My Egg Donation Mission is Complete

Hi Everybody

Well, I had my EPU this morning. Had some sedation beforehand, as I was VERY anxious. My heartrate was pretty high, so Dr Dreamy got me "done" first.

My lovely C was with me every step of the way. And thank God, because they couldn't get to my left ovary and had to go in through my uterus :eek: It was EXCRUCIATING. I'm still in a fair amount of pain. The funny thing is I couldn't even feel anything on the right side.

Well, I guess some of you will want to know the numbers.

14 eggs were collected, of which 13 were mature. Little embees are cooking as we speak (type...whatever).

My sweetie pie IM C was so lovely, and sent me a gorgeous basket of flowers this afternoon. I feel totally amazing. I'm on such a high. To see C and A so happy because of me is just indescribable. Not sure right now if I could go through it again. The pain is pretty horrible, but I'm not ruling it out.

So, I guess it's case closed on this one. Will let you know tomorrow how many bubbas have been created.

Glad your OK and sorry you have trouble with one overy, my left one never does a thing but the right is a right pain!!!

You have to remember that there was bound to be some obstacle, if it went perfectly today you'd be wondering what can go wrong, because at every step of the way you've had a little set back, which makes you even more amazing.

Hope those little embies are:chef: and all will go smoothly. :fingerscrossed:

If your on a high then the pain memories will fade rapidly hopefully, take it easy and drink loads we don't want those overies all over active.

Well done Michelle...what a trooper you are! So sorry to hear about your ovary being difficult to access...I've never heard of them going that route before! Makes me squirm in my seat just thinking about it. Sounds awful and you probably will be sore for a while, but you are wonderful to have endured that on behalf of your lucky IPs. Here's to a fab fertilisation report and success all the way. You truly are an angel and have changed someone's life today. Rest up and do drink gallons of water, it helps so much. The case may be closed, but I hope this is just the beginning of a lifetime of satisfaction and joy.

That is wonderful news Michelle! What a lovely batch of googies you have produced for C & A :thumbsup: I hope they get a good number of embies from this. Hopefully your relaxing with a hot water bottle, panadol and the gallons of water that Babydreams recommended. Look forward to hearing fert results.

The pain for you here may be huge (I don't envy you) but the joy and love that will most likely come about for many many people as a result - well the scales will be tipping!
