Can any of the horse lovers on here recommend a good book about brumbies (sp?) and/or horse training that have a specific Aussie slant? I'm trying to think of christmas gift ideas for my older brother who in the last 10 years has become a farmer (!) and is now horse mad. He's been working with a woman for the last year caring for and helping to train her horses. He's not much of a reader, so nothing too, hmmm, scientific, if you know what I mean?

Any ideas?

I notice you are in Melbourne - if you have the time, check out this bookshop:
The Horseman's Bookshop
857 High St
Armadale, Melbourne
they also have a downloadable catalogue: http://www.horsemansbookshop.com.au/books.php

You could buy him a clinic with a trainer, like this one who specialises in brumbies and natural horsemanship...

Thanks Duchessa. I wasn't even sure my thread had posted as Bubhub froze me out right after!

I meant also to say that he's in Canada, so the clinic is a good idea but not practical.
