All you clothies are really close to converting me :D

I can sew, have an awesome sewing machine, but I've never sewn nappies, mainly patchwork.

I've been trying to search the web over the last week or so, and then I though I'd ask the ladies who have inspired me to help me through this crazy cloth nappy whirlwind cyclone I feel like I've stepped into.

My problem is I would love to make my own nappies for my two boys. However they both (especially DS1) have sensitive skin. So I'd prefer to buy organic or natural fabrics. Bamboo, Hemp or Cotton would be best but I can't find anyone who has it in stock, especially the bamboo.

The Beehinds look like a fantastic nappy ready made, but I really can't afford to buy enough to cover both boys full time, and since I can sew it seems like a waste if I don't at least try.

Please help me if you can - thanks again for starting this obsession

Hi Em :hugs: Nappies Covered is re-stocking tomorrow www.nappiescovered.com.au and www.rollickingrascals.com.au has pul cuts. Go and have a look at the OZ Cloth nappy site and they will have some links i'm sure. Someone on ebay also has supplies. Fleece is on sale at Spotlight but not sure if you can use that.

I was going to suggest Nappies Covered as they reopen again tomorrow 9am!;)

Bubba Earth (which is closed for now) stocks hemp etc too!

I searched and searched and have placed an order through an american site. DH is probably going to go bananas but hopefully it will save us some money in the long run. And even more hopefully I'll be able to source some wholesale hemp and/or bamboo fabrics to sell through my mum's patchworkshop. But that might take a while.

Nappies Covered had sold out already apparently

I just wanted to come on and say YAY! Because these guys just converted me too, Em!! And good on you for having a go at making your own! DH will come around eventually- I'm hoping that mine will too! Just hide those bank statements for the time being and talk up the 'savings in the long run' aspect! ;) :p
