When is everyone having their first antenatal app?
I got my booking in letter today and they can't get me in until Nov 13th so I will be 15 + weeks then....

I am booked into OB 16/10 - so two weeks from today!

I'm booked in for the 18 October, I'll be about 10.5 weeks.

I didnt have my first antenatal appointment until 18 weeks! The hospital said there was no reason to see me before then.

i've been booked in for Monday - very excited. By my original dates I would have been 9 weeks, but by the latest only 8 1/2. Perhaps because its my first she wants to see me earlier.

Me no complain!

I rung and booked when i was about 8 weeks pregnant, but didn't get in until i was almost 6 months preggas!!:eek: So about 22 weeks along, i think...

Our first appt is 23rd October - will be 1 day off 10wks. I think most OBs seem to have their first appt at 10wks whereas midwife clinics seem to be later. My sister went through shared cared with our GP and the midwives and she didn't get seen by them until she was 20wks. Then she didn't have another appt with them until she was 28wks - just went to our GP each month. I can't wait until our first appt - I love love love my OB, he is wonderful.

Hi all,

I'm jealous! I am completely disorganised with everything, and a tad confused about the best way to go. At first I thought shared care with GP and middies, so booked in there... but now DH is a bit keen on the idea of an OB and going fully private, so I know think that we should explore that option a bit more. I have my next GP appointment on the 16th Oct and I am already 8 weeks now! Plus I have no idea which OBs are good in the ACT, but if it is like anything else here, I won't get an appointment until bub is crawling! This is my first pregnancy... I think I need a "Dummies Guide to...." :laughing: :o

I love hearing how all the scans are going for you ladies though! Tis v exciting and no doubt when I actually get mine done it will be well worth the wait....

I have got my 1st appointment on the 17th of October. By then I will be 27 weeks.

I have one more appointment with my GP & then she'll give me a referral for the hospital I think... that would probably make me 12 weeks when I see her & 16 when I see them... ahh! I don't know????:laughing:

I'll probably see my GP on Thursday after I get the U/S results and go to him to get my antenatal blood test results and the referral letter. Then I can book in! Last time I started at the birth centre at 10 weeks, hopefully I can do the same again:yes:

Hey Kayte, who is your OB? You're going to Glengarry to hey? I've got Dr Gan, he's just across from the hospital.

I went to my GP last Tuesday and she sent all the info off the Hospital and today I received my appt which is in 2 weeks, 18th Oct. I should be about 10 1/2 weeks then. Have got a scan tomorrow to check that it's a viable preg because of mc in July but all feels good this time.

Last time my first appt wasn't until 12 weeks so hopefully they are quiet because the hospital is awesome if they are not too busy.

Hi guys,

Because im considered as such a high risk pregnancy, i had my first US at 4.5 weeks then another at 6 weeks and i have an appointment every 2 weeks from monday, Monday is with the Ob again then 2 weeks with some other specialist for me then back to the Ob etc.
I have to inject myself with blood thining needles each day to try and keep this bubba alive. I have Ultra Sounds already but i dont know how to put them on here.
