for a Rumball? at a market?

They are GF, made with top quality dark choc, amaretto biscuits, organic cocoa, real butter and Bundaberg Special reserve Rum. They are ping pong ball size... maybe a tad smaller....

or a dried fruit truffle?

Same size as the rumballs, with dried apricot, hazelnuts, dried figs, dates, and currants, rolled in sesame seeds...

TIA

If it was marketed as high quality (like coco black/max bressan style) I would say it could be valued at $2 but I woudn't actually pay that much because I could make it myself pretty easily. Or maybe I would if it was on a nice display and you brought them individually - boutique.

Maybe sold in a big bag all kinda squatched up together I would pay $5 for 6???

I don't eat rum balls but buy individual handmade chocolates for $1.00-$3.00 without hesitation.

I would probably pay $2 if I had loose change floating around.

Ooh they sound yummy!

I'd pay around $1.50 each if they were advertised as being high quality.

I'd pay $2, if it was a GIANT rum ball I'd happily pay $4

It's hard to charge more though at markets cause there is so much choice for food usually & ppl like to go for best value.

It sounds delicious - id pay around $2 or $3.

Although I can't imagine why you'd change the traditional milk arrowroot recipe ;)

they cost me 55cents each to make..... so 50c is a little to low.

I plan to have them for individual sale, presented on a small antique silver cake stand with tall glass cover. I was thinking $2 for the rum balls and $1.50 for the dried fruit.

Maximum $2 but only if i really really wanted it and there was no better deals. I would be more likely to buy like 2 for $3 or something

Up to $3 for good quality. We sell yumballs at work (rumless). They are much smaller than a ping pong ball. We sell them for $2.50 and they sell out.

I think that sounds very reasonable for the quality and presentation.

I hope you sell lots!

Yeh in that case I woudn't have a problem buying them - price point would be fine with me.

I would make a sign saying what you have used in them also - i would definitely be more likely to buy some knowing you have used high quality ingredients.

You could tie a little tag to the glass cover and have the ingredients written on that.

Personally I wouldn't ever just buy one rum ball unless they were giant lol...

Would you consider like 3 for $4-$4.50...? That would be more something I would go for rather than $2 each as I'd probably want more... And it looks good if you sell more for less kinda thing...?

Like, 1 for $2
2 for $3.80
3 for $5.00???

That would still be a good profit :)

Nothing cos I don't like them (cos I hate rum - and don't like dried fruit so wouldn't have one of those either).

If it's a stall at a market, I reckon $1-$2 each. If at a school fete, 50c each.

I would pay that if presented like that and if you listed ingredients so the consumer knows they are paying for quality. Good luck! :)

$2 or 3 for $5, they sound lovely. Definitely list the ingredients in big text so people can see they're getting something of really high quality :)

$2-$3 :) Yummy.

50c is WAY too low for what you have described - to be honest, if I saw one for that price I would assume it was sh!t :o

So yeah a couple of dollars each or a little gourmet pack for $5 like pp mentioned .

I couldn't fit a ping pong ball in my mouth haha, I have a small mouth.

Probably no less than $1.50, no more than $2.00. 3 for $5 sounds good too.

If you display it nicely, I'd pay around 2 bucks too. I know one of the bakers in town sells them for 3 bucks and she doesn't even make them herself. I dont eat rumballs, but bought some for my parents who were quite disappointed with the quality.

I wouldn't buy just one, I'd probably get like 6 so everyone at home can have one. I'd pay $12 knowing they're homemade.

I'd pay a dollar or two. However I probably couldn't stop at one...so I'd end up spending $10 on quite a few.

Hehe! I hate rum balls too!!! I did have one for promotions sake and it was OK, but I HATE RUM!!! Lucky dh had(hehe) that Special Reserve Bundaberg or there is no way in hell I'd eat one.

I do this market stall monthly for the store I work at and they have a great name. I usually get all cakes from them but the chef is being a pooh so I'm making my own and I thought seeings as Xmas is coming up I would see how they go. The market is quite a mixed demographic...bogans, yuppies and alternatives, the bogans steer clear because they think the store is above them but the rest love us so I want to cater to all tastes......

Thank you all so much for your replies. I love that I can ask questions like this on here and get honest answers. I LUFF YOU GUYS!!!!! :smiliedance::highfive::hugs:

...I would totally eat them if they were rum-free rum balls (so chocolate balls?). :p

Good luck with your market stall! I think most people are willing to pay that kind of price for homemade treats at markets.
