Anyone out there that has had Endometriosis?

My partner just had lap surgery Friday to remove the Endometriosis but they couldnt do it, because its Stage 4 (the dr's wouldnt know what stage until they enter) and will have to do it all over again in 6 weeks. This has really floored us as we wanted to start the IVF process this year :(

Has anyone out there had experience with this? We see Dr Anne Wednesday arvo but I thought I'd put it out there.

Hi there. I too have endometriosis. Last time I had surgery for my endo they removed 5kgs of tissue! Great weight loss technique! In fact Dr Anne's hubby was my surgeon!

How did your appointment with Dr Anne go?

I know it sucks that you will have to wait a little longer for your fertility treatment, but just think at least this way your giving your selves the best chances you can at it working.

yeah, it was Dr Anne's hubby that did my partners op also.

Appointment went well, she explained what it all means and why they put the merina in (its to shrink the endo to make it easier to remove - there is alot to shrink!)

She also said that after the next surgery (which is on the 9th Dec) they wait for the next period and then we can start the IVF process. So I would say, it will be probably be around Jan/Feb next year. Hope it all goes well for her
