Hi Ladies,

I can't help but notice how young some of you mums and mum-to-be are! Having just turned 29, I am feeling a little old TTC #1 !!

Is there anyone else out there in similar circumstances, would love to hear how you are tracking.

DH and I have only just started TTC # 1 in the last few months so who knows how long this process will take!

Hi AngelGirl - I am 28 ...... and I know what you mean about feeling a tad old ... . Even though I have always known I wanted kids - I haven't felt really ready until recently. DH have traveled, gotten married and are about to start building our house - and we are both really excited about starting a family. I don't think age really matters and everyone is different - but I don't think either of us would have been ready when we were really young - as we were having too much fun just being us and doing what we wanted, when we wanted. Good luck - I hope you get your BFP very soon :)

Don't feel old... but i totally understand how you feel. I've been reading post and seeing people with ttc #3 and then seeing ages like 22 and younger. They are so brave... That's around the time I feel like an oldie

 Angel,
I sooooo relate :) DH and I stoped using Birth control long before we began "trying" so to speak. This is only my second cycle of temping and OPK'ing and really trying to time things. I must say, its amazing what I have learnt about my body.. !!

Feel free to PM me if you ever want to chat. I have found Bub hub invaluable in sharing the TTC Journey.

My GP was very reassuring when i went in for my pre TTC check up. I was so scared he would say, your getting to old, not much we can do!!
but he was great. He reassured me that I still have time for choices.. I dont have to rush into anything, just to be aware that my fertility will decrease with my age  Everyone is different though. !

I hope your stay here is short, and that you get a BFP soon!!! :)

Hi AngelGirl
I know where you are coming from.... We didn't start TTC#1 until I turned 29. When I had my DS and I joined a mothers group for first time mums only (arranged by the hospital), I thought I'd be the oldest one there!!! But to my (plesant) surprise I was smack bang in the middle of the ages.

GOOD LUCK!!

I am not alone...yay! It's great to hear from you all! DH and I have been together for 10 years and just got married recently.. We've done a lot of traveling together too and lived overseas for 4 years. Marriage and children were always on our agenda but it's only now that we're ready for that stage of our lives!!

Good luck everyone, looking forward to seeing some '+' results this month! :fingerscrossed:

Girls, now I'm feeling old! I'm 31 and ttc baby #1. AngelGirl I can totally relate! DH and I were together for 7 years before he proposed (he said he just wanted to make sure!), we travelled and then got married last year.

I guess I just thought it would only take about 6 mths at the most before it happened, I'd been off the pill for a year before ttc (admittedly DH was away for 5mths of that year).

I'm just worried because I really wanted to have had my first bubby by now, I get so sad when I go to the shopping centre and see babies and kids everywhere, I just keep thinking...how can all those other women do it and I can't :crying: , I'm doing everything I can....now I wish I'd started a bit earlier but it's just that we weren't ready before (financially)...

Anyway, lots of older women have babies...let's remember that

I agree you're not alone! I'm 29 and we got married in April this year and baby #1 is due in May next year (I'll be 30 by then  ). We have known each other for 8 years but it took us a while to get our "stuff" together and settle down :D . I did lots of fly in/fly out jobs in the bush as did DH so it was never really the right time to get married and have babies. There was another thread about this a while ago and there was HEAPS of ladies on there.
