View Full Version : Brisbane North Childcare feedback ?
I'd like to put my DS into childcare early next year for a few days a week (should be 1yr old by then). Has anyone got any good/bad feedback for centres either near to Chermside or between there & the city. Also, has anyone had any experiences with Montessori@Wavell Heights, Abc@Nundah or Tadpoles@ Lutwyche. TIA.

Sorry to quote but it was the only way it would let me reply!
My DD goes to Bright Beginnings at chermside west, near the big roundabout and craigslea schools. She loves it and gas been going since she was 4.5months (she is 2.5 now). The have been great and we have had no issues.
Def go and check it out soon as they have limited places!!
Montessori has the longest waiting list! Basically, you'd need to have them down before conception. It looked great though. I used to have my DS at Clayfield Capers, and I was really happy with them. They had a lot of mature staff (in addition to the young ones) and the building was really new, clean, bright and airy. I worked in the CBD at the time and as the daycare is really close to Eagle Junction station I'd catch the train in from there (I lived at Chermside). I did use to drive past the Montessori at Wavell Heights everyday and get jealous though ;)
Thanks heaps...will look into those :-)
I didn't like the Montessori place at Wavell Heights. They were not very welcoming and scored only average in the 'security and protection' part of accreditation. Perhaps they weren't very welcoming as we are probably wasting their time as a prospective enrolment!!! I then found Clayfield Capers (recommended through a friend) and love the place. Quite a few young staff, but very mature and seem to know their stuff. I do alot of sneaky watching when they think I have left, or before I 'arrive' and so far cannot fault them.
