hi there was just looking to share stories about labour i'll start ay lol.
born 15th january 2006 9 pound 4, 72 hour labour but 11 1/2 hours established labour, i went to hospital at 13 hours in and was told that it was not established and i wasnt contracting so i went home and waited, i got no sleep due to excitement but then at about 30 hours in my contractions were 4 mins apart and i went in to hospital but again they told me it was not established lol so the nurse gave me a tamazipan and sent me home to sleep, I got home and crawled into bed and bugger me 30 mins later my waters broke and i was off to the hospital when i got there my sleeping pill really kicked in and i got really dopey and sleepy, they kept me in and ran me a bath which was not a good idea as i couldnt keep my eyes open lol.
the nurse came in and pulled me out of the bath and gave me a pethadine shot to relax me that didnt do much either just made me very light headed and scared. I ended up going for and epidural and slept for 4 hours (yaaay,) I had 3 top ups and was just calling for my 4th when she came in and examined me and told me i couldnt coz i was too close and fully dilated, but bubs was in the wrong position and i had to walk ( have you ever tried walking when you cant feel your legs lol) bubs was coming out forehead first and was going to split me apart so we finally got him to rotate alittle and then it was all on about 20 mins later i had my bundle of joy in my arms and thankfully not needing stitches. he was 52 cms long with a head circ of 36cms and i wouldnt have it anyother way. Scary when they hand a big baby to u tho, all you think is my god you came out of where??? lmao
