I'm new Mum - Flynn is 3 weeks and we have recently moved from Sydney - just wondering if there is any groups/new mums who would like to meet up? We live in Carseldine and happy to travel neaby.

Mothers Group

NORTH BRISBANE " THE NORTH BRISBANE COFFEE CLUB"

Hi: for anyone that is interested....we have a Mothers Group operating in North Brisbane. It currently has members from Northlakes, Albany Creek, McDowall, Hendra, Strathpine, Everton Park, Cashmere and a few other suburbs...so, as you can see, it is quite a wide variety of north Brisbane suburbs in there.

As at 16 March 2009, we have held 3 meet ups so far. Meet ups are held weekly. They rotate. So, this week it was on a Monday. Next week it will be on a Thursday.

We meet at a hotel in North West Brisbane that has a fantastic kids play area. There are a few babies and a couple of toddies in the group. The good thing about where we meet is that there is plenty of room for prams and good, cheap coffee and hot drinks.

It is for anyone that is pregnant, has a baby or small children and would like to come and meet other mums and their little ones.

So far, there is about 8 people coming but this fluctuates from week to week. Obviously, not everyone can make every week. It is a very relaxed group of people and no one will berate you if you can't come every week!

As bub hub is quite strict about what personal information we give out on here, it is probably best if you email me for more information about the location.

The next meet up will be Thursday 26th March 2009 at 9.00am. Location: a hotel on the North West side of Brisbane.
