Egg Nog recipe!

This year, I am having Christmas at my place, and I would like to try and make Egg Nog. Does anyone have a good recipe that they could share? :)

This makes a boozy, decadent eggnog. I downloaded it from the Taste website years ago and it's one of the best I've found so far. If we're not in the mood for something heavy we use more milk than cream, and if we're not in the mood for it to be boozy we use less grog. I find the trick with this is to keep everything nice and cold in the fridge before making. It makes about 1.5L :)

6 eggs
1 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/ teaspoon nutmeg
3/4 cup brandy
1/2 cup rum
2 cups whipping cream
2 cups milk


1. Beat eggs for 2-3 minutes until very frothy.
2. Gradually beat in sugar, vanilla and nutmeg.
3. Stir in brandy, rum, milk and cream.
4. Pour into jug for serving.
5. Dust with nutmeg
