HELP - 2 yr old molar questions..........

Hi all,

DD is 20 months but I think she is cracking her 2 yr molars - when i put my finger on her gums at the back I can feel hard lumps there that are growing daily.

Questions

1. Does this sound like the molars are growing?
2. How long do they take to come through?
3. Did you find that they caused really unsettled sleep behaviour at night?
4. Did you find that bubs would really tug on their ear?
5. Did they cause an ear infection for anyones bub?

I thought I had this teething stuff sussed but these molars are a killer :thumbsdown:

Just thought I would revive this in case it got lost in all the posts that appear daily!

Most probably could be molars. DS is 19 months and has had his bottom molars for about 3 - 4 months now but I think his top ones are coming through at the moment.

He constantly had his fingers in his mouth but RIGHT down his mouth so that most of his fingers are all the way in. I figure he is trying to chew with his new molars to ease the discomfort a bit.

I did notice him tugging on his right ear yesterday on and off also but he hasn't been majorly upset as yet. Having said that, DS is a fairly easy teether though.

I am sorry but I can't answer your other questions as I really don't know. Hopefully someone will be able to answer for you. :)

1. sounds like they are under the gum Sometimes they don't show through for a while.
2. Quite a while for DS1.
3. He was the worst at night gave him panandol but I always knew when he was teething he is a big sook. Some other children you wouldn't know they were getting teeth, my DS has finally got all his teeth and now I am relieved.
4. &5 We found we suffered with alot of ear infections, which was worse than the teeth coming through. I had drops etc he never slept just whinged.
Hope this has helped. There were nights I had him sleep next to me just to calm him and send him off to sleep.
