question?

I have to make a cake for my friends birthday lunch, which is on Saturday. Should I make the cake on the day OR the day before???

I wont have heaps of time on the day, but I want the cake to taste fresh. Any Ideas?

:chef: My mum is the birthday cake maker in are family. And she always does them the night before the party. As everybody is in bed and she can take her time. And if she does not like anything she has done on the cake, she still has time to change it in morning.
