nipple rings????

hey just wondering if anyone out there has breastfed with nipple rings in ?? I have spoken to my lactation consultant and she said it was fine but wondering if anyone has any experience with it?

i cant help you sorry. i took mine out a week b4 i was due. was to scared at the thought of b/feeding as the ring had like the bally bit in the middle.... milk production wise it doesnt effect it, just the saftey worried me personally.

I did this , an would take the ring out when ever i feed , but taken it out ever 2 hrs drove me batty!! in the end i had to take it out an it closed up in the middle.

DD2 had troube latching to it some times an would more prone to blocked ducts , I think mine was due to incorect proceder thou.

It didnt stop the milk flow thou ;)

when i got mine done years ago the piercer told me to take it out when you knew u were preggers cos otherwise the milk would come out too fast. mine got t aken out bout a yr before anyways but even now i get more milk and it comes out faster in that boob
