Some of you might remember a little while ago I was deciding whether or not to get a 3rd dog before our first baby is born. Well I had a think about it and decided maybe an older puppy or dog would be better than a young pup... and I heard about the Greyhound adoption program on TV. unfortunatley we are not suitable to become greyhound adoptive parents as we live in a rural area and have lots of rabbits etc and not suitable to keep a dog that likes to run and chase rabbits!

I thought it was worth letting people know about the program though as greyhounds are supposed to have a really good temperament - and maybe someone out there might like to consider adopting one as their next pet. Their are organisations in each state...

We are thinking of getting an older dog that a breeder no longer requires prob another German Shepherd!! Cant wait - just hope I can stop at 3 dogs!!

We have a deerhound cross at the moment, also a chaser, so I can understand why they wouldn't recommend a greyhound for you. Our next dog may well be an adopted greyhound. My SIL adopted an ex-racer in Canada and he's gorgeous.
