View Full Version : Welcome to the new IUI/IUDI section!
Ok, so my vision for this section was to discuss issues and experiences that are unique to iui and or iudi. Eg choosing a donor, a place for the iui tww etc etc.
So welcome.

Thanks for the idea! I would have loved this 4 weeks ago haha
Im currently 6 weeks pregnant after our first donor iui.. More than happy to share my experiences and the journey we are now on!
Congrats! I was looking for a tww group to join and there were 2 sorts natural or ivf and I read a few on the natural bit and then read some on the ivf bit and thought to myself, we don't really fit in either group! Hence asked bubhub for this area.
:celebrate:For you bfp. It must be Mao exciting for you.
I can't wait. I have my fingers crossed, my toes my arms my eyes my legs, my everything crossed it works for us too!

Hi everyone,
I am new on here, and thought it would be nice to join this thread as I am starting my second round of iui tomorrow -with fsh injections(first time was a success and I have a beautiful little 19 month old boy!)
I am a bit anxious this time round, being older and still ttc naturally for over a year...no luck obviously!
So :fingerscrossed: for the next cycle.
Would love to hear how you are all going too!

Hi Flynn's Mumma  and welcome. Good luck with your iui today. We all seem to have migrated over to the tww thread in this forum I think the title is 'first iudi cycle underway - join us for the tww?'.
You'll find a lot of really supportive and friendly people in there. Hope to see you there soon.

Hi ladies, I'm doing my first IUI cycle and am very glad I found this new section. I am due to ovulate in the next 7-10 days so I am excited about my first IUI.
DH and I had our blood screenings done today ( compulsory at my clinic, to test for HIV etc), DH had this semen analysis today as well and I'm booked into have a HSG on Wednesday. All systems go here!!
Look forward to sharing the journey with you all.
Hello there
I had my first IUI last week, and am now 7 days in to the dreaded 2ww, and going insane.
It took a long time to conceive DD (and needed fertility assistance), and now trying for number 2. It's been almost a year, and we've tried Clomid, then FSH injections, and now FSH + IUI.
:fingerscrossed: for everyone in here!

Good luck Girl X with you TWW.
I had my HSG today, my gosh was it uncomfortable and horrible. Lucky it only lasts a minute or two. The good news is that my uterus and tubes were all clear, no blockages there. The bad news is that I am cramping quite badly and bleeding quite heavily too. I didnt go to work afterwards because I'm in quite a bit of pain. Its starting to get a bit better now.
So now my tubes have been given the all clear and they ahve been given a cleanout with the dye, it makes me more excited but anixous about approaching ovulation. I'm anixous because I have a feeling I won't ovulate this month.
:fingerscrossed:

Hi flynnsmumma,
I am starting IUI with fsh injections. I have done IVF 4 years ago and no success. I fell pregnant naturally 3 months after and we couldn't understand how it was possible. My new doctor said it might have been from the fertility drugs. I only got to 8 weeks and nothing since. My question to you is, how many times did you do IUI before you got your son?

Hi Little Miss Perfection,
I am sorry you had to go through your loss. It totally sucks when you finally get what you have wished for and it gets taken away :hugs:
I have had a few different experiences with IUI. When I had my first one, I was younger - 34, and amazingly, it worked the first time to get my little guy.
Since then, I have had 4 cycles of injectables, trigger injection and then iui.
During this time, I had a m/c at 7 1/2 weeks.
Now I have just received today my bt results and a BFP!
I don't know if it was an age thing, a stress thing or what, but with those failed iui's, I guess it was just my body not being ready.
There is a different thread in the iui section - 'join us for the tww' and there are some amazing women there who have been on incredible journeys, ivf and iui, and would be happy to share their thoughts and experiences with you also.
Pop in over there if you like, but either way let me know how you go with things.
Good luck on your iui journey - I hope it's a short one!
