I am about to sell my P&T (I think) well I am hoping I am doing the right thing anyway. I hate my P&T so much (its bulky, ugly, bub disappears in there) but what if it is only because bub is so small in there and maybe it will get better??

Anyway tell me what is a good pram? Or would you go stroller? What is out there? I am willing to spend whatever?

I've had so many calls for this pram so I need help fast before I part with this pram.

I have the strider, very happy with it. I have the standard seat and the bassinet attachment. Easy to switch them, easy to have bub facing me or facing out when she's older. Easy to attach a second seat if I'm ever crazy enough to have another one!!

I didn't like my P&T either. Next time I am going A Strider Plus. I had a Strider with DS1 and love it, best pram ever. Looks trendy, not overly expensive, BUT it is a little bulky, no where near as heavy and awkward to put in the car as a P&T though.

I've just brought a strider plus it cost $515 for the pram and $175 for the bassinette and $269 for the capsule attachement

I'm selling my p&t explorer, hated it, and I've got a baby jogger city select. I prefer it over the strider plus and I love it so much. I use it every day, I won't be buying another pram.

Everyone so far seems to have Striders! I also had one. It was great but very bulky!

With DD1 I decided to get a stroller when she got a bit bigger thinking it would be easier and lighter. I hated the stroller though. I often push the pram/stroller with one hand as I always seem to be holding little hands/carrying bags/on the phone/etc and strollers are so difficult to push with one hand... or at least mine was. So I ended up selling it.

I was lucky enough to pick up a barely used strider plus for $200 - and I got the car capsule and also the bassinet attachments. I've used all three options heaps :) it is a little bulky and I have been stuck in a checkout at Coles and had to reverse out but that was only once and only because of those stoopid big electronic security thingos.

I love my strider its awesome and also will use it for baby number 2 when we have one :)

I have a strider plus and love it!!! Don't have to wake the little man to get him out of the car. So easy to steer as well and it wasn't to expensive either.

My friend has a mountain buggy, she liked it but I don't think bub can face you?

I think my strider plus was about $700 with normal seat, bassinet and a few other extras. My mum bought it so not 100% sure.

Bugaboo Cameleon all the way! Not the cheapest but they are awesome. Really light, easy to steer, fits through aisles in supermarkets, bub can face you or away and it gas the bassinet attachment. Imine

I have a Mountain Buggy Urban jungle, its a good pram but bulky and heavy. Its brilliant for walking, rural, running that type of thing but I dont like it for the shops. I also have a combi, this pram is amazing. So light and small prefect for shopping.

I am all for the bugaboo too. I had the Chameleon with my DS who is now 4 and I am just pregnant again. I am so happy I kept it. I am going to buy the Maxi Cosi Capsule and adaptors so then it fits straight onto the frame from the car (if that makes sense) so no waking baby up. Its extremely lightweight, all the fabric comes of to be washed. I am going to replace the hood and seat cover with a new funky look and hey presto it will be like new :)
Only downside, not really appropriate if you have a baby and toddler as you can really only use the wheelie board, you cant get a toddler seat for it.
I loved it as you can turn it round to face either way and to avoid the sun getting in baby's eyes when out walking, you can also flip the handle over and its easy to drag across the beach which is great when you want to head to the beach for the day. Love it love it love it.
Good luck with your pram search, sure whatever you decide will be great XX

Yeah I know! They are everywhere where I live do I thought they must be good and the sales lady kinda made me think it was better than it actually is.

I used it for 5 months with the capsule attachment. It was so bumpy outside and when DS got too big for the capsule he would cry facing away from me. He actually sleeps in the city select which he never used to do.

If you're planning 2 close together I would get the city select or strider. The city select seats are both full size and both recline in certain configurations. My friend has a chameleon and I think they're so lovely.

City series jogger. Light, easy to fold, lots of storage space/compartments, good canopy to keep the sun out, awesome for walking/running, easy fabric to clean.

i have the baby jogger city select, and love love love it... its great as a single and great as a double, it has so many different combinations, can have a capsule or a bassinet great clours and easy to fold and clean...

when we where looking at prams we where tossing up between the BJCS and the strider plus but the BJCS won in the end because it is not so bulky and wide and the second seat sits at the front and you dont have to loose the basket space

normally you pay over $900 for the frame and 1 seat, but Baby Bunting has the 2010 model on sale ATM for $899 with the second seat and a belly bar Which I think is about $300 off RRP

We got the Babylove one, and also bought a second hand Childcare one - they are very similar. We love them. Way cheaper than the Bugaboos or other fancy prams. The babylove also has a travel system where you can clip a car capsule in.

Seat can be parent facing or forward facing, flat or upright, the pram is easy to fold, compact and not bulky. Only downside is a small shopping basket and only fits one baby. The childcare one is slightly more sturdy. I recommend you check them out!

Good luck - picking a pram is really tough! I did so much research I was dreaming about prams but I'm really happy with my decision.

Go the jogger! Perhaps bub was having a bad night. My bub loves the pram, will happily spend any amount of time in it. I walk everyday and also usually stop for a coffee somewhere too. I get lots of comments about how calm and happy he is to be in the pram. A mum at playgroup made comment that her baby will not sleep in the pram at all, It didn't look like a very comfy one. Heh heh

Wow so many people love the BJCS! I had a look at one on weekend and it looked good, but also checked out the iCandy Apple and Valco Rebel Q.

I thought the BJCS was quite big and long. I'm not sure that its right for me. I will only have one bub at this stage so the double feature seems kind of a waste for me now.

Do you guys find it a bit too big and awkward?

What is it about the P&T that everyone hates?

I was looking to get the explorer when bub #2 comes. Ds will be 2.5 yrs old when bub is born and at the moment sleeps in the pram when I go walking or shopping(ive got a city mini at the moment which I love) so I want a good seat for both kids, not a toddler board or toddler seat that clips to the front of a pram. Im quite small so find the bjcs too long and strider too big. Any suggestions?

They are only $499 for the single seat and $150 for the attachment or there abouts though - so still very good prices!! - I was planning to get a city select but I just don't think ill get use out of a double pram..

Hi there!

I can't fault my Mountain Buggy - it is THE BEST! I couldn't recommend it highly enough. It is sooo easy to push and steer, like the 4WD of prams I say! Easy to fold, light frame, have never had a problem getting through shops and checkouts with it and definitely comfortable for our 20 month old - she's been in it since birth and still in A1 condition! In saying that ours is the Urban Elite model, made in New Zealand so I don't know how it compares with the newer models since P&T bought MB they're now made in China. YOu can pick up a NZ model on Ebay for pretty good $$$ these days too!

In our mothers group we all either have the P&T or a MB and those that bought a P&T wish they had bought a MB - I don't think I've met a parent who is happy with their P&T!

Now we are expecting number 2, there are no options for attaching a toddler seat to the MB so we have invested in the icandy Pear (which we got 2nd hand) - haven't had the opportunity to test it out much yet but it is really compact for a 2 seater pram, no bigger than our MB, easy steering, lots of seating configurations and looks fab too!

But nothing will compare to our MB.....love, love love it!

Goodluck with the pram shopping!!
