Hi!
Just after some advice... My poor little boy has a rather nasty cold at the moment and the skin on his face has become really really dry. Is the Johnson Bab 24hr Moisture cream safe to use on their face? I do normally massage it into his body but haven't done his face...
Thanks

A tiny bit of Olive oil should do the trick....
I use sorbaline on my sons face when it gets a bit dry
I agree with Lucybelle, use olive oil!
(Steer clear of his eyes, of course!)

I have been warned off J&J products by midwives and my ECHN, especially for bubs with sensitive skin. Too many additives and perfumes.
sorbolene is good though I have also used paw paw ointment, and been recommended Gaia & moogoo products ... natural products with no additives or perfumes.
for bathing you may want to try QV bath oil .. or even some oatmeal in a bit of stocking.
all the best.
I agree - olive oil will do the trick

Hey Leisha,
Try Alpha Keri lotion, you can also get Alpha Keri Oil which I used in the bath when H was really little and had very dry skin. I still use the lotion on him if he has any dry sptos just use it at each nappy change that way you will remember. You can get both at the chemist.

Thanks Karena! I will check it out!
Hi leisha,
How's ryan, is his cold better?
Jack has very sensitive skin and I only use sorbolene cream. I use it as a bath wash, hair and for massage afterwards - I did first use the j + j bath washs etc but they all made his skin very dry, red and sore looking. I also use a sorbolene cream that has no additives (as some come with added things).
Hope it gets better,
Cheers
Belinda
(He gets a rash area on his face from his sticky eye, and the sorbolene helps with this too)

Thanks belinda! He doesn't seem to appear to have any reaction to the J&J bath wash, it has only been since he has had this cold that his face has become a bit dry!
Normally daddy baths him (this is their bonding time) and i was telling him about it last night on the phone (he is away with work) and he said right from birth he has used this cream ALL over his body (face included!) so i guess we can assume for the moment that he is ok with it...
I did however take note of the suggestions to use sorbolene cream so when i did my shopping this morning i bought some baby sorbolene cream to try!
Thanks!
I have also been told to stay away from J&J products & to use cold pressed Almond Oil for moisturising - it works wonders!
