fits-all nappy like the GK or BBB? And are they as slim-fitting as they claim to be?

Also, just clarify for me- they already contain some absorbant material but benefit from being stuffed with more. Am I right? If so- what do you like to stuff them with?
Thanks heaps girls! ;)

They are a very trim nappy i can't really stress that enough  Also, there is a sawn in mircofibre but they do indeed benefit with the swaddlebee hemp insert. There should be a box when ordering the swaddlebee and it's an extra $7 by memory.

I am selling a medium Lavender one if you are interested.. it's been worn 2 or 3 times.. $25 which includes the hemp booster but that doesn't include postage. I'm only selling it because i have 3 already and a very healthy looking stash so i'm struggling to use them all :o PM if interested.

or try Rumpsters Em, they are really good. I don't have Swaddlebees so can't comment on them.

...Swaddlebees AIO, and at $36 a pop,

Just wondering where they're 36 dollars? The Weewuns has them listed for $29.95.

From what i can gather.. it's $29.95 for the nappy $7 for the swaddle hemp insert = $36.95 ;) You do need the extra hemp insert, without it causes the nappy to leak in no time.

Ah, gotcha! The earlier posts made it sound like it was $36 for the nappy and then another $7 for a hemp booster...

I have 3 of these and the more I use them the better I like them but definately wouldn't use them on mine without the hemp booster.

Thanks HEAPS guys! I've ordered two- I think I'm on my way to having a collection like yours Lauren. But because the Swaddlebees do seem to need that insert- well, that makes it more like a pocket nappy after all! Just a bit trimmer, going by the reviews here.
Oh and I've pm'd you back Lauren - I ordered mine before seeing your post/pm and I can't justify buying more then two :banghead: The 'but we're saving money in the long run' argument can only go so far...

Now I'm off to 'deal' with the bank statement before DH does!

I bought one...it leaks occasionally but I love the trimness, so I bought 3 more and now have 4 total and just getting used to how long to leave it on and Janie suggested boosting them with a face washer which I will try....couldn't justify an additional $7 per nappy for boosting

I have 3 swaddlebees and I have to say like Caroline, the more I use them the more I like them which I guess is true about most of nappies. (such as peapods)
My son has done quite a lot of huge explosive poo's in the swaddlebees and I was so glad he was wearing one of these and not a different nappy as they didn't leak at all!!!!! I was very impressed.

I also use the hemp boosters in them which are very difficult to get in at first but you soon get the nack. When I dry them inside out I then pull the nappy over the hemp when I hold it at the one end, I find that is the easiest way to fill it. iykwim?
I also bought the swaddlebees microfibre but it is very difficult to get both in, but I use these in my other nappies and they are great because of the hour glass shape, makes my other nappies slimmer, such as my greenies which I find very bulky but that's another thread! :p

I have just bought some ittibittis also which are just as slender but are an aio, haven't used them yet though but look great.

Thanks SO much for this post Donna! My Swaddlebees came in the post today and I've been puzzling over how to get that booster in them! It's nicely shaped though and would be so good in my GK's. I think that I'd almost choose this booster over the Hemparoo for them.

And the Itti Bittie's are on my list of nappies to try also :D  You'll have to let me know how they've been going for you :)

Sorry to jump in. Em did you know that you can get a GK's hemp insert in the shape of an hour glass now ? You can get the Green Kids hemp insert and booster set instead of using a hemparoo trifold. They are sold out at the moment but will be back in stock very soon.
