Yup, all night i am  away while DP is apparantly settling DD until midnight, pretty much every night.
Problem is, i never hear her, at ALL! I use to but now, i dont and its weird. and kind of scary. Is it the pregnancy? Or has DD devolped this cry that only her father can hear?? Or could it be my DP is lying to get sympathy ;)
Has anyone else gone through this?? I have been on panadien forte at night only for my achilles but i was sleeping through DD before i was on that! This has been going on for about a month now, or just over, any ideas would be great!
(sure its great sleeping all night and stuff but its just ODD that i dont hear my DD until morning  )
I guess it shouldn't be a problem if bubs isn't hysterical only little crys, whimpers. Not sure which it is
My DS is still waking for short periods during the night, crying 5-10mins and back to sleep. I do not tend to him unless he crys past this time, which he isn't doing. Once they learn how to go to sleep on their own, it shouldn't be a problem, my DS is learning this technique. At least you know if bubs is distressed your DH will wake up and perhaps give you a nudge. :D
How is DH settling? Seems for a long time

See, that i should have asked :o (what type of crys)
I do not go to bed until i have put DD to bed so i know shes asleep so she must be waking through the night. What id o know for sure is that DP IS settling her (nursing her) and im trying to tell him that he needs to just pat her **** and she will be fine. (He has just changed jobs to a 24/7 roster so i dont want to be up all night with DD to nurse her if thats what daddy has been doing)
Apparantly last night she was screaming the house down while DP went outside for a smoke, yet i didnt hear a thing

 This use to happen all the time when i was taking panadeine forte (for severe pelvic pain) when i was pregnant with DD2. The forte makes me non-coherant for hours on end. Oh how i miss it :o
I say stuff it!! Let him attend to the cries at night :devil6:
Similar thing has been happening here LOL
I think it's partly due to my pregnancy and being just sooooo dead tired. DH normally won't wake for whimpering type cries but if it's DS's really scared cry, he is up and with him before I even rouse. I figure it's good bonding time for the both of them :p

Karnifool- ive only really been on it for 3 days so hmm
Maybe it is because im just so dead tired that i dont hear her little whimpers anymore. Ahhh well, as long asi outline a good plan on how to settle her i should be ok if he is ever at work at 7.30-9pm at night
Thanks girls :hugs:
I guess the most important thing is to make sure bubs is safe, nothing to tangle themselves in etc so you know nothing bad can happen.
Not sure how you can change anything about hearing the crys :hugs:
I dont have kids (yet :fingerscrossed: ) but had the thought...... Are you sure DH isnt being a big softie and what he is describing as 'screaming the house down' is really not much more than a little cry or whimper...?

Nicole- well i finally spoke to DP(had to wait for him to finish work lol) and he said no it wasnt just whimpering that she had woken up and decided to crawl to the other side of the cot to make it "louder"Its just weird that i only hear her for the mornings and the likes. (And dp likes to ignore it :p and let me get up and out of bed)
Atleast on the plus side, he lets me sleep during the night
