3rd birthday gifts - boy

so xmas, which is also DS's birthday is coming up fast and I have NO IDEA what to get him!!

We were going to get a bike, but we dont have anywhere to keep it

We were going to get a Leappad, but I cant seem to find one anywhere!!

Our house is pretty small so I just have no idea what to get, other than more plastic role playing toys :rolleyes::no:

A tonka! If you are lucky enough to still be able to find the metal one's go for it they last for ages and take so much plus provide great entertainment...I would go with that or maybe a train set boys love trains :yes:

One thing i was thinking of getting coop as i know he would of loved it at 3 was an ant farm. I am currently contemplating it for christmas currently.

Does he have a scooter? Go out and take him to find a helmet from a bike shop(i paid about $35 for mine but it fit him properly) so ge could use that for a scooter and maybe you can do a big bike next year?

The 2 things you mentioned were the 2 things I was going to suggest :laughing: As well as a trampoline, but if you don't have enough room for a bike then a trampoline might be a bit hard lol.

I have seen Leappads in BigW and Target.

What about a MegaSketch, Mega Blocks, Assorted Cars/Trucks, Water/Sand Table? I think an Ant Farm is an awesome idea as mentioned by PP

Ant farm is a great idea.,.. but ants give me the heebie jeebies!

He has Duplo already, so dont really want to double up... i could get some more though I guess (this was mine from when I was a kid!)

He already has a wooden thomas train set (I could also get more i guess)

Tonka truck is a great idea, I got a little plastic digger thing, but a big metal one is a good idea. I saw one on sale at bigw tomorrow only so I am going to look for a leappad at the same time, then I might have got xmas and bday sorted!

Scooter is a great idea too, I almost picked up one today, but decided against it because DH seems to be dead against the bike/scooter thing...

ummm oh, he also already has a sandpit, but it needs more sand and a cover. Not sure a 3 year old would be too impressed with opening that xmas morning! :laughing:
