I know, you can also see your sister in one of the photos but not one of all of you together. I can't beleive I didn't get a photo of us all- I was so angry with myself. I'm not usually that disorganized. :o

My dad's home today. We'll be going to the park at Nepean River. I hate when my Dad's home from work, it mucks everything up.

I saw the cake- it looked absolutely gorgeous. You are very talanted. Good job.

Leesha- awsome photos. Reuel looked so gorgoeous, in is little nike shoes (I think, I'm not good with brands:o ). Can I ask you a question though, how come you had your wedding candle on the table? Was that for his dedication?

Mrs Little
03-10-2006, 08:46
Morning everyone...

I never seem to have enough time anymore. I've got a jam packed day today, so i thought i'd come on here before i go and have a shower and start my day.

Lee- yes it was our wedding candle. As part of Reuel's dedication we renewed our wedding vows- as we have one extra family member since we said our vows when we got married- so our vows now include Reuel as part of our family unit. I don't think they were nike shoes....we bought them from payless shoes. But they are cute. Did you notice that both my boys were matching? I thought it was a cute idea. Rohan loved it.

Tam- Thanks. I love my family too. We had an awesome day.

Mel- glad to hear that i fit my bubhub image! Sometimes i don't think i look like i should!

Whats everyone up to this week?

I have my first u/s on the 18th of October with my Ob. I'm really excited. In the mean time i'm trying to busy myself with school work for next term and house stuff..otherwise i'd be thinking about bub #2 all day!

Best be off...

I had Bailey's swimming lesson today. He cried. This is so unlike him, he used to love the water. So, I took him to ripples afterwards and he had so muc fun. I also enquired about lessons- I'm going to go sometime this week to see what they're like.

Leesha- that is so sweet. I love it! I wish I could do something like that. Sometimes I get so upset that I can't give Bailey the one thing I'd absolutely love to have- a family unit! Good on you for appreciating it. And, re-looked at the photos- matcing- very cute!

Leesha- first u/s. Wow, hey bub's is due on the 6/6! I wanted to have a baby on the 7/7/07! I thought that would be awsome.

Could it be Monday? My sister and I are due to go to visit my papa on Thursday and we were also going to go to either the Aquatic Centre or Taronga Zoo on Friday. But if this is a prob, I could rearrange.

Bailey can drink out of a straw! :yelclap: Also his daycare teacher gave me some advice on his eating. She says I might be supplementing his food with formula (because formula is allot more filling than cows milk), so we will be trying to cut out his milk one at a time. I'm gonna be tough and stay tough!

Hi everyone,

Lifes been a bit busy at the moment. Jacob slept in until 10am this morning . So that threw me out of whack! I waited until he woke so we could have a shower together and then when I was getting reading he took his nappy off and POOED in the laundry (Thank god it was on tiles!). And then I had to rush to my doctors appointment while he went to my mums. We went and did the shopping and just got home to find the Foxtel guy has came to FINALLY install Foxtel :D! YAY. So i'm now sitting out the back with Rusty eating my toes and Jacob playing. Thank god for the laptop and wireless internet :D!

Lee, I too think I need to cut A LOT of Jacobs milk out too as he prefers this over food. But we will get there.

Oh well best get going. Jacob keeps being a klutz so we are heading indoors

SimplyMum
04-10-2006, 14:29
YAY- Foxtel. Love it. I hope you got the Health and Home channel- my fav. Lots of baby shows on this! LOVE TAMING TODDLERS!!!

Bailey's daycare got a new childcare worker- so now I can look for a job! :smiliedance: I've just finished doing my resume, now I just need to ask some people to be referees. Do you think it's against poolicy to ask his daycare worker wo is also my softball coach to be a personal referee?

They also said Bailey ate is lunch today. So we will be taking the lead from them and working on his lunch time food and milk. Tough love!

Mrs Little
04-10-2006, 14:43
Heya all...

Monday next week is fine for us to meet. Preferably after 11.

Mel- you certainly know how to keep yourself busy.

Lee- great news about looking for a job and Bailey's eating. I was just starting to think about decreasing reuel's milk the other day too. How much is everyone giving at the moment for each meal? We've just started full cream milk for weetbix and custard. We'll see how Reuel goes for a week or two on it and then transfer his bottles/sippy cups with milk. Did anyone water down the milk to start with?

I started wrapping Reuel with one arm out today. Took 30mins of crying- argh! It was awful doing it... reminded me of when he was 4 months old. He just woke and stirred after 1hr and then went back to sleep. This unwrapping business is a mean feat for us, as reuel is such a comfort kid. Wrapping is his comfort. I don't want to be wrapping him still when bub 2 comes. And i'm tired of getting up once a night to rewrap him.

Reuel is going for his needles tomorrow...:crying:

Mel are you going to try to find out the sex of bub at the next ultrasound?

No :barf: yet for me...but EXTREME tiredness and sore boobs. It's reassuring though....u know the whole 1st three months stress- as you worry if this pregnancy is ok.

Lee- Bub no.2 is due on the 6th but i'm going to be induced at 38 weeks due to kidney issues. Not looking forward to being induced again but if it means a healthy baby and no affects on my kidneys..then so be it.

Talk to you all soon,
Mrs Little & Son.

Melo

I'm soo looking foward to getting Foxtel back! It hasnt been too long, but its felt like FORVER!

Jacob just wants to sleep! He got up at 10 and went back down at 1:30pm. I'm not complaining as it would be a bit hard at the moment with the guy here.

Lesha - Well as i've already had my 19 week ultrasound, I dont have any more covered by Medicare. But I think I might want to have another one :). I had a doctors appointment today and he said that the baby is a great size for 28 weeks and its head down. Also that its arm is very close to my ribs (Thats why they've been so sore!). Its amazing how they can tell you this just by feeling.. When I feel I cant hardly feel anything. I've got the Glucose test sometime this week, when I feel up to it. Am not really looking foward to it!

Lee - I think its fine to ask Bailey's carer, as you have a bit to do to her aswell. That would be a 'Personal' reference yeah?

Tam - Congrats on the weight loss :smiliedance:!! Thats fantastic!

I just pulled out my study and i'm SO unmotivated lol. I just read the words and they blur around in my head.

Oh went out for dinner last night with a big group of friends, it was SO nice! Mum looked after Jacob, and off Matt & I went. It was nice to have a meal in peace!! It was a good chance for Matt to meet all of my Paraburdoo friends.

Jacob is invited to a girls 1st birthday party tomorrow in Tom Price, but i'm not sure if i'll go yet. It's only 80kms, but because i'm not sleeping well at night i'm SO tired! And i'll have to do the trip by my-self. Also i'm such a wuss when it comes to overtaking cars, and at the moment there is so many tourists on the road with their caravans and what not.

SimplyMum
04-10-2006, 16:12
Mel- you lead a much different life to what it's like here in Syd! I imagine that you wouldn't feel too confident about overtaking here- sometimes you gotta be pushy!
And 80kms away! I think that's like from here to the city!
I know how you feel with the study- I gotta go back in a week and a half and I haven't studied or anything!

Tam- I forgot to include in my last post! HORAY! I agree with Leesha, the slower it comes off the more likely hood it'll stay off. Plus, think of Tam in a bikini! (I'm not quite at that stage yet, I still think of Lee in a rashie!!!)

Bailey's pulling all the cds out!

Leesha- you still wrap Reuel? That must be so difficult. :hugs: Wish I had some tips to wean him off it but I'm  !

I got told to day that there is a very high risk of Bailey having ADHD because his Dad had it. So, from today forward- I will be watching what he eats like a hawk. Gotta stay away from preservatives, food colouring and additives. I think I might have to check his fish fingers and vegie fingers. I don't think it affects him much now but I think it's more to get me into the routine of checking the ingredients and to be wary of these things. I think I'll be going back to cooking all his dinners rather than frozen food. :chef:

Well... seems everyone has bundles of good news, I'm happy for everyone!

I think I have my sh*t sorted now,my AF has returned and that's all that need be said.

I've started Christmas shopping, how sickening. I bought my brothers a combined present - one of those activity inflatable pools from Toys R us (the slide, water squirter etc)(oh and it's not the only present they'll get), I also bought Lill something but I was dying to play with it myself so it's no longer a Christmas thing lmao
I'm thinking about getting my dad a nose trimmer, seemed he didn't see the joke when I mentioned it for his birthday and actually wanted one lol
Stuck on girly ideas (sister, step mother)... ideas welcome.

And omg, speaking of my step mother, she's neurotic!!! Insane ball of fury wrapped up into an 'innocent' human shaped walking machine... blah.

Ok, topic of food, lill seemed to go off it completely most of last week... Turned out she wasn't the only one so didn't feel so bad. She's good now and scoffing anything and everything.
I also noticed the other night she has a large head... then my sister said the next day "She has a really big head". I'll say I'm not nuts, it's just the messed up upbringing!

Leesh, your persistence astounds me! I gave up wrapping at about 4 months! Lill just sprawled herself out where she lay and the screaming became just too much (was also at sisters in small apartment with poor suffering neighbours lol).
Does Reuel wake when he's unwrapped?

Lastly, I'm getting around to setting up a photo account thingy, too lazy to load them... but one day I will share photos, promise! lol

Be good :)

Just a quick post, my poor baby :(.

I was making him a bottle this morning, turned my back for 30 seconds and in that time he had got a can of dog food out and dropped it on his foot! There was blood every where...

Went down to the hospital and hes lost the toenail and we need to take him back daily to get it re-dressed. I dont know who is more sad!

SimplyMum
05-10-2006, 14:27
Oh, you poor thing.:gloomy: I think that would have to be the first big boo boo, requiring a hospital! :(

Went to visit my Nan today (doing the rounds over the school hols) in Manly- what a long drive. It takes ages. And so tiring.

Oh and I am to hot and bothered with personals at the moment but just had to say Erin- you crack me up.

Melo

Hes okay now, except I was about to give him some Panadol this afternoon (The nurse at the hospital gave me some to take home) and I looked at the Expiry Date (I do this for EVERYTHING!) and it expired in September 2006!!!!! Okay, I know it wasnt that long ago but STILL! And she had already given some to my child!!! Arent they meant to look at that????!!!! Arrrgh!

Jacob is now fine, running amok and even pulling at his toe. Matt came home from work to spend the day with Jacob, funny though hes spent most of it on the computer!!! MALES! :p. He is going to come into town tomorrow morning with me too, so Jacob can get his toe redressed.

Cool, well, what do you want to do on Monday then? Should we go to kidz club in Abel street just to be different? Or would everyone prefer to stick with lollypops? It'll be easier when bubs are a bit older and then we could go to a park.

Got cramps today. Argh, feel icky and sore. :gloomy:

Well, I must go and get ready to go down to pixie photos. My SIL is getting the three boys photos done today.

Hello to the September 2005 mums,

I am new to the site and thought that I would introduce myself, my name is Jenny and my DS Archie is just over 13 months.

My DH and I are hoping to TTC#2 mid next year, and I see that there are some #2's on the way here already, good luck! I am a bit scared about coping with another one, Arch was a very colicy/reflux baby and fingers crossed that another will be much quieter!

I am back at work three days which is where I log on (oopS)!. Hope its OK that I dropped in to say HI!!:smiliedance:

Welcome Jenny!

The more the merrier!

We had a bit of a rough night last night and I ended up camping on Jacobs floor with him. Lucky me!. It probably wasnt the best idea being 6 months pregnant lol, my back is killing me now and I can hardly move my shoulder!!! We took him to the hospital this morning to get his bandage changed and he was such an angel :D!

Mrs Little
06-10-2006, 13:33
Welcome Jenny!

My DS was very colicy/refluxy baby. It was a nightmare. I'm praying that #2 isn't like him. On the other hand, i know what to do now and how to help them. What do u do for work?

Mel- were u up all night because of his foot or something else. You're game- camping out on the floor at 6 months pregnant...wont be any of that in this house!!!!

Hello everyone.

Leesha- Finally got on!

Welcome Jenny! Good to have a new face (so to speak)! These old gals were getting a bit old!:D Where abouts are you Jenny (other than doing the naughty thing at work! Used to do it all the time!)

It's on Abel street. You know where Batt street is in Penrith? Near the RTA, it's a street off that. You don't have to pay for bubs under 12months (Bailey's now 11months old:p )

Mel- I wouldn't even consider sleeping on Bailey's fllor now let alone at 6months preggas. Although when I was 6months preggas I was only starting to show. Bailey too had a bad night last night, slept in my bed or shall I say all over my bed! I was squashed up against the wall gasping for air. You wouldn't think a little man 72.5cms long would end up with the WHOE bed over a 160cm person! Well, let me tell you- I would have had more room sleeping in his cot!

Melo
06-10-2006, 20:44
Yeah, I had him in bed with us but Matt has to get up so early to go to work its not fair on him. It was the first night in AGES he has woken up, usually hes been sleeping through 12 hours a night :D. I think it was because of his toe. The floor wasnt tooooo bad, I had a couple of blankets on the floor lol.

Mrs Little
07-10-2006, 08:41
Oh Mel...how do u do it!!!

Lee- i can't get away with Reuel being under one anymore..i think he looks to big! How much does it cost for over 12 months?

Feeling gross today....nearly threw dinner up last night. i can't believe this is happening so quickly. I'm only 5.5 weeks.

Well have a heap of things to do today...talk to you all later.

Mrs Little & Son.

SimplyMum
07-10-2006, 09:20
Leesha- bummer. I will try and find out. Otherwise, we could just stick with lollypops- at least we know where it is, what's it like and how much it costs. Or do we, does it cost for over 12months?

Done a eap of cleaning this mornning- more to do.

Mel- Bailey has been waking up as well, althoug last night he slept in is own bed for the first time in about a week so that was really good. I think he's got his 2nd eye tooth coming through. I can just make it out. I hope Jacob settles back down although he does have a fairly good reason withh his toe- we'll let him have this one!:D

Erin and Tam- you are both being very quiet lately. I hope everything is ok. :fingerscrossed:

LilShenanigans
07-10-2006, 09:20
LOL I so don't miss morning sickness!!!! lol

Finally, Jenny a new face... even I'm honestly getting bored with myself :p WELCOME!

Mel, I know how you feel! For the last 2 months of pregnancy I was anywhere but in my own bed, either I had the good inflatable bed at my dads(rarely), or the one that went quite flat at my sisters! The backaches, sore shoulders :( Ooowie

Hmm, I've actually got no reason to be here, nothing to say really...

Oh I played a trick on Lill, got her an identical cup to the one she loves (this was because she'd started to only drink OJ! ) anyway, I put OJ in her normal cup, and milk in the other... did that for two days then switched them... Now she will drink milk from her cup! And she won't even touch the other one lol
Strange kid, but it seems it was the only way!

I better get going, gotta clean up, shower and get dressed all within half an hour ....Superwoman! up up and away!

Melo
07-10-2006, 09:23
Morning all,
What a fun night we had!. Jacob woke up at 2 and spewed through all of his cot, so I pulled the sheet up and put him into bed with us thinking 'Oh there will be no more' and there was more spew and LOTS of it..

Hello all

Just wanting to check with all of you other sep 2005 mums - is it normal for the lil ones to be having tantrums at this age???

Tara has just started to really have massive crying fits if she's not allowed to do what she wants (eg if she wants to go outside and she's not allowed) - I usually just distract her (eg asking her where the teddy is or something!) and then she usually gets over it...but sometimes...nup...we get a real hissy fit!!

Am I the only one or is this normal 1 year old action?

Melo
07-10-2006, 10:33
Hi Sam,

No i've found DS to chuck a tanty when he doesnt get his own way. I either ingore it or give him something to distract him. Usually his tantys are over very small things like wanting my mobile phone or the TV remote.

I'm dreading the day that he decides to chuck one in the shop though!! :)

tyler's mum
07-10-2006, 10:34
welcome mum2tara

tyler is the queen of tantrums has been for months, i find that when i just walk away and dont give in to her she soon gets over it:rolleyes: i find if i yell at her or give her a little smack it just makes it worst

mum2tara
07-10-2006, 10:39
Hmm...the walking away strategy is probably not a bad one actually - I discovered yesterday that if I just went back into the kitchen and started cleaning up and getting on with things she pretty much got over it pretty quickly!

I think they're just at that age where they're trying to test us out a bit and see what works and what doesn't..hehehe...think it's just a matter of not always letting them get their way now or that could create some nasty habits down the track.

Thanks for the advice

Mum2Tara- Reuel doesn't throw any tanrums as yet:fingerscrossed: . But he will cry/sob if he doesn't get his way. I agree with Mel- be firm and stick your guns! Kids know how to try to manipulate!!

Erin- great work with cup idea. Reuel is REFUSING the sippy cup with milk in it. He will drink anything else out of a sippy cup but not milk!! So good work.

Lee- i'm not sure if i can make monday anymore. I'll try to let you know soon. I'm stressing out MAJORLY about full time work next term...and the only day i could arrange to meet with my team teacher (the other teacher on yr 3) was on Monday. I'll let you know when it's confirmed. So sorry.

Well Reuel is nearly there with his 'one arm out' wrapping. I can't wait till i don't have to wrap him anymore. He's doing well at night..but it's disturbed his day sleeps so much that he's waking after an hr or an 1.5 hrs. I figure i just need to be persistant and he'll get used to it. I think he struggles because he uses the free arm to push himself up and sit up in the cot and then can't get back down to go to sleep.

10 more sleeps till my first u/s...

Ok, I have left myself with $0! So, I don't think I will be able to go to lollypops. But, I suggest, either you are more than welcome at my house (I think I know you well enough- mind the mess) so maybe at park, or maybe we could even post-pone it for Friday? So sorry guys, should have budgeted a bit better! :shame:

We babysat the boys (my 2 nephews) this weekend. Good help me when Bailey gets old enough to run away.

I'll have to do personals later- my bro and SIL are here- can't ignore them forever. Talk later guys.

Hi everyone ,

How are we all today?

Lesha - Its good to hear about Reuel and his wrapping! He will get there :). Oooh and only 10 more sleeps to your U/S! How exciting! :smiliedance:

Not a lot is going on over here, Matt is at a mates house watching Bathurst, I will go over there once Jacob has woken up! Just haven a looksie on eBay for Cardmaking Supplies.

Hey Tam, our birthdays are coming up! Are you doing anything for it? I've told Matt that all I want is for him is to look after Jacob for the WHOLE day.. (Jacob and I are having iss-ewes at the moment, he wont go to Matt and will only cling to me - As much as I love him, I like going to the toilet in peace!! :p). So no changing nappies or making bottles for me!

Of course I will find something else that I like too!!

Erin- Lil looks so different from real life. She looks older in the photos, I remember her being real little and petite and quiet whenever I've seen her, but in the photos she looks like a mischeivious little one- like someone else I know!!!

Ok, nephews are gone.

Leesha- congrats on the wrapping. I know people that have had such a difficult time with wrapping and weaning and have decided not to wrap their 2nd. Are you going to wrap the 2nd? And can't wait to the u/s. Are you going to find out the sex?

Mel- are you going to find out the sex if you have another u/s? Did you find out with Jacob?

(Bailey's hanging off me, doing either stinky fluffs or poos)

Tam- glad everythings getting that little bit better. Are you doing anything for your birthday?

Well, better go and get din din ready (and see what the damage is in someone's nappy!)

Just a quick post and then off to church...

No, we prolly wont find out the sex of the baby at the u/s...have to wait till the 19 wk one anyways.

Am seriously considering not wrapping the second at all!!

Great picture Erin. Great cake too!!

Talk to you all tomorrow.

Mel- are you going to find out the sex if you have another u/s? Did you find out with Jacob?

We are wanting another U/S to find out, but i'm not too fussed either way. I'm nearly 100% certain its a boy :)! We did find out with Jacob, did you find out with Bailey?

SimplyMum
08-10-2006, 19:33
I did find out with Bailey. But I always said that if they said it was a girl I wouldn't tell anyone, if they said it was a boy than I would tell people (mind you I didn't tell this to anyone). The reason being is they can't always be 100% sure if it's a girl. My SIL found out and they told her 75% chance it's a girl. Well, being the first we all got heaps of pink for the babyshower and we had to try and take it ALL back when little modest JAYDEN was born!

Mum bought heaps of stuff for my sis baby today. It's so exciting. Best and Less have such goo bargains!

Leesha- have fun at church.

LilShenanigans
08-10-2006, 23:29
Question mums to be lol Do you have a feeling to either having a boy or girl? I kinda went crazy with my feeling of having a girl, very adament and very right! :p

Lill is definately mischevious!! She shys away when taken out of her comfort zone unfortunately, but slowly working it up. I think she's looking older recently too, after the 'big head' moment I got to thinking she may have just had a growth spurt?

On thought of tantrums, I'm dealing with them! She will act up when she climbs onto the couch and I have to put her back on the floor and Taking things off her she shouldn't have. Its mostly screaming, but she's learning how to get a good kick in...

The cupcakes on the cake were the best bit... nothing else really got eaten (besides a quick finger through the icing lol)

OH TAM! I am SO jealous!! If only Lill would sit still long enough lmao

I read something today in the paper about lactose intolerance in bubs... apparently it was suggested (researched, blah) to not cut out all dairy products, but only give a little (like peice of cheese with other stuff) or lower lactose things like yoghurt... I'm not too good at quoting lol
But I thought it was interesting and I understand it, I can't have too much dairy myself but a little bit is ok...
Just a thought.

Lastly, mel ... HA! I don't think I have a photo of myself lol Ugly thing it would be too... lol ...Ok, might try and find one and see what I can do lol

I don't feel too well. I'm glad we arn't doing anything today. I have a little but annoying headache and my stomach feels a little queezy almost like I'm going to be sick. My nephews were sick last week and over the weekend but my SIL said it was something they ate (as they were :barf: but no temp, no complaints of headaches or anything. I hope they weren't actually sick and now have given it to me.:(

We're supposed to be going to the Aquatic centre tomorrow. Thought it'd be fun for the boys- might see how I feel now.

Now that birthdays are over, anyone given any thought into what they're getting their bubs for Chrissi?

Anyway, probably be back on later. I don't think we'll be doing anything today (was going to meet playgroup down at the park but don't really feel up to it).

Oh Tam- I understand how you feel. I don't think we're ever happy. Bailey is the complete opposite- extreamly clingy at times. Both can be heartbreaking and annoying. Maybe Tyler is going to be extreamly independent. But don't worry, I'm sure she loves you more than her fav teddy, but it's like your Mum said; You're ALWAYS there, a permanant fixture. Like the sky- you can count on it being there when you get up in the morning.

Erin- your posts always make me laugh. The lactose intolerance stuff is so true. I think i'm a bit the same too....too much dairy makes me feel queezy. No inklings on the sex of bub no.2....but we did BD on the days u were supposed to-in order to have a girl!

Mel and Tam...what date are your b'days?

Tam- i know what u mean about our kids going to someone else. Reuel does it with me when there are males in the room. ANY male...doesn't matter who! The whole time at his party, he only wanted his dad...made me sad and a little embarrased. :hugs: to you though...i think your mum is right.

Lee- you always have such cool sayings and expressions. You are totally unpredictable. I am with you in the :barf: corner (expect mine is for a different reason)...i feel gross today! The only way to feel better is to be eating something every 30 mins.

Have a great day all...

Hehehe - there are some funny posts on this thread :yelclap: - it's very entertaining.

Thanks for all the advice on the tanties - Tara has been a bit better over the past few days anyway but when she does try and throw a big one I just wander off now and she usually gives up (after a lil while anyways!)..

I understand both sides of the clingy/not-clingy stories - when I leave Tara with my mum she waves bye-bye to me happily and doesn't seem to care at all that I'm leaving (bit of a blow to the self-esteem!) but sometimes she won't let me go into another room without having a crying fit! Who knows what goes through their little heads sometimes!

(Mostly she's a pretty chirpy lil thing though - don't wanna make it sounds like she's always throwing tanties and grizzling!)

I'm sure you will have a lovely time Tam! :)

Hey Lee, how is it going with Baileys eating and cutting out the Milk?

I've made the decision Jacobs milk intake is only going to be 720mLs a day! NO MORE. (Thats 3 x 240ml bottles). He is still spewing and I think its from the amount of milk he is having. I spoke to the CHN and she said the same and wasnt hardly concerned. Whenever he is whingy he is going to be offered Water in a bottle and thats it. God, I must sound like a mean mum but i'm over it!! He just spewed before when he was in his cot and I gave him a 120mL of bottle and he sculled it down. So I know he will drink it when he is thirsty.

Wish me luck :(

SimplyMum
10-10-2006, 06:56
Mel- I know what you mean. I feel a tad mean but it has to be done. He's getting used to it. There's so many times (especially at the moment with me being sick) where I've thought why don't I just give him the milk and then I'll at least have peace for 5min. I still don't think he drinks enough water but like you said, if he's thirsty he'll drink it. This is my schedule that I TRY and stick to (daycare uses it);

7am- 250mls milk (sometimes make a milkshake with fresh fruit and musli)
9am- snack; arrowroot bicci and water
11am-lunch, sandwhich with juice
2.30pm- afternoon tea. Dried fruit with water.
5.30pm- dinner. fish fingers/vegie sticks
6pm- 250mls milk.

He sometimes misses afternoon tea because he's napping. He napps after 9am snack and then usually around afternoon tea.

We're going to the aquatic centre today. I promised I'd go with my SIL- I was thinking of cancelling but I didn't want to break the promise. We will see how we go, even if we go for 2hrs.

I feel so ****.:gloomy:

Tam- sounds like you're going through the 'where's my man?' phase. This usually rears it's ugly head every so oftern with me. I usually get pretty upset and sorry for myself, you know the whole 'no-body loves me, every-body hates me, think I might just go eat some worms' (ok, a bit extreame). Don't worry, youre intitled to feel like this. We're allowed to have selfish moments, but don't let it get you too much.:hugs:

Morning all..

Mel- I don't think you're a mean mother. What you're going through is what comes with the parenting life. I'm guessing Jacob is drinking more milk because he's not eating the solids? If i remember correctly you were giving him cows milk? I'd say that cows milk isn't meant to be drunk in such large quantities and as the sole part of a diet. Thats why Jacob is chucking so much.:hugs: To you. Would you like to know my suggestions? Don't wanna make you listen to them. Be strong though Mel, you're doing the right thing with the water!

Tam- have a great weekend away. How awesome of your sister to do that for you. Do you know where you're going?

Lee- so sorry to hear that your feeling :gloomy: .Hope you feel better soon. Your day cares routine looks great. You're doing well.

Well i think reuel is extending his wake times again...just when i think i have it down pat. (well it's that or he's struggling still with one arm out). I was wondering how long other Sept. kids are staying awake for before they need to go to bed. Reuel is doing about 3 hrs from 7-10 and then about 3.5 from about 11.30ish-2.30ish and then 4 hrs from about 4.00 till 8pm. It's driving me insane having him awake still at 8pm!!! So does 3 hrs sound about right to everyone? Should i be going for one sleep a day?

I have just started giving Reuel his bottles AFTER meals. It's working well...he takes less milk and more food. He has REFUSED the sippy cup with milk so i'm not going there again...i've had jack of trying to get him to drink from it. However, i have taught him to hold his own bottle- so i don't have to hold his bottle and try to feed bub2 at the same time. Reuel is having no more than 600mls of milk all day. We're still on toddler formula as i think he's reacting to the cows milk..but we'll see in 2 weeks- thats when DH and i have decided to make the slow transition to full cream cows milk.

Reuel's routine looks something like this:

7am- wake- One of these: cereal, spag, baked beans, eggs, porridge.
Toast
Water
Milk 150mls- 200mls.

10am-11.30 bed.

11.30- wake- Arrowroot biscuit (or cruskit).
water.
possibly fruit.

12.30ish- Lunch- 1 jar of baby food.
1 piece of meat (ie. sausage, chicken pattie, rissole, chicken thigh fillet, meat balls, fish fingers, etc.)
Milk 150mls- 200mls.

2.45-4.15 Bed.

4.15- Wake - Fruit pieces and custard.
Arrowroot biscuit or cruskit.
Water.

6.30- Dinner- 1 jar of baby food.
1 piece of meat (ie. sausage, chicken pattie, rissole, chicken thigh fillet, meat balls, fish fingers, etc.)
Some of his milk 150mls- 200mls.

Bed- 7.30- rest of his milk.

Sorry to :ecomcity: ...hopefully that helps somebody!

The boy is finally alseep..i'm off to have a shower.

Talk to you all later.

Mrs Little & Son.

Thanks everyone - Leesha of course I always want your suggestions :D.

Our routine is always so out of whack because we get up so late :o. But i'm defiantly taking your suggestions on board :D. What milk is everyones bubs on? I'm thinking about changing him back to Formula (Not sure what one) to give his stomach a rest and then in a few months try and wean him again. Does this sound good yeah? He spewed at 2am this morning, but its because he has a really dry cough and you know when you cough and cant stop? The poor mite.

Jacob prefers to hold his own bottles, thank god. Except for the night bottle where he like to cuddle.

Matts now come down with the flu, but i'm keeping my-self & Jacob away from him because its pretty nasty and I dont want it!

Well I might go down to the daycare and see my mum this morning, so Jacob can have a play with the kids and tire him self out.

Wow Tam, that looks so awsome. You are going to have an absolute ball, as will Tyler. You are so lucky to have a caring sis like that. I need one of those sisters- where do you get them from?

Leesha- Wow, 3hrs awake time? That's a long time. Bailey is usually 2-2.5hrs awake. I wonder if you could do one big sleep instead of 2 smaller ones? My nephew has one big sleep but I have no idea how you would go about the transition, how do you explain to a 1yr old that from now on, you're going to have 1 big sleep!

Bailey does hold his own bottles and has for some time. I too, was getting sick of holding it for him. He is now drinking out of straws! It was really quite easy to teach him- It took all of 1 show and he was fine.

Mel- you obvisouly did not like the glucose test, my sis has it on the 14th of next month. I didn't find it too bad. I didn't like having to drink it in suchh a short amount of time, but other than that I just thought it tasted like lemonade.

Went to the Aquatic Centre- the kids had an absolute ball. I took Bailey's lunch and my sis and I shared hot chips. All up the day costed us about $25 incl. petrol. I was so happy with that, a fairly cheap day out, and all the kids had a blast. Bailey loved crawling in the wading pool and didn't mind the whirl pool.

I've just caught up, and this could be long as I had to open Word to make notes!! lol Next time, just shuddup would ya! lol
(Oh and now I'm lost with who wrote what...sort of)

Tam! Kiama! lol Can I borrow your sister?? I'll do a fair trade, one sis for the other... I'm getting sick of mine anyway lol
But Kiama is gorgeous, never stayed there but always stopped for lunch or the touristy thing enroute to Ulladulla. You will all have a ball!
Man/Men (don't technically exist, they are boys for life...), don't stress (easier said then done), they so aren't worth the time right now... Tyler is the centre of the earth and if you ever find yourself missing someone to talk to or share stuff with, join a dating site and remain adament your just there to chat to people. Before long you'll asked many times the questions "Wanna meet up?" " Wanna come over?" "Can you get a babysitter tonight?" or more direct "I'm not looking for a relationship, I just want something to fill in time" OH How Loverly!
Enjoy alone time in front of the TV!! lmao
(And no, I'm not cynical, negative or ruined at all  )lol

Weight loss - I'm failing miserably! And you were the one worried you couldn't do it! See, stronger then you ever imagined! Fantastic work and will keep cheering for ya!

Now, onto Routines... hehe No such thing in this house. Somedays I want one, try to have one and it always flies out the window.
I generally have the big things down to set times though, meals, sleeps, bathing and bedtime... everything else inbetween is grey matter.
As for napping, Lill doesn't do enough. She won't take a nap at a moderate middle of the day time, she waits til mid afternoon to let me know she's ready. Unfortunately, it tends to also be a short nap and I don't really understand how she can still be so concious all day without more sleep!

She's currently on cows milk, although still watered down a bit (sometimes more one day, sometimes less another). She hasn't had any problems (since actually starting to drink it), so I think I'll stick with it.
She also has a small rotation of juice and water through out the day, but sometimes doesn't want water from her cup, so I give her the poppy top bottle thing?

Oh and I found out the other day she can drink REALLY well out of a straw! lol I was craving a milkshake and just had to go get one. Heading back to the car I was juggling everything getting the keys, I look at Lill and she's slurping away at my milkshake!!!! lol
I laughed but was a bit annoyed and it was a huge craving I had lol
Lucky she didn't get it all as it may have been weird going back a few minutes later to buy another :o

Last of the catch up. I found nothing wrong with the glucose test, I think every place has different types from what I hear about it? Mine tasted like solo, so wasn't bad at all. I unfortunately failed the test and did all those blood tests afterwards to tell me I'M FINE

Now, I want to tell you all about what happened yesterday (then of course today)..

Had a shocker of a day.
Got my phone bill, nearly died.
Got my electricity bill, nearly threw up.
Had a guy come around from AGL saying there was an overdue bill?? And disconnected the gas!
Apparently the last tenant didn’t pay their bill or even think to get it disconnected!!
And nobody had the thought to tell me AGL was the only supplier for this little area!!

I was beyond manic yesterday, I could’ve strangled someone if they even looked at me the wrong way!

FORTUNATELY, today I’ve asked a dear dear friend to help me with the phone bill, I’ve postponed the due date on the electricity bill and also sorted out arrangements with them. AND I called AGL told them I am signing up, they fobbed off the connection fee and late fees – Thank god because I wasn’t going to pay for either after yesterday!!!

Little calmer today lol

And Guess What!!!...

...The End :smiliedance:

SimplyMum

I just got a phone call saying i've won a gift voucher for some Glamour Photogrpahy :smiliedance:. Except I had to give my credit card number and she charged it $45?. Ahh well, she was going on about getting Demi Moore nude shots, ppppppppppft I DONT THINK SO!

Very cute photos Tam! I'll be back later to do personals after I finish this ****.

Tam- she is so cute! Is that her playroom? Honestly, instead of all the expensive toys, we'd be better off buying them a broom and a keyboard!
Why do we kill our bank accounts buying all these expensive toys that inhance their gross-motor skills and teach them how to say hello in five different languages! But, I love it!:p

Hello to all and thanks for the welcome!

Mum2Tara- Archie also has learnt to throw a tantrum lately, if he has anything that I want- like the cordless phone!, he cries and lies on the floor- I walk off and next thing he has shrugged his shoulders(so to speak)! and gone onto something else! Good luck!

Miss Little- Good luck for your u/s!

tylersmum - great weight loss! I am also trying, what is the secret??

A quick question - Arch is not into bread at all- throws it over the side, so no sandwiches yet which is sooooo frustrating and hard, also biscuits not really interested in yet either.........

Hope all are well today,

Heya Everyone..

just popping in quickly. Reuel is still alseep...? I gave him some dymadon before he went down because he had MAJOR issues eating his lunch and he's whinging ALL day. It's so unlike him. I think his 8th tooth is coming in. And those molars!!!! They're driving me nuts. They just wont come through and Reuel's constantly dealing with the pain of them moving up and down. Anyone else got them yet?

Opp...he's awake!

Best be going..

Hope the test went well today Mel. Sure, go ahead and change your user name. I agree with Tam- it will be a bit strange- but we'll get used to it.

Cute pictures Tam.

Will be back on tonight when the boy is asleep to catch up with you all.

I second that Mel- it'll be strange, but hey, I'm already getting used to it!

Leesha- poor little thing. The molars must be so painful. I am definatley not looking forward to them- I'm sure he wont need them. Maybe I can persuade them to just stay away from Master Bailey! Bailey's just got is 7th tooth through. His left eye tooth. Only another 18 or so to go!

Going to visit my Papa tomorrow at Engadine! Then going to the beach and taking my sis, Bailey and my 22month old nephew, Ryan with us. Should be fun.

Archmum- mmm.....have you tried toast, just butter, jam, honey, vegemite.....maybe you could try sao's or leboneese bread or fagita bread? Hope something comes up.

Bailey bit the his teacher today! I shouldn't laugh but  . Appartantly he wanted to be picked up. I think this is a problem that I've created. How can I fix tis without letting him go hysterical? If I don't pick him up then it's gonna break his little heart. :(

Ok, I think I'm on top of everything and much calmer now...
The only thing I have to worry about right now are bills, but it's much easier to pay back family then pay many late fees to a company. I hate borrowing money off anyone, but dad has pointed out that it would be rude for him or my sister to charge me a late fee or interest lol

I did have some good news inbetween all this mess. Well kind of. Freak accident I suppose that I came across an online advert asking for someone 'artistic', figured why not ask a few questions. Apparently, they needed someone who can paint on glass (me to a tee!), who was interested in a bit of a business venture (why not?)... so, I met with one of the guys today who showed me the kind of things they were working on, and I may be able to turn a hobby into a bit of a job.
It's still very early days, but should it be up and running (early next year at the latest) I'm going to ask you all to spread the word or even buy something lol

So yay me, I wish I could say more, but can't lol

Mel - would've been good to change your name a while ago, would've saved me sometime trying to match the kids names in titles to the mums names lol Hey, even I can be blamed for being confusing.
I think it's good, will be odd at first but thats normal with any nick change.

Last time you girls were talking about teeth coming through, Lill had two pop up about a week later. Are you jinxing me?? Will this be my hell for next week!? lol
Speaking of teeth, but mine to be exact. I have a wisdom tooth coming through, but no pain... It's already cut through.
So I'm just impressed with myself for that one lol Was always worried about Wisdoms after watching my parents & sis go through sheer agony of getting them :o

Archmum - Lill was/is the same, won't go for sandwiches, but I'm getting her used to toast. She actually ate 2 and half (one peice of toast cut into fours) with vegemite on it today :D
I agree with Lee, maybe something like lebanese bread? He can tear it up at will and try bits here and there.
I found Lill loves attacking burritos (usually while there full and I'm trying to eat dinner lol)...

Well, before I go have a really late hot shower, I think something needs to be said for Baileys behaviour today...

Can't help with the 'don't break his heart thing', it's tough love, I can't do it... but if Lills has her arms up waiting for me, sometimes I try to distract her - tap her hands, poke her nose lol or the hand a few centimeters away from the face saying "I'm not touching you, I'm not touching you...." lol She giggles at that one ...

Erin- I love the fact that you stay up late and post late because when I come on in the morning (when I get up early- damn early sunrise), Spetember is listed in the Birth groups and I don't have to go through the whole shibang to get here! Less time fiddling, more time posting! :D

It's supposed to be 31c today! We are going to the beach! I hope everyone either has there air-con on or heads to a house who does!

Erin- that sounds great about the painting. Is that stain glass or is that something different. If it is, my mum LOVES stain glass paintings so I will definately have to buy one. That's great Erin- can you post a pic?

Better go and get ready.

Erin ~ Thats good to hear that you've sorted out your money worries! I agree with your dad, loaning money off your family would probably be much easier then paying late! :). The new 'hobby / job' prospect sounds great! At least it's something you like doing!

Leesha ~ How is Reuel now? I wouldn't have a clue if Jacob has his molars yet, because he wont let me in there to have a looksie!

Archmum ~ Have you tried just a plain piece of bread? Jacob loves bread with a small amount of Butter on it. Eats it no worries, if I put Vegemite on it I find he will just lick it off and not touch the bread!

Lee ~ Have a FANTASTIC day at the beach, i'm SO jealous! I wish we lived closer to the beach *sigh*. One day :p. And  too about Bailey, ohh dddear!! I cant help but resist to pick up Jacob aswell, which is going to be tricky when i've got a newborn!

Tam ~ As I said before, but need to say it again those photos of Tyler are SO cute!! I need to get Jacob a little broom, because he loves the one at Daycare! Last night there was a Cockroach in the bathroom while he was having a shower so I started hitting it with the Dustpan brush, until it was well and truley dead! Then I got him out and dried him, dressed him and let him go and play. Only to find he had got the brush from the bathroom and was trying to kill a Cricket! (Yes, he had copied me and was hitting it). Oh dear.

I hope I havent forgotten anyone...

Best be off!

Wow Tam, that's awsome. a 68cm TV- it's like the 'Cinemas at Tam's house'! Do you charge? I think from now on we'll come over to 'Cinema's at Tam's house' with our popcorn and pop tops and watch 'Finding Nemo'.
We don't even have a 68cm TV in our loungeroom. Our 48cm TV blew up so we borrowed my sis 34cm!! We definatley don't watch as much Tv as we used to!

Had awsome day at the beach. Will tell more later and post pics, must go because I'm clogging up the room in which my nephew is supposed to be going to sleep in right now. Night all.

Melo

34cms Lee?  !!! Oh my goodness! I'd need glasses.Just jokes. We went out and spoiled our selves last year waiting for Jacob to come, and got a 107cm Plasma. The best thing i've EVER brought! (And NO thats not where the baby bonus didnt go! It went on all the bills and accommodation we racked up being away from home for 6 weeks :p).

Glad to hear that the beach was good Lee, i'm still jealous!

Evening Everyone.

Wow..so much going on in here nowadays. I don't think i'll ever catch up.

Melo- :) great name change...you should have made it Mellow. I don't think Reuel's molars have settled yet and none of them have reared their ugly head yet! But his eight tooth is through. Is the next lot of teeth the eye teeth- the sharp pointy ones?

How are you going preparing for bub no.2? Have you set up a room for him/her? Bought any clothes? Any inklings about the sex? Oh, and...what are u studying Mel? (Sorry if you've already told me- i'm a bit slow at the moment).

Lee- LMAO!! A 34cm tv...do they make them that small!!! I think ours is a 54cm. My eye sight is not good- i have to squint to watch ours.

Glad your day was good- it was nice and hot. Can't wait to see pictures. Did u end up signing Bailey up to swimming classes elsewhere? How's your study going? How much longer do u have of your degree?

That's MAJORLY funny about Bailey biting someone because he wanted their attention.

Tam- Great pictures of Tyler and the broom. She is such a character- she must keep you amused all day long! Thats soooo cool to hear about the new TV too. You deserve it. I hope you have a great weekend away too- nice and relaxing. I love getting new underwear and bras...makes you feel like brand new. What colour are they?..:o Oh, and good work on the weight loss. Glad we can join you on your journey!

Erin- wow. Sounds like things are moving right along for you. You always seem to be able to lift yourself up after a knock down- good on you. You have a great spirit about you. I hope that this new job prospect works out for you. Keep us posted.

Well, my news- On Monday i go back to work full time for 8 weeks. Then xmas school holidays till late Jan. It's going to be hard (emotionally) to not be able to be home with Reuel like i'm used to being. But it wont be long till i'm home again- early April. Plus- he'll enjoy being home with daddy- long as daddy enjoys being home with him.

The m.s. is still lingering around- same time each day- about 1pm and 5.30pm for half an hr. I try to eat something and lie down and then it goes away.

6 more sleeps till my u/s!

Hope everyone is well.

Good Morning Girlies!

What a glorious morning! Sun shining, humidity rising and I'm heading to the air-con plaza!

Gee, it's a little quiet in here.

Tam- Tyler does sound like a happy baby. I've been really worried lately, I don't think Bailey is a very happy little man! What's your secret? Why isn't my little man appy, he's always whinging, and I'm a fairly happy person. He whinges in the bath, he whinges when I'm not playing with him, he whinges when e wants to be picked up. If he's outside, he wants to be inside, if he's inside he wants to be outside!

Well, I'm going to go down to the plaza to help Mum pick up some Christmas bargains and then I'm coming home to jump in the pool with Bailey (hopefully we wont be whinging!)

Catch you all alter- hope you have a fantastic weekend.

Morning all!

Lesha ~ We are getting there preparing for #2. Well the spare bedroom is still full of boxes waiting to be un-packed! But I'm not really in any great rush as bubs will be in our room for the first few weeks. Well I'm nearly certain its a boy, so I've still got all of Jacobs clothes that I've kept and I'll just give them a wash in a couple of weeks. I went through them the other day and was getting all clucky! Its hard to believe we are going to have another little person around.
I'm 30 weeks this coming Wednesday :smiliedance::eek: (ALREADY!!) Only 10 to go!! This is defiantly my last baby, I don't think I could handle being pregnant for a 3rd time!

What day this week is your scan? I bet you and Rohan are very excited getting to see your little Bambino :).

I'm studying my Diploma of Children's Services. Its not too much of a bad course, very boring though!

Matt's on his 4 day break this weekend, and I find it SO hard to get on the Computer when he is home lol, but hopefully I will pop in sometime before Tuesday! I've got a morning full of cleaning ahead of me, oh what joy!! :p

Have a great weekend ladies!

Lee - I forgot to write in my post before, but Jacob is very whingy also!! If he see me sitting on the computer thats it. He cracks it and wants to be picked up! Matt & I are both at our wits ends with the whinging! It makes me to *****y because there is NOTHING wrong with him! Although today he has been fantastic and only whingy when he was tired.. So I can't complain much there.. Maybe its a boy thing? Is Reuel whingy Leesha?

Went and did our shopping before and I brought Jacob some of the Toddler Heinz Formula. So :fingerscrossed: he likes it. I brought him the Vanilla flavoured formula last weekend but i'm using that as more of a 'treat' because its so sweet!

SimplyMum
15-10-2006, 06:55
Mel- that makes me feel a little better. I don't want to look back and remember Bailey as a whingy toddler. Oh well, can't worry about it now.

I went out for my friends birthday last night. We went to a barbie at their house and then the RSL club. I suppose I shouldn't complain about Bailey's whinging when my friend is SO much worse. She's ALWAYS complaining about something. Last night it was that another friend couldn't/wouldn't come out, Caroline was flirting with her DH as they were playing pokies and also that she was drinking too much. As well as at the BBQ she was bi***ing about people that were IN THE NEXT ROOM! I mean couldn't she wait until they had at least left before she starts bagging them out. IT makes me wonder what she says about me.

Today I ahve to go and visit Bailey's godfather's family. It's always one of those things you kind of dread doing. Like going to see your Nan or something. But it's gotta be done sometime. They really are very nice people but given the choice I would just prefer to laze about at home- there's soo much stuff that needs doing, washing, cleaning up Bailey's toys. Washing is sheets, cleaning my room.

I'll speak to you lovely ladies later.

Grrr, I'm going to dread summer and you probably won't see me for 3 months! lol
I haven't been around really in the past two days because it's been so damn hot, the upstairs turns into a boiler and I've even been dreading going to the loo because I end up in a puddle of my own sweat ... Suppose, may as well go to the loo otherwise I'd end up in a different puddle.
...Could be a good sauner?? lol

So utterly bored right now with lots of chores to do. :D

I haven't anything to add... just killing time while Lill has a nap.
She can now climb onto the couch all by herself, and thankfully can get down safely. I had to do a big clean up of my coffee table as she can now get around to the table and push everything off.

Might go make a late lunch...

No, I am very close with Bailey's god father. But when you take on Brent (Bailey's god father), you take on the whole family. Bailey has gone from having 1 nan to 4 nan's, 1 pop to 2 pops, 2 Auntys to 4 Auntys. Today, we were visiting Nanna Bess and Aunty Pat. Nanny Leanne came round, Nanna Vi and Pop, Mary and Chelsea and Emily. One after the other.

Tam- Tyler's godfather is fairly good looking but doesn't it always work out that for some reason or the other the good looking ones are always out of bounds!

Evening ladies..i'm here!

Just a quick note and then off to bed...I'M BUGGERED!

Hope you're doing well Tam. Been and done the 'taking 4 wisdom teeth out' ! Not nice at all...you can't eat anything but soup and eggs!

Mel- SOOOOOO glad to hear about the formula. I couldn't reccommend Heinz any higher. Also really glad to hear about Jacobs eating...good on you Mel.

Lee- you crack me up...how do u get the energy to be so busy and so on the go and then do TAFE too and want a distinction. My motto at uni- 'P's mean degrees!!' Good on you though for that mark...thats awesome.

:barf: Has hit me. It's awful...constantly just want to either vomit or make it go away! Always eating otherwise it seems to get worse. So i've been eating LOADS of dry biscuits. Work is horrible... the workplace and people have really gone down hill since i was there last. Can't wait tell them in 6 weeks that i'm leaving and then not coming back!

Got my u/s tomorrow.....so excited!!!

Leesha- your leaving for good? How come? Wat do you plan on doing afterwards? It must be a great feeling to be able to say that. My mum works at Concord at Westpac and they're pushing er so hard that she woks 10hr days 6 days a week and sometimes comes home in a horrible mood. I wish she would leave. She's hoping she gets retrenched. Me too!

Mel- Feeding couldn't be going better actually. I cooked fried rice in Sweet and Sour Sauce on Monday night, he had speg bol with large spirals last night and pretty much ate it all both nights. I was so impressed. I think it might have been just a matter of me finding something inticing. Oh, an I too couldn't reccomend Hienz toddler formula hig enough either- Bailey has it and I think it's great.
I'm also making smoothies with fresh fruit for him in the morning. This morning I made a mango smoothie, and I've got rockmelon in there to try.

Tam- Our CHN just got her 4 wisdom teeth out and after 1 1/2 weeks off, she came back yesterday. All bruised and a little swollen. But other than that, she looked great for just having her wisdom teeth out. don't worry, the worst part is over.

Well, Bailey is crying so I had better go.

Well as I speak (write) Bailey is chucking a really good tantrum. He's going to town on this one. And I am NOT giving in! What does everyone do? Put them in their cot? Ignore them (a little bit hard when he is hanging on to my thigh and screaming in my ear!)? Naughty corner (I really don't think this would work!)? Into the playpen with no toys? Ok, he's going red, he's doing that really awful scream where it comes from deep below like he's crying from he's throat or something. :banghead:

He's spit (slaiva) is gurgling in his throat now. Gee, tantrums REALLY work. I'm almost crying myself.:crying: Now, he's looking at me with his big brown eyes saying Mummy, please pick me up. He's crawling round in circles not knowing what to do. Oh, my baby. I don't know if I can take much more of this!

Melo

Aw hugs to you Lee! I usually ingore Jacob until he gets the best of me . What is he chucking a tanty about? Wanting to be picked up?

18-10-2006, 15:50
Oh BTW I had a quick geez at your site this morning, one word to describe it - GORGEOUS!!! I know what you mean about those big brown eyes lol. Too hard to resist :).

Feeding is going pretty well today for us too, he has his last Formula bottle at 9pm last night and then ate a fair amount of his toast for breakfast and then I took him down to Daycare where he had 2 Fish fingers with sauce and a Biscuit. Mum said he was trying to lick the bowl to get more sauce lol. And he had another Formula bottle at 12:30pm for sleep time. Its just about 3pm and he is STILL sleeping :smiliedance:. He slept for 3 hours yesterday arvo ! I had one very happy boy when he woke up!

Lesha - Goodluck with your U/S this arvo! Are you still coming over to Perth at the end of the year?

SimplyMum
19-10-2006, 06:33
Leesha- how did the u/s go? I bet you were excited. Did Reuel get to meet his little brother or sister? What are you going to do in regards to Reuel? Are you going to buy him a little doll? Do you think he'll understand if you try telling him he'll have a friend to play with soon?

Mel- He was chucking a tanty about wanting my juice and then wanting to be picked up. In the end he did get the better of me, but we compromised, I sat on the floor and gave him a hug. This morning while eating breaki he decided to start up again. He was in his higchair and I had given him his smoothie plus some toast. He drank all his smoothie and wanted more, but he wasn't getting more. So I just gave him some water and walked away- he cried for about 5min and then decided he may as well eat his toast. A much more successful one today.:smiliedance:

Tam- how's your teeth? I would pop round but I can't say visitors would be the first thing on my mind after having 4 wisdom teeth out. I hope your feeling ok.

Must go and get ready- speak to you all later.

Melo
19-10-2006, 09:05
Oh thats good that Bailey eventually stopped Lee!

Tam - I hope your okay and that your better for your birthday!

I'm getting a massage for my birthday tomorrow YAY! I'm so excited, its just a head and shoulder massage which should be loveeeeeeeeely!

I've got Mothers Group here today, they rang me at around ten to 9 last night to tell me that they are coming across from Tom Price... Which is great and so nice that they are coming the 160km round trip for me but some warning would of been nice!

I need to nip down to the bakery to get a cake, but Jacobs still sleeping! Always the way.

He had Fish fingers again for dinnner last night (Because I know he will eat them lol) and he sat in the high chair for over an HOUR! Eating and then licking the sauce. I'm so proud of my little man :).

Hey Mel- looks like it's just you and me here. Where is everyone?

I have made two seperate dinners that Bailey has LOVED! Just in case you want to give them a try.

Fried Rice- I put all kinds of vegies in it (lots of colour I thought was the go!) and stirred through Sweet n Sour Sauce for flavour.

Resoti (I think)- I grated a potato and some cheese and stirred them through and grabbed a whole lump, put them into the frypan with some oil and squished them with a spatula. I turned them over when they were golden brown and then let them drain on some napkins. I then stirred Kraft creame cheese together with shallots, little bit of tomato suace and spread it over the potato. Of course, you can make it to Jacobs liking. I'm also going to try and make pizza from scratch.

Bailey loved both. I have also taken out his dinner bottle, so he is now on just 1 bottle a day. And I make tat up as a smoothie with fresh fruit blended in.

It annoys me when people don't give me notice that they're coming round. I don't have time to clean up and remove all traces of 'bad messy mummy'.

This morning went really well, actually reminded me how much I miss Tom Price and the interaction with the Mums. :(.

Jacob was like WHOA when all these babies came inside lol!

Thanks for the meal suggestions i'll defiantly be giving it a go.

Mel- Are you going to find a new mums group or are you going to travel the 160kms round trip back to Tom Price every week? I would miss my playgroup and the friends I've made by going there. Although I only see them once a week, I've almost become closer to them than my other friends (especially ones who don't have kids).

Bailey's got his photos today. I know this is strange but I'm really nervous. I don't know why, I just want them to turn out.

I got one of my exams back last night- I was so angry with myself:mad: . I did the most stupiest mistakes and if I had just paid attention to what I was doing I would have got full marks.

One of my friends from school has gastro and now my tummy feels real sore. I hope she hasn't given it to me.

Melo
20-10-2006, 09:27
Lee - I'm not sure! Because I grew up in Para (Where we are now) I know most of the people and it would be strange, but I wont be driving to Tom Price every week. Jacob gets to have some interaction with the babies down at Daycare.

Oh I hope his photos turn out :D! I'm sure they will look fantastic!

:hugs: about your exam marks, at least you know where you went wrong! What are you studying again?

Lordy, i'm SO tired! Jacob decided 4am was PLAY TIME! So I brought him into bed with us and he was talking and kept getting off the bed, would walk to the door but it was way to dark for his liking so hed run back again. Matt got up to ten to 5, so they gave me my card - Jacob had scribbled in it! It was SO cute! And Matt gave me a huge pile of Scratchies and i'll buy something next weekend in Karratha. Anyways, Jacob didnt go back to sleep until after 6 although I was dozing the whole time lol. I'm getting a head and shoulder massage today so no doubt i'll fall asleep :p.

happybirthday Tam for tomorrow.

Hope you guys have a good day. Hopefully both Tyler and Jacob will have a 'good' day for Mummy- is there a better present out there?

Bailey's photos didn't go too well. I think the flies were annoying him, I don't think I got 1 photo with a smile in it. I was so upset, angry and embarrassed! I know this sounds like bad mummy but I felt like smacking him, but I knew that wouldn't solve anything, only make him cry more. I just wanted those photos to be perfect. :( Maybe I'm a bit emotional at the moment.

I'm studying Accounting Cert III. Cert IV next year and then I'm going to look at going to UNI after that.

Oh yeah, Tam- I'm glad your feeling a little better- I hope it speeds along for you? Is you parents/sis helping with looking after Tyler while you are on the mend?

Before I forget or disappear,

happybirthday Girls! Have as much fun as possible!!

I keep running away don't I??

Well, had the threat of teething but seems to have passed, so lucky me.
Unfortunately have been woken up a LOT during the night, Lill just can't seem to sleep properly.

Figured last night was the same old routine, was heading to bed so thought I'd go get her. Saw a few marks on the bed didn't quite know what they were, decided to turn the light on.
They were all a very light brown, until I saw the 'freshest' mark which was red... Yay, blood from somewhere I have NFI where!

I pulled her out of bed, and let her wander... Mummy needed all strength to get her brain to work lol
I decided to call my sister as I didn't feel bad if I woke her up, she was still awake thankfully.
Told me to try and call dad, no answer.
I tried checking Lills mouth and couldn't see anything, called my sister and told her I was going to wait a while and see if she did it again.

While waiting I've been getting over the shock and just telling myself she's bitten something. The sheets didn't look too bad but changed them. Once I got the sheets off I saw the mattress which was worse!!!!! So great I freak out again lol

About an hour later, I'm dog tired, crawled into bed, Lill doesn't want to sleep. My sister called, and I told her I'm just going to leave it as it doesn't seem to be a problem for Lill.

Unfortunately, lill doesn't want to sleep. She decides it'd be more fun to have a fight with the cat - I don't know who won, but they both moved away from eachother.
I think it was possibly about 4.30 when Lill thought she was tired enough to sleep sideways, head digging into my ribs, whilst lying across my arm. Not Comfortable!!

Oh and she thinks it's a lark to wait me at 7.30am by the 3 Ps -poking, prodding and pulling my hair.

I'm happy (albeit majorly grumpy today in general) to say that I did find a mark on her tongue this morning. Lil bugger bit her tongue!

Anyone want a small child? Free of charge? lol

Actually, have found out that Lill is quite happy at my grandmothers, and didn't miss me for the whole half hour I was gone.
I really need to get someone to babysit, I'm going mental! lol

Is anyone still nighttime feeding at all??? I dont know how to get Lill to sleep without a feed. It's happened once when she refused to nap during the day... she fell asleep mid dinner.
Tips anyone? lol

Otherwise not a lot happening round here, slightly busy personally. Or just lazy. lol

I know there's stuff I wanted to respond to, but the brains gone. Cya, hoorooo squishy thing....

I think I'm going to try and nap...

SimplyMum
21-10-2006, 06:40
Erin- Poor Lil. And she obvisouly didn't even cry when she hurt herself. What a tough cookie. But how scary to find blood in her cot and not know where it came from.
No, I don't want another child, 1 is definatley enough at the moment (sorry Mel and Leesha- I don't know how you do it beig pregnant let alone a whole another child!)
And no, I am not night-time feeding. You are? I've heard from some Mummy's at playgroup that it can last up until 18months- I'm not really sure how you would go about cutting out the nigt time feed. Maybe just put the dummy back in?

I'm going to a Parent Education class today. My sis (5 1/2 months pregnant) has to go and her partner is working (mind you I would have thought he couldv'e taken the day off just this once but hey, none of my business), so my sis, me and mum are going. I have to leave half way through though because I have a softball game. I can't wait to play again, I've kinda missed it. And the perfect day for it- not too hot but not raining (yet :fingerscrossed: )

Tam- I'm glad your Mum and Dad are helping- makes a big difference. Arn't we lucky that us singledoms get blessed with close range supportive familys- I don't know what I would do if I didn't have my family.

I had a foot, head and shoulder massage. A facial, eye lash tint and an eye brow wax and I felt like a new woman! We went out for dinner with my parents and Jacob. It was horrible (Food was FANTASTIC) but Jacob was SO naughty, I now realise why we dont go out for dinner that often with him :p.

He is losing his voice, well actually its just about gone the poor mite. Its one thing after another at the moment!

Tam- sounds like you had such a fantastic day (well as good as can be expected, given the circumstances). Glad it was good, and Tyler, gee whiz, she's either extreamly creative and a very skilled seamstress and as recently got a well paying job. Love it.

Leesha- good to see you again.

I went out on a Hens night last night. Gee did I feel out of place. We went to a nightclub in Penrith called the block (lots of r&b and techno music), I wore a skirt down to my knees, stockings and boots up to my knees, with a top that was a tad see through but flowed over my skirt. For me, this was a little out there with the top being a little see through but you could only see my belly (not too riskea). The girls at the club were all ages about 18-19 and were all wearing short shorts and mini skirts. I felt very out of place. But all in all it was a reasonable night.

Better go and help with my nepews.

Hiya All...

So much has gone on. Thought i'd come on now (the boy is asleep for the night and Rohan is at church).

:barf: has kicked in BIG TIME. No actual barfing, but constantly feeling like i need to and it just wont come up. It's the worst feeling when u have a class of 28- 9yr olds in front of you. I have a stash of dry biscuits in my desk that i shove in my mouth and munch on when i feel the barfing urg coming on.

Lee- you certainly know how to keep yourself busy. I think i'd feel out of place at something like that too! Good on you for giving it a go though. How'd your game go today?

Tam- glad to hear you're feeling better. When do u get to away for the weekend? So glad you have a supportive family to help you in times like these. WOW- your own bed for a few days...must be nice. Enjoy it. Are u still doing the diet thing or is the diet whatever u can get in your mouth? I ate a lot of scrambled eggs with cheese in them when i had my wisdom teeth out.

Erin- hope Lills teeth come through soon...they can be a pain in the backside for weeks...especially those molars. Reuel's have FINALLY started to come through. He got his first molar on the bottom right hand side just last week- and sleep has gone back to normal- thank goodness. You could try looking for some home daycare places where u could send Lill. I think there is a web site that you can go to- then you can look into it. (If you're still looking for babysitter ideas).

Mel- i was just thinking this morning 'I'm counting up the weeks till i hit the 12 week mark- and Mel is counting down the weeks till she meets her bub 2.' I'm 8 weeks on wednesday...can u believe it! It's gone so fast. Had my 1st u/s on wed. last week....it was so awesome to hear the heart beat. Have my next mini ultrasound at 12 weeks and then the big one at 18/19 weeks. Glad to hear about Jacob's formula and eating...is it still going well? How are things going for you and the last few months of pregnancy?

Oh..and yes Mel we're are still coming to Perth in Dec. We fly in on the 17th of Dec. We'll have to PM each other with contact details or something. Rohan and i are actually considering a permenant move to Perth at the end of next year!

Well i'm off to try and make it through another week at school...i will be away next weekend (Church camp) so hopefully i'll be back sometime during the week next week.

Have a great week girls!

Tam- How are you feeling? Tyler is going to look sooo cute in her swimming cossies.

Mel- 31 weeks? Wow, you're on the home stretch now. Any inclination on what it is? Have you made final decisions on names? How arde you going with the nursery, have you got the room all ready? Were you early, on-time or late with Jacob?

Got swimming lessons today, really can't be bothered going but I had better. Bailey's sleeping has been out of whack again lately. Last night, I tried laying IN THE COT with him to try and get him to sleep. Didn't work, but he went to sleep by himself soon after I left the room. Well guys i've got SAD news :(. The laptop has DIED!!!!! Which means we are without a computer :crying:. It got struck by lightening yesterday in a freak storm! Matt is in the process of building a computer so he's just going to buy the rest of the stuff he needs and HOPEFULLY we will be back online soon. The laptop is still under warranty, but it needs to go to Perth to be fixed. I had a huge cry last night because Matt's not sure if we can get everything back which means all of Jacobs life in Photos. I'm at mums at the moment, checking the external hard drive to see whats on there. But the last time we updated that was in QLD which means the last few months in photos are missing :(.

Lee - I had to laugh! I've been tempted to get in the cot with Jacob but never did it! How was it? Comfy?!

I'm nearly certain that this baby is a boy, but so many people are saying Girl! Final decisions on names are: Girl - Ava Grace and Boy - Lucas James. I was 9 days over with Jacob!!!! So lets hope it doesnt happen this time lol.

Well best get going, will be back every few days to check in!

Oh Mel- that's awful. That amongst something happening to Bailey is my worst fear. I just love photos and I'm always saying I've GOT to put his photos onto disk- well I think I definately should hurry up and do it now. Something similar happened to a friend I know. She got burgled and they took her comp- her son's (whom was about 3-4 weeks old at the time) photos were all on there. So, first moments were gone- I just couldn't imagine not having them. My heart goes out to you Mel.:hugs:

Ava Grace is beautiful, so is Lucas James. I love both of them. I approve!

Ohmigod!
Last night was fun but annoying lol Lill I don't think is ever going to sleep through the night again... ever ever ever again!
But I had the cat and Lill in my room, Cat going skitz, Lill laughing her head off (she sounded like a doll!) so called my sister so she could hear it - I love how my sister is always awake 12-2am :D
And we were chatting about how nobody in my family likes daytime, We are ALL night owls!! I think Lill is a night owl!
Only prob with that is I only got about 3hours sleep, I think she managed 4hours.

Oh but then she told me about the cassette tape of her chatting away when she was little - When I mean chatting, I mean she was a complete gasbag, never shut up!!!
She was about the same age as Lill is now... ....I NOW can completely understand why so much talking from someone so young can be SOOOOO annoying...
I had to give Lill a hug for not being able to construct a sentence right now lol

I've had a good day though, went grocery shopping - it's fantastic to do when sleep deprived lol
I bought fish fingers because it seems to work for some of your bubs, and Lill ate them :smiliedance:
I'm so happy about that because I hate seafood and I don't want to raise her without all that stuff (basically everything I'm picky about lol).

OH Mel, my step mother was about the same over due with her first, but the second arrived on her due date! And a coincidence just hit me, you both share the same name lmao
I hope you can get at some of the photos, surely there is a way? Nothing ever seems to disappear of those hard drives...

LOL Lee! I wish I could even fit in the cot with Lill.. It's been so tempting when just sitting there looking at it lol

Tam I wanted to ask, isn't the Tony diet all milkshakes and soup? How come you haven't been slurping back those? lol oh, thats a horrible word, slurping.
I've got to admit, I used to refuse to go get a tooth pulled until I was really craving things I didn't have to chew... Milkshakes, soup and Yogo! yummmm lol

Lastly, Leesh, so don't envy you right now... keep ya bucket and biscuits ickkkyyy hehehe Oh, hope your dealing with it ok, just count down those weeks til your happy, perky, can tell everyone and like the smell of quiche :D

Better go, Hi-5 over :( lol

Hi lovely ladies!

Just a quick check in, Jacob is at daycare with Mum so I thought i'd pop around to her house! Just took Rusty to the vet, $222 later for 3 needles !!! He weighs over 7kgs the big fatty!! :)

YAY FOR LILLYA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Awww, once they start Erin they wont stop!! :p

Going to Karratha for the night tomorrow, I cant wait. I think because I know i'm going away i've got hardly NO patience with Jacob at the moment. I really need this night away, if only we had decided to go for two . He is being the King of temper tantrums and its starting to really pi*s me off! I'm ingoring it, but i'm scared hes going to hurt him self.

Sooooooo, I miss my poor laptop!! I keep trying to turn him on, but no go!

Well better go,

Mel xxx

Mel- I am with you on this one. Lately I have no patience and when Bailey wakes up after I've put him down for the night and wont go back down- I get really fustrated. Maybe because after 7pm is MY time! When he naps during the day I clean but after 7pm is the time I reserve for myself (amongst cleaning up!)
Hopefully either, they'll have less tantrums or we'll get more patience!

Mel, do you find yourself just staring at a blank screen, wondering what to do? lol
I feel sorry for ya, I'd be lost without my computer!
Enjoy the night off :D

I've had a bit of weird moment today.
I guess I've told you all what happened with my mother, and how I doubt I'll ever be able to forgive her.
Well, she turned up on my doorstep today.
I kept her waiting there, asking if she left *whatshisjunkieface* which she hasn't. She kept saying she wanted us to get along, bla bla bla. I asked her how on earth she was going to make up for 3 years of BS and lies... she doesn't know. Asked how she is going to make up with my sister, she doesn't know

I'm a bit lost about it all. I invited her in so she could at least see Lill (hasn't seen her since she was 4months). Lill didn't know who she was. We chatted for a bit, I filled her in with all details of Lill, what's been happening, the ex and life in general.

I don't know. How can I make her, make up for 3 years wasted??? She's the materialistic style person, thinks money and presents will make up for anything... ...She'd probably have to buy me a house lmao
I just don't know where to start or if I even want to???
What would you guys do in this situation??

I could go back to the way it was last time we made up. I only stuck around for the financial benefits, never forgave her for the last few times she messed me around.... but we know how that ended lol

Hey, at least something good came out of it that cheered me up. She's no longer thinner then me! rofl

Urgh.

Tonights just going to get more confusing. She finally brought around my 21st birthday present... a display cabinet from Ikea ... freaking allan keys :banghead: lol

Erin- I'd stick around for the house! Would be good to be able to paint rooms the colour you liked, put Lils toys where you would like them to go!
Seriously, maybe keep in contact with her but keep your distance. Maybe suggest that she call you every Monday night for a while- that way your testing her, keeping in contact but not letting Lil get too close to get hurt the way you did. It's a very hard situation.:hugs:

Tam- My friend is coping better, she seems much happier these days. She was diagnosed with PND but I'm not too sure if she's taking any medication. Connor is still not sleeping well, he sleeps for the first cycle of 40min- wakes up and then wont go back to sleep. She did a day stay at Trasillian a few days ago and this was no real help- they have booked her in for a residentual stay- hopefully this will help her.

Leesha- I hope your not too bogged down with work now. Not long to go!

Going to pick up Bailey's photos today. I hope they turned out alright.

Just a quick one.
Sent my mother a message saying she had to tell my grandmother the truth while I am there...
If she doesn't want to do it, it's a dealbreaker. If she really does want to change, then she will tell the truth and maybe then the rest of the family will stop treating my sister and me like lepers.

Anyway, must go, feel sick :(

Hello Guys,

Leesha- where are you? How's the ms going? Hope it's getting better.

Tam- I'm glad Tyler is getting better. I know what you mean about money (although I don't really have to pay any bills as such). I went and viewed Bailey's photos on Friday, took my sister- BIG MISTAKE! I was going to take a 4 pose package, well we couldn't decide which ones to get so I got a 12 pose album with one enlargement! Cost me $500 all up! Although I'm not going to be able to get them until about mid December- lack of $$!

Erin- Can I ask what your Mum has to tell your Nan the truth about? Your family is so much better than Home & Away, people at my sis work used to calls us a soapie family because there's always something going on, whether it be my bro and sil getting kicked out of their house, or my younger sis having a temper tantrum (yes, she's 17 and STILL has them!):p
Oh, I hope you feel better soon. I've caught something- don't know what it is. But I have a sore throat, a headache and I feel cold most of them time, even when sitting in the sun! Nurofen has REALLY helped though, I might go to the dr tomorrow- see how we go.

Well, I'll speak to you lovely ladies another time. Got an assignement to do.

How are we all? I need to take notes just about :p.

Oh my family is a friggen soap opera isn't it! lol I swear they were basing the Karl and Susan divorce on my parents... except on neighbours they stayed somewhat amicable! lmao

Anyway, my mother has to tell my grandmother the truth about what really happened at my aunties birthday (promised my sister two hours of her time without buttmunch after not speaking for 2 years... she couldn't manage that it seems!). And also the truth about what happened the night she kicked me out - but swore to my grandmother she didn't and that I was a lying cow because I said her Buttmunch was a pothead... :ecomcity:
Should be fun!

BUT! on a much MUCH happier note! Lill has been practicing her walking! lol Oh it's so cute! She wouldn't do it yesterday when my sis was around, only teased that she might... but did walk around with the car.
Then today we headed off to my friends engagement party and Lill was doing her thing, making everyone love that gorgeous smile... ahhh, I have a spawned a heartbreaker!!! lol
AND I am hoping my friend will soon be addicted to this site :smiliedance:
So cool! So So Cool!!!

Must go sleeeeeepy... have to catch up on lots of lost Z's - motherhood is crazy! lol

Aw, Lil walking, how so very cute.

Bailey's sleeping is all over the place at the moment. He's not going to sleep by himself and I don't know why. Last night I crawled into his cot AGAIN until he went to sleep- took him about 20min. He than woke up at 1am and to get him to sleep I had to old his hand- literally. :banghead:

My sister also really upset me last night- I think I was a bit emotional too. We had to go and pick my Dad up from my bro and SIL house and when we got home it was late (6pm- still had to make dinner and give him a bath)- so in turn Bailey was going to have a late night. After dinner I was going to put him in the bath which I was going to do really quickly to get him to bed. My sis comes in and says no you can't I want to have a bath (her baths are usually 30-45min long). So, Bailey had to go to bed without a bath. She can be so nasty sometimes. I'd love to turn around in 6months time and do the same to her but I couldn't do it. Not when it involves a bubby, let alone my nephew. Am I being unreasonable? All she had to do was wait like 10min. I don't know why but this really got to me last night and I cried while changing Bailey and while in his cot last night for about 30min! Am I nuts?:(

Anyway, my Mum and Dad are home today. Thank goodness we've got swimming and my Dad's gonna go over to my bro and SIL's house to hopefully try and make my nephews bed a little more stable. I had better go though, Dad think I spend too much time on this comp- HOW DOES HE THINK THE HOUSE MAGICALLY IS CLEAN WHEN HE COMES HOME FROM WORK EACH DAY? Honestly, he does not a single tihng to help around the house, not even clean the bench after dinner! Who damn well cooks the food? VERY  TODAY!

tyler's mum
31-10-2006, 09:43
lee, u are not being unreasonable i think that was very rude of ur sister:mad: i dont blame u for being upset,, t

yler never puts herself to sleep unless she is in the pram or car,, when i give her a bottle she sometimes go's to sleep or i just hold her in my arms till she go to sleep sometimes it takes forever:rolleyes:

Evening all..

gee we haven't been very busy in here lately. Ive been missing my daily quota of BH.

Lee- your not being unreasonable. A short bath for Bailey before he long one sounds like a great compromise...goodness me sisters can be a pain.

Mel- how u doin?

Tam- how's the recovery?

Erin- great news about Lill. Hope the family stuff is settling down for you.

I'm off to write reports that are due on fri and i've only had the class for 3 weeks. GRRR...wont go there!

I'm 9 weeks tomorrow. 3 more weeks and we can start telling people.

Reuel has his 2ND molar coming through- man these molars take forever and they ruin sleeping patterns.

Reuel has always fallen asleep byhimself...i do control comforting. Sometimes for sanity- it ends up being controlled crying!

Talk to you all soon...

Oh finally! I've been refusing to write the last day because I would've been talking to myself!!! lol

(just realised this may be verging on a vent...)
I have a very short fuse today. It's more then likely the lack of sleep lately that's really getting up my nose. But I've been snapping at people who offer 'helpful' advice on how to get Lill to sleep  Like I haven't bloody well tried it all... meh.
(btw, it's OK when I ask for advice, but not otherwise).

And today snapped at my dad who wants me to get up early so he can go pick up his car because he hates riding the bus.
HMMMMM, anyone else saw my response of "Well, you made me ride the friggen bus all the time growing up... DAD!" :banghead:

NHJ basically.

Oh, and now Lill won't eat properly and is getting cranky because she's hungry - how on earth do I win that battle!? lol

ARGH!

Oh, and my response to Mel's sister... grrrrrrrrrr Why didn't you tell her to bugger off??? Come on girl... let me at her lol
And just spend all that time you did cleaning, now on the computer. I always say live up to the perceptions that other people have of you... They usually start wondering why nothing is being done and then you can just slyly say "Well, I was doing it all but it was completely unappreciated so I thought you could just do it yourself... ya lazy bum"
LOL That was the kind way to say it :D

ANYWAY....someone get me a stiff drink and bubble bath :o lol

Bailey is at daycare today- must clean and do assignment due next week.

Leesha- sounds like works keeping you on your toes. I know I could not keep a house going plus a full time job- good on you. You're doing wonderfully. And good on Rohan for his part in it all as well, he's obviously a fantastic stay at home dad.

Erin- I know, Dad's can make us literally go mad! It's a tough thing to let them think they are doing everything themselves and have complete control while YOU are run off your feet compling to their every need! :banghead:

Tam- you rock Tyler to sleep? Doesn't this tire you out?

Ok, so Bailey took his first steps today! 5 or 6 in total. WOW!:smiliedance: I am so proud. They're funny little things. At the moment BAiley is trying to put a tea towel on his head and crawl with it!

LilShenanigans
02-11-2006, 00:56
Tam, hope you had fun at the counsellors!
I remember going to get over depression (took a few goes), I learnt after a while that there was no point hiding stuff from her... although she was kinda useless, but anyway.
You will get there! It may take a while, and some things about depression I actually found kind of beneficial (having someone lie to me and getting over it quickly was one thing I have held onto). But hey, I'm still figuring out who I am, but a lot happier.
Here anytime, you know that! :hugs:

Lee, it's amazing what amuses small kids. I can just imagine Bailey with a tea towel on his head lol. Lill quite likes hooded jackets, my shirts, a sock the other day? and she sometimes finds a box she can carry on her head LOL

Well, I didn't get up early, per se, just got up but ended up going around to my dads so he could go get the car.
I was getting Lill out of the car when I could hear my step mother screaming (yelling, arguing) and I thought "Bloody hell I don't want to go in there!!".
Waited a few minutes, then had to go let dad know I was there!
I wasn't even in the door 5 whole minutes, my step mother is going nana about my brother(2yo) saying she just can't take him anymore...
Lots of yelling, Lill started screaming and crying so I walked out - put her back in car and waited. All while can still hear the screaming.

Eventually my dad emerges with my brother, get him in the car and off we go.

Basically, I've told my dad the rules still apply whether it's him or her... if my sister or me think our brothers are in any sort of danger, we're taking them!! (He didn't say anything and also turns out my sister said the same thing not more then a week earlier - oops lol).
My step mother is losing the plot.

My dad even said (finally) he thinks she may have PND but she just shoots down anything he says to her, and won't seek help.
I told dad after their first I think she had PND... so this is a long time thing!!

Anyway, offered to babysit(again - always do!!), my dad called her and she just said NO!

My poor brother doesn't know what's going on. He's a happy kid, but when she goes mental he gets so upset. And she only goes nuts about things a 2yo normally does!! And for a 2yo he's actually quite well behaved!!!!!

Went to the shops after that to try and clear my mind, but sister called and we were talking about it all (This kind of stuff has been going on for weeks). Ended up driving over to her place and spent pretty much all day there.

On a brighter (and more painful note), I did glimpse a tooth pushing through... Wanted to see if another was coming up on the otherside and I was bitten - HARD!!!
I had 3 deep teeth marks in my finger that were purple for a while there!! :crying: lol

Um, lastly I guess, I never think Lill will sit in the bath again... she hasn't for weeks. Just wants to stand up all through the bath. And she refuses to lie down to get her hair washed... but hates water on her face right now.
Very curious to know if there's a product called "Restraina-bathin-kid"... I think I dreamt it though  lol

That's horrible when the kids are scared. I really feel for your brother and you for having to watch him go through that. If and when I ever get married, I hope I will not raise my voice towards my DH in front of my kids. My Mum says awful things about my Dad, and it's now starting to affect how I think of them both. You know when someone points out an annoying trait and from that moment on, that's all you can see is this annoying thing they do. Well, my Mum is always doing this and I feel it's really affecting te way I veiw my Dad and now, my mum as well.

Anyway, better start to get going. We'll see you later Tam. Talk to the rest of you later.

Hello to all mums, dads and bubs!

I have just been catching up on all the posts cause I have not had a chance to get here for a while, and I am bad and only log on at work, no computer at home....

Hope all are well, and can't believe the mums that are about to have number 2! We are thinking about TTC#2 mid next year and already wondering how do they do it!

Have a good weekend everyone hope the sun shines for you, (literally or figuratively!)

Oh and thank you for your advice on Archie's anti bread stance, we have made a few advances, now he eats a bit, plays with the rest, but what can you do??!!

03-11-2006, 20:59
LOL Jen, like all food besides sweets, kid's will play with them for years.
Glad to know your trying to stick around, don't fuss too much about being up-to-date... it doesn't matter most days.

Lee, I think your very on the mark there about the perception of people. The reason we made the rule was because my dad was the mental case when we were growing up and it's very hard rebuilding a relationship like that.
Anyway, I'm just worried she is going to do something, especially while my dads at work. And it's one of those things I can't do anything about or act on, until something happens - it's the worse feeling right now.

But, I would like to cheer this up a little lol
Lill is doing great with her walking!!
The other day my sister and me had both her hands and she was so excited to be walking like that (usually refuses), so now I've been walking her around and she loves it!
And today she's been trying her walking all by herself :D

AND better stuff today was she was all very sooky and cuddley... she wanted real hugs! And even laying on my chest like she used to do many many months ago :o
Then tonight I had her standing up at arms length and she had her hands in the air and walking.... then falling into a cuddle ...
awww ... She melts my cold heart that one lol

I also think she may have 3 teeth trying to come through at the same time. I'm getting very short glimpses on white bits on the gums, but my finger isn't going anywhere near her again!!
...But I am trying to make other people make the same mistake :devil6:

So had a good day, finally. And my car got washed (a la rain style) and I'm about to go colour my hair again... but nothing spectacular (too old for that).. just brown lol

Hello Everyone.

Good to see you Mel and Archies Mum.

Mel- that's awful. Bronc must be horrible. I hope he gets better soon the poor mite.

Archies Mum- Good to see Archie is making friends with the bread!

Went and saw Tam yesterday- Tyler is getting around. She walks like a pro, and so many toys- Bailey was gobsmacked! Bailey tried to close the toy box lid on Tylers head- she didn't like that very much. And Tyler tried kissing, cuddling and sitting on Bailey's back which he was crawling- he didn't like that very much. Ah, the things we have to look forward to. Bailey also stole Tyler's peeled and cored apple and LOVED it. So, yesterday afternoon we went and got some apples and a corer. He had one this morning and absolutely LOVED it.

Bailey's sleeping is really bad lately. He wont go to sleep without me holding his hand- last night I fell asleep beside his cot while holding his hand through the railing. This morning he wouldn't go down and is now asleep on the coach with my sis- any ideas?

Anyway, I had better go and check on my fritata- making it for Bailey's lunch. Hope it turns out ok.

Erin- haha, that is so cute. Couldn't you just go nuts with the clothes. I get Bailey a good swimming outfit from thhe cancer council each summer. But gee whiz, it's tempting to just get one in each colour because they are just so cute. Do you go to the pools much or does someone close have a pool Erin? We are very much a water family, we have a pool here and the boys are ALWAYS in it (spa in the colder months, pool in the hotter months).

I had a wedding on Sat night. My plan was to go and come ome, but my friends managed to persuade me to go to the club afterwards, anyway- I didn't get home until 3.30am (Extreamly late for me), and then we went and had dinner at The Mean Fiddler in Rouse Hill last night- was really good. When going out to dinner, do you guys buy the kiddies their dinner or do you take your own? My friend bought his daughter her dinner and she hardly ate any of it (plus I think it was an adults main of spag bol), I took Bailey's and got them to heat it up. I just found this so much better; I know what's in it, I know he likes it and it's a hell of allot cheaper. I usually give him some chippies if he ate all his dinner and is wanting something else but there only from my plate.

Tam- they did have fun didn't they. It was good, something we might have to do more oftern.

Have we lost our Leesha?

We went to the plaza yesterday and I couldn't help myself but to layby more things for chrissi. Seeing as Bailey absolutely LOVED Tylers train, I went and lay-byed the Amazing Animals train (it was on special at Target but they had no stock, so I laybyed it at BIG W hoping that they'll have a sale soon and I will be able to get it out and refund it and re-purchase it), and we were having a look at everything else and playing with the walk along pooh, when we pressed the hand and he started walking- Bailey went nuts. He started flapping his arms with the biggest grin so I lay-byed that as well. I thing I'm done for him. I've just gotta get everything out of lay-by and get his rocking horse and rocking chair. Note to self- can NOT go overboard next chrissi, he will definately know what's going on.

Ok, I had better go my sil is coming over and I've still gotta get ready for playgroup.

lol Glad to see your still kicking it Mel!

Lee, I totally know about the clothes! I was supposed to go and buy myself something... but argh, I haven't been able to buy myself ANYTHING in over a year!! I just can't do it! lol
I spent about an hour wandering around the kiddies clothes thinking "oooh I like this, oh maybe that... ooh oooh I LOVE this"...
$75 later  lol

Which leaves me in a complete conundrum over Christmas... I haven't bought squat. lol
I keep trying to find something new and interesting for Lill, but it's all cr@@@@@@p! I can't stand these bloody things that I doubt Lill will even enjoy!
Don't even get me started on my brothers stuff, nothing for them either... I'm completely lost!!

Anyway.

For dinners out I used to feed Lill (she wasn't on solids lol), the one time I have been out with a friend and she could manage food I didn't take anything, fed her before hand... but found out during the night that she loved tomatoes and spat out lettuce. She generally just picked at our food...
Otherwise if I was taking her out I think she would deserve a break herself and I'd probably try and get her nuggets or something...

Guess what! I finally got the op to have a look at Lills teeth. Although she did try to bite a few times, it was a constant stream of 'No... Nooooo... NO..." lol and she backed off.
BUT, she IS getting teeth through... Two where I thought they would be! Two new bottom teeth, but right next to eachother.
Here's the scary part... She's getting her fangs at the same bloody time!!!!!
FOUR TEETH AT ONCE! No wonder she's been a pain... but I feel better now as it could've been so much worse!

Isn't that scary? From 8 teeth straight to 12?? Jaysus... Kids are frightening!

Surely are Erin. I think I might have to restrain Bailey and get in there to have a look. 12 teeth? Wow, she's movin on up now.

Christmas. Well, I have the complete opposite problem Erin, I've found too much! Is Lil into dolls? Prams? Cars? Trains? Bailey pretty much loves anything that he can push along the ground. He's letting us see his real little boy side lately, loving his cars. He prectically takes them everywhere. What about the new Elmo, the TMX one? I think it rolls around laughing or something. What does Lil like doing?

Bailey's got daycare today. I have an assignment due next Tuesday. It's a written report and presentation. I haven't even started so I am in BIG trouble and must get started. Today I will be hitting the books.

Mel- good to see your still alive. I love painting, it feels like a fresh start. a new room, a new place. Can't wait until your back on more frequently. It feels like it's just Erin and I and it's getting pretty lonely. I get so excited when I see someone else posted. Sad.

lol HEY LEE! Hows our thread going? lol

It's sad hey? I get excited too just to see someone besides myself posting! lol

Honestly, have no idea what Lill is into... She doesn't really play with any of her toys, which makes spending the silly amounts of $$$ on them hurt even more lol

I'm thinking of just getting a couple of outfits and a hi5 DVD (least I know she loves Hi5 lol).
And if I see something I really like, I'll get her extra toys she may have missed out on after christmas...

....IF only I could buy another me, then I know for sure she'd play with it... lol

Weeee, emoticons... :xmas: :reindeer:

..ok going... lol

Oooo Erin, posting during the day! Hey yeah, new simlies! Must try. :tree:  :wizard:

How many sleeps is Lil having during the day? I think Bailey is moving from 2 to 1. He usually has an early morning sleep but then isn't ready for another nap until about 3.30-4, which if he goes to sleep then, he doesn't go sleep at bedtime at 7pm. So, I'm going to trial run a new sleep routine for a week. I'm going to try and keep him up til after lunc (which is early anyway at 11:30am) and then put him down for a nap. :fingerscrossed: it works.

Ok, must go, my friend is here.

LilShenanigans

I know! such normalcy is... Weird and new territory...
lol

It's frightening, the house is spotless, Lill's fed to the brim (shes not annoying me for my lunch!)... everythings done, I'm so bored!

Lill switched to one nap a day a while back (When she stopped breastfeeding for like two days??)... when she gets tired, she goes for a nap which is usually about 4.30/5pm, but she doesn't sleep for long.
On rare occasions she's wanted a nap earlier, but that means she wants another 'nap' at about 7.30 which doesn't work, coz then she won't sleep at night.

All very relaxed around here, never set a routine or anything.. just never suited either of us.

Sadly, I have no real purpose to use the new smilies... so sad... :wizard: lol

Wow, she goes a whole day without a nap. Seeing as she doesn't really like her toys- what does she do? What time is er bedtime?

This is very exciting, I've been able to post twice in one day!!!!

Weee Heee! Posts from strange people! Oh wait.. no, I remember Mel :p

Ok, Lee First!
lol She annoys me! lol

Sometimes she'll walk around with her car, but that's only recently. Otherwise she's climbing all over the couch, then all over me and trying to get to the table to tear everything up!

It's only when I can escape that she wanders off into her own little world, but often she finds something other then a toy to play with. I think this week is straw week, she loves straws right now lol

And this is going to sound really bad, but her bedtime is about 9pm... lol Although, thinking logically, I managed to bring it back from 1am... so we're on our way! lol But 9 is good for us both, we're not morning girls and I think I would've died months ago if she was waking up before 7am...

WELCOME ELLYSHAY!
That's the date I was due.. but knew Lill was coming much earlier.
She isn't running around, we're just managing to get our feet flat on the ground for a bit of walking! lol
Recently, she's learnt what the word Hug means... AND even gives hugs after asking for one lol
...And she's learning to push boundaries and patience... Can't think of anything else right now lol

Lastly, Dammit Mel now I've got the tune Ava Maria in my head! Actually, kinda like it :D
So thankful Matts got his backside in gear and making sure your back online ASAP.
Please, remind me one day to send a box of roses his way and a book... He can eat and read while you catch up lol

OH WAIT! I showed my sister today how Lill does her walking hug. She's been doing that thing where I stand her up, I put my arms out and she walks to me for the biggest hug!
It was SO Funny today because my sister was sitting opposite me, and Lill was walking back and forth for hugs... Got a good shot on video and want to post it somewhere... so when I figure that out, I'll share it :)

....Wow, that was a long post!

Wow, Erin- it's like seeing people from a different planet. A planet where people arn't attending Bubhubbers Annonymous!

MEL- good to see you, I hope you'll be back online more permantly soon. Missed your pregnancy!! Congrats to your cousin, but wasn't Ava the name you liked for a girl? Did shhe steal your name? I hate that, back to the drawing board.

ELLYSHAY!- Welcome. Like Erin, my beautiful babe is not walking around unaided as yet. Although he can walk from people to people and stand alone if and when he doesn't realised he's not holding on or someone isn't holding him. I know he can do it, it's more a confidence thing. He gives kisses, says Bailey, Mum, Ta Ta and I think Nan. He likes to play chasings and loves his cars and anything else he can push along the ground. What's your little one doing?

Erin- Hey, there's nothing wrong with a late bedtime. Especially for someone who has your strange body clock. I have an idea for Lil's christmas, what about a climbing frame, I've seen them at Target or Kmart I think. Just a thought. Do you live in a house or an apartment?

I did my budget up until Christmas yesterday- it was very depressing. I am so tight, it's not funny. I hope I've got enough, or maybe Santa'll give me an early Chrissi present- I wish!!!

Better go, talk later girls.

Lee - Yeah that was OUR name, but I dont care - Still going to use it if bubs is a girl (Which I highly doubt!). Shes only a third cousin, but it just makes it easier to call her a cousin :p.

Matt stayed up late last night with the computer and is installing Windows now (I'm at mums!).

Jacob has cut through his two molars, god damn I hate teeth! Why cant everyone have falsies? But hopefully these are it for awhile! He is slooowwwly getting over his cough :D!

Glad to hear you're all doing well. I'll be back to my normal Bubhubbing posts in 4 weeks time- school hols. My school had to give 40 redundancies on Tuesday last week... i got one of them because i cost too much. So no work for me next year. Back to being a SAHM. It's so frustrating when i only needed the maternity pay..and one more term of work. Oh well..

I'm 11 weeks this wednesday- going for my ultrasound on wed too. Very excited- this m/s is driving me nuts.:banghead:

Attack of the mothers from Outer Space! hehehe
Geeze... now I gotta catch up!

In order lol

Lee - What exactly is a climbing frame?? I've never seen one... are they safe? I should have a looksies. I live in a townhouse btw, wish the backyard was better so I could stick lill out there, but too unsafe :(
I was even contemplating a swing, but have no where to hang something like that! lol

Tam - I'm a bit lost with that one? Early rebellion? lol I know Lill is starting to get the hint that mummy doesn't like having her hair pulled, smacked in the face and her boney ankles digging into mummies stomach (OWWWIEEE! lol). I usually just say "Don't do ..." or "Mummy doesn't like... ...."
Sometimes I just can't help it and have to scream - Thats when she's really hurt me and I can't hold it in! lol Frightens the hell out of the poor girl but she knows straight away she doesn't want to hear it again.
That's all I can think of...
BUT GLAD YOU HAD A GOOD TIME AWAY! WELCOME BACK TO MOTHERHOOD

Leesh - I am sorry to hear about that... kinda glad your back(ish) though :o
Are you thinking about taking on another job before number 2?
Did your work know you were pregnant? I was just thinking that'd be a top reason for choosing you for a redundancy to save money!
It's such a bugger of a time...

Mel - YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY YYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY YYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

Well, thats about me done lol Nothing much happened today... went to lunch, went shopping, came home... Lill wouldn't eat, Lill went to bed... I'm bored. Ahh, if I could only extend that I could write a novel of my life :D

Hi Lovely Ladies!

I've gone back a FEW pages!

Tam - We both hadnt talked for awhile and when she said 'Have you chosen names' I told her our names and then she said that they had ALSO chosen Ava.

It sounds like you had a GREAT time away!!

Leesha - Thats terrible about your job! Is your DH going to go back to work earlier then expected then?

Lee - How is Bailey going? And his sleeping?

Jacob is going to move into his new room tonight! He keeps going in there, having a look around. It looks great, i'm so proud of it! Will take some photos tomorrow and will post them.

Well best be off :D

LoL Tam... Ok, she's a pain, let's hope you can wrangle her in by the teens... hmmm, That'd be funny to watch Tyler in teen years... so hope we stay in contact lol

Thinking about pregnancy, you can tell a lot about what type of kid your gonna have...
Lill was violent, kicking all the time... After she's born the legs haven't stopped. My sister has created the nickname "Kicky", which 2yo Bro has learnt to say and doesn't understand who Lillya is? lol

I feel like I've just had the longest day...
I was going to post this morning at 8.30am as I was on, just to shock you guys, but couldn't think of anything to say lol

Well, I was up to receive my Homecare order - I bought a new mop!!(amongst other things)... the mop is freaking awesome! I gave it a spin tonight and I think I just found a new love in my life lol

About an hour after that arrived I got chatting to customer service at 3 because I wanted to upgrade my phone. At first it was because I was bored, but I told them today I need something that has keypad lock(mines flip phone at the moment) because my dear loving chatty daughter has been calling people.
lol
Spent an hour on the phone sorting out that. Am getting the Sony Ericson k800i on Tuesday :smiliedance:

Whilst on the phone to him, he came back from holding and said his mate just told him Belinda had died - I thought he was joking! Didn't think much of it...

Did some vague cleaning for about 2 hours...mmm ok house was spotless lol
Did Lills hair up in piggytails... Just felt like it! Will post pics later lol
Went for a drive... bla bla bla.

Got home, sat down for the first time at about 2pm... And the thought of my grandmother suddenly flooded back. Realised that it was about a week after she passed from cancer that Belinda was publicly declared to have breast cancer.

Oh that fugged with my day!

Therapeutic relaxation, I decided to polish the silver.
I sound really posh saying that, but it's stuff I picked up from deceased relies :o

Anyway, standing in the kitchen looking out the window, watching this bee buzz around the window... Go back to polishing.
Look out window about 10 minutes later, see approx. 30 or so bees buzzing around my window... Get a little freaked out by that.
Go to call my dad and he isn't home yet
Can't think of anyone else to call, then my mother calls me asking if the hot water is ok.

She can hear I am little worried, and then squeal a little as I notice there's a bee now INSIDE buzzing around the window trying to get out!
I'm completely bloody lost about how the damn thing got IN in the first place!
Mum tells me to kill it and says she'll come around to get rid of them shortly.

Dad finally called me back, wasn't helpful. Told me not to try and kill them as they would probably do more damage to me.

Half an hour later my mother calls and says she spoke to the council for the area and they gave her a number that nobody seems to answer!
She was going to wait another half hour before heading over incase this guy called her back.
She called me again about 10 minutes after, and said she spoke to a bloke who deals with wasps, but knows about bees.

By this time I've killed the one bee inside, and another has somehow gotten in!

She told me that apparently they are just looking for a home and will more then likely move on by next morning - otherwise I have a problem.
And that the bee inside would get stressed out because it's just trying to get back to the swarm, since it's stressed it'll die on it's own...
It dies shortly afterward :D

So, try to forget bees, get my cat inside who then continues to sit in the window and watch them... finds dying bee and wants to eat it. It's ok, she probably got stung, but she's not swollen and seems ok! lol

Then finally time to get back to my cleaning, speaking to my sister, cooking dinner, messaging friends and avoiding bad TV...

I get a call tonight from a girl I used to work with and have kept in reasonable contact. Apparently, her families all packed up and ready to move to a new house... but don't have a house.
So the families pretty much all temporarily split up, but she needs to stay near Sydney as she works and studies here...
So for the next few weeks or however long need be, I will have a flatmate! lol

Oh and I had a fun night. I vacuumed, mopped, cleaned kitchen/lounge/laundry/bathroom, then I tackled my rug as it has numerous stains all over. So gave that a good scrub, vacuum and another scrub... took me about 1.5hrs lol and still looks cruddy lol

Now I'm here!

It really doesn't sound like much, but it feels very long for me and I'm very tired now...
I suppose I didn't have to do a workout this morning considering the day it's been!! lol

Oh and the bees have finally moved on!!

Tomorrow, bestie is over... it'll be good... she knows where the fridge is and can be left to her own devices!

Melo

Goodness Erin! A novel :p. I enjoy reading your posts though, very witty and I always end up with a smile on my face!

I got a new mop too and tried it out this morning.. LOVE IT! My floors are shining :D!

It was so sad to hear about Belinda wasnt it? Poor Rove :(. Just been looking at Google Earth and have realised the people next door to us has a pool :D!!! Need to get to know them I think (Although Mum just lives 4 minutes away with a pool!!).

So what was the outcome with the Bees?

LilShenanigans
12-11-2006, 01:31
PMSFL!! You had to look on google earth to find out your neighbours have a pool! LOL
Oh the technology age, What have you done!? lol

My floors are shiney too! woohoo! lol So is my rug but hopefully that'll dry by morning  lol

I honestly can't believe how Rove has been doing his show... To think what he would've been going through! I can remember watching my grandmother slowly decline in health til the last few weeks when it all just went... It was traumatic to say the least.
And that last week when the doctors said "She won't see the end of the week" ... jebus! Well, she made it past the wednesday, just... But the docs told us to say goodbye that night :(
Least I'm finally at that stage of not so much being upset by it, rather appreciating what she did... you know, the laugh at silly things she said when they pop in your head?

Oh so depressing! Anyway...

I'm guessing the bees found a new home elsewhere? They disappeared late in the afternoon, but will have to check in the morning incase they just went quiet as they apparently do that lol
My sister told me to keep an eye out incase they didn't travel far - like in the garden next to the window lol

I know for sure now I don't want to be reincarnated as a bee - Die when stinging something/someone, die when stressed, die because you've annoyed the queen... They should really be extinct the rate their going! lol If only it was that easy to kill flies...

Melo
12-11-2006, 09:32
Oh yes, how technology changes us!!!! Haha!

We dont get Rove up here, but I too can't believe he still has been working! Suppose must take his mind off it.

Thats good to hear about the Bees Erin :D!

SimplyMum
13-11-2006, 08:10
Ok, Wow....

Mel- good to have you back with us! There's only so much 'small talk' you can fill the space in here!

Erin- I hate bees! In GP, people have heaps of those trees which attract bees, what are they called.....the red ones. Every time I walk past them in the summer you can hear the buzz buzz and I make a point to keep my mouth closed! I hope they do move one!

I have a massive assignment due tomorrow and I'm still not finished. I'm starting to really freak out. I hope Bailey and I have a good day!

Oh, and I got a job (well kind of). My friend's Mum runs her own business and doesn't have time to do the books, and she knows I'm struggling a little in MYOB abd would like the experience. So she has asked me to do her books for her. I'll probably get stuck into it in about a weeks time (once the exams and stuff are over). I'm so excited. :smiliedance:

Ok, Questions.

Mel- Bailey's sleeping is still not good. For some reason he wont go to sleep by himself. I don't know why but I do know it's starting to get really annoying. I hope it gets better soon otherwise I might go nuts!

I know there were more but I can't remember.

I sent my dad an email asking whether they took it there instead, he sent an email back which basically said "Nope, sorry. Call us!".
WTF??

MEN = STOOPID!:yes:

I really should be in bed, but I just watched the last episode of Point Pleasant and came online to find out Fox cancelled it.. that was the LAST one! I hate Fox so much, they cancel anything good because Americans are too stupid to enjoy good TV... Hello Everyone.
I did my presentation last night. I thought it went really well but the teacer obvisouly didn't think so. I only got about 70% (he hadn't marked it completely, that was just an estimate)- I mean, geez it was a good presentation. We had photos, products, scenarios!

I have another exam tonight and than thank goodness it's break until next Monday. Tat's wen te big exam is. Worth 50% and it's external. I've changed Bailey's daycare day to Friday this week- to help out with cleaning for my sisters baby shower, and Monday next week to do the exam.

Oh and Mel- Bailey's sleeping has seem to have gona back to normal- thank goodness. He's also not so clingy, he can actually play by himself for about 20min at a time which is GREAT! How's Jacob's eating going?

Erin- that climbing frame was a target I think. I'm pretty sure I saw it in there catalogue. But I don't think a townhouse backyard would be big enough to fit it in.

Leesha- that's a bummer about the job. It would have fitted in nicely wouldn't it. I'm an organised person (most of the time) and when things don't go to te way I have planned, I get pretty stroppy. Are you showing yet? How's the ms going, I hope it has subsided some.

Well, I have to go and do shopping today so I had better hurry up and go and ave a shower hang a load of wasing out and put another load on. Have a good day all.

I'M GOING TO SCREAM, we've been up for about 20 minutes and i'm already over Jacob. He's been an alright little turd already!

He pulled my vase off the dressing table, and then we were cuddling in my bed and he BIT my boob (No, i'm not breastfeeding but he just thought it was okay too bite! I had a t-shirt on too ). Kinda let that slide because he doesnt REALLY know, but it hurt like hell and then hes pulled all the CD's out.

Ohhhhh its going to be a LONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNG day :(

*vent over*

Tam - finally saw the photos this morning! Makes me so want to be at the beach! lol
Tyler looks gorgeous, love her swimming gear.
Have a weird thing for swimmers lately lol

Lee - How big are they??? I think I have a fairly large yard lol But still, not very keen to put anything out there...

Mel - hope your day gets better!!

Leesha, where you are, hope your feeling ok... not too stressed and m/s under control :fingerscrossed:

Well, for me, I thought today was going to be better.
Right now Lill is asleep, she fell asleep on the floor about 1pm, and is still there.
Before that, she threw up about 6 times.
It's very likely she has that gastro thing? :(
I dunno about going to a doctor, if she needs anything or whether it just has to pass.
..
Will be getting my phone this arvo and will ring dad - My brothers just got over gastro that's why it's likely she has it... I hate when bugs hang around long after people are better

Oh yucky. Poor little Lil. My friend rang me today saying the was not going to be in class because she thinks she may have caught the gastro bug. We did our presentation last night together so I hope she didn't give it to me.
Tell me Erin- why did you pick the name Lilyan? Was it off the rugrats?

I'm not really sure where it was, how big it was, or how much it was (a wealth of information). I will try and find a pic on the net.

Jacob is being better this arvo, although he has only slept for 1.5 hours so its going to be all fun and games at around 5ish!!

I've just sent him out the back to play with Rusty, although I can hear Rustys tags so I bet Jacob has let him inside! (Oh dont worry, I can still see Jacob, theres a big window next to me! :p).

Well, she's gotten rid of everything in her stomach, took 9 goes... lol
I'm kinda proud of one, when I was opening the garage door and she went for it - I tilted her forward so it didn't get on herself or me.

...Unfortunately in the car she went off like a fountain  YUK! lol

Dropped around to dads absolutely mad as hell, couldn't find post office, Lill was a mess... lol He's just told me it has to pass, and what I should be giving her.
At the moment I'm giving her very small amounts of water to make sure it stays down and sloppy food...

Oh and at least I now have my phone! The second I turned it on my sister called asking where the hell I've been! lol She was about to drive over tonight :o

LOL And it's Lillya not Lilyan... From her great great grandmother (who only passed this year) Lillah.. Great woman :D

Alright, better get back to it...

Well,it's late... I've just done some cleaning, which I should've done during the day... but the whole wiping up chuck really took my stomach and motivation! lol

But I have good news... No Lill is still sick.
But, she crawled off the couch (She's spent majority of the day on the couch!), she crawled across the cushion I had on the floor for her... she stood up, and off she went!!! LOL

She walked to the stairs, turned around, walked to the TV... turned around etc etc!! :smiliedance:
She did this about 5 times, and the length is about 4-5metres!! AHH I'm so proud!

I just realised tonight that there is something new everyday, and I just started crying thinking "I want my baby to stop growing!"
...Well, that's when I started cleaning lol

I think I'm gonna head to bed... have found my phone has radio and great stereo sound! Gonna sleep well

Wow Erin- gee whiz, while she's sick and all. What a star. Did you get pics of her walking. Everytime Bailey does something new, Mum's like- You should be recording this. :p Bailey tried using his spoon and fork like knife and fork the other night, and was trying to cut his dinner with his fork. Mum's going, 'Where's the camera, where's the camera!'

Oh yeah, I knew it was Lillya I don't know what made me say Lilyan- Sorry Erin.:o

I've gotta go and do some more shopping for my sis baby shower.
You know what I'm sick of, money. There just never seems to be enough! I always look forward to payday but the day after payday there's nothing left anyway.

Bailey woke up last night coughing and wheezing, I think he's croup as come back. He sounded so bad, I hope it doesn't stick around for long.

Mel- how did your night go? Is Jacob on one sleep a day now?

Gonna go and get some breaki.

Lee - Jacob is going really well with his sleeping! He didnt go to bed until after 9  and then it was a fight! He was SO happy though, which was good and he didnt get up until 9:10am this morning. His poor nappy was about to explode!!

He is only having one sleep a day, and thats in the afternoons. We've been going down to Daycare every morning. I've been doing some work in the office from 9:30-12pm so he has a play with the kids and actually EATS!! And then we come home, nappy change, bottle and then bed. Although he has only slept for 1 hour today! So its going to be interesting at around 5pm when he is dead to the world tired.

I'm going to go and fill his pool outside and we are going to have a swim later. Should be fun... I'm sure Rusty is going to want to jump in too lol.

Jacob has been eating REALLY well. I'm going to get him a little table and chairs when we go down to Perth so he can sit and eat at because he HATES the highchair and at daycare he sits at the table with the 'big' kids and eats everything :D.

My mum is excatly the same Lee, you should be taping this... He wont be doing it in a few years, which is true I suppose!

NFI! Lill wasn't anywhere near it! So either I'm jinxed or I was sent a dud! lol

So thankful I had it for a short while though, got a message from mother dear who wants to come around and asked her to mind while I get some errands done...

Now adding to my list of things to do tomorrow is go down to 3 dealer and yell, scream, demand, throw tanties and ORDER THEM TO GIVE ME NEW PHONE THEN AND THERE!! And Get My Info Off This ONE!! :gloomy:

What the hell is going on this week!?

I've been so worried to touch anything! I won't use the microwave, get nervous that the fridge is going to pop when I open the door! God forbid my computer goes next...!!
If I disappear after this, please be aware that my computer has blown up and I will be kicking down the walls :banghead:

Sony Ericsson k800i, thing is a few people I know have this phone, but I seem to be the only one whose talented enough to mess it up! lol

Hello fellow mummies.

Erin- I'd be definatley showing that you know how to throw a good tantrum when warranted. Give Lil a run for her money!

Been cleaning ALL day! Got my sisters baby shower tomorrow so we cleaned the entire house, and can you imagine there's still more to do.

Well, can be bothered typing- talk later.

Have I got a story for you guys!!
Well, yesterday I had about 3 hrs sleep because Lill came to my bed at 2.30 since she wasn't sleeping, I fell asleep about 3, but then she decided to wake at 5.40am and I got narky and got out of bed.

Cleaning up all morning trying to make time go faster waiting for my mother turn up.
At 10am I hear someone come through the front door, I was like WTF??
My sister came over with breakie!! I was shocked and asked 'do u know mums coming over today?" lol
Well, she lent me her phone so I could call my mother and tell her to wait a bit to come over.
Then called 3care and asked if they could fix the phone, if I'd get a loan phone from the store... etc. Not very helpful.

Before my sister left, she couldn't find her sim card. Last time I saw it, it was on the couch and by now I'm freaking out that Lill has swallowed it!!
We searched everything, pulled up cushions, went through bags 3 or 4 times... and nothing!
About 20 minutes later my sister turns around and sees her sim on the shelf! ARGH!

So waving her off at the front door, she drives down and my mother is driving up lol SO CLOSE!

I get Lill to sleep and then head off to Blacktown as they apparently have a 3store.
I look up the directory, find the store and then start walking.
I walked the length of that place twice and they don't have a store!
This has now happened to me twice, and I'm never going back to that shoddy place.

Anyway, head home, Lill is now awake and apparently really grumpy that she couldn't find me when she woke.
After a bit of chatter, it's decided mum will come down to Parra and if Lill throws up, she can deal with it lol

Got chatting to the sales guy about my problem, he says 'no worries' and expects to just hand over a new phone. I have to then explain to him that I have photos and vid of my daughter including her walking! I need to take any chance to get them off!
So more fussy around, and he mentions I could try and get it repaired at this place in Auburn...
Can't promise anything, but hey I'm refusing to take a new phone and he's run out of ideas lol

So heading off again to the M4, on the way there I have two jerk drivers in front of me.
One right in front - actually pretty much beside me- tries to get in front of me! After honking and not bloody hitting my brakes, he speeds up in front of the other car.
I'm a couple of metres away from my turn, so jump in the bus lane. (yes, your allowed to do that :p ).

The guy who was trying to drive into the side of me, tried to do it again!!
He got the hint first beep, thought all good and well... Went to turn the corner and out of bloody no where, this black car turns!
NO INDICTOR and FROM THE MIDDLE LANE!!!
They hit the front of my car, I pull over onto the curb and start freaking out!
Because I haven't replaced my license and after all the sh*t this week I start crying.

My mother takes over, hops out of the car to have a chat.
Of course the guy is one of those types "Yeah, my cousin can fix that for ya.. no probs"
So switch info, mum gives them her addy and number - after questioning later, she says she doesn't want them turning up on my doorstep ... good thinking.

She takes over driving and we finally get to Auburn, Lill's asleep so I hop out and check the car.
I'm shocked!
From the loud bang and force of the accident, I have a couple of scratches... thats it!
I realise if my car was metal at the front, it'd be all scrunched up and I'm now slightly relieved.

Head into the repair place, the chick at the counter says it's easy fixed. I asked if I will be able to get photos off it and she says no, it needs a software update which will wipe it out!
I again feel like crying!!
She said there was about 85% I would lose everything, to which I replied, look, if I have 15% of getting them back, I will take the chance!

She headed out the back for about 20 minutes, came back and my phone was on!
I was shocked and thinking wtf?
Apparently the guys out the back 'boosted' it so it will work for a couple of days, should be enough time to get the info off it and then I can switch it.
You can NOT imagine the relief I was feeling by that point!!

BUT... I got into the car, put my sim card in and the screen was flickering again.
I just said if the phones really stuffed then I have no other options.. so lets just go home and forget about it. So switched the phone off.

On the way home I decided to pick up a cheap spare phone because I was getting paranoid about not having a useful phone incase of an emergency.
I also dropped into woolies to pick up some odds and ends because I'd made the decision I wasn't going anywhere tomorrow(today).

Whilst at checkout, the lady asked me for ID, to which I just laughed and asked if she was being serious! lol
She came back and said sorry, she had to ask as she wasn't sure... and that I should take it as a compliment.
By this point I'm incredibly emotional and just want to bawl again.
I said I will probably smile about it later, after more then 3 hours sleep... but it's nice now considering I have a 14month old!

So left the shop a bit chirpier but still thinking about this stupid phone.

Later that night I'm setting up my computer so maybe I can get the info across.
After much hassles, I eventually find out the phone/computer won't synch up!
The phone was still stuffed :(

It was about this point that I got that feeling as if someone was playing chinese whispers with my gut when I thought about my sim card.
I thought I would quickly set my other phone up so I could call my bestie to come around and lend me her sim card and save my sanity - Just at that second she popped up on MSN and I blubbed it all to her that I was going insane and now I think my sim card is stuffed! lol

She offers to come around so long as I offer a couch to sleep on.. it's a deal!

WELL! She came around and after telling her all about my day, she put her sim in my phone and MY PHONE WORKS!!!! OMFG!
After all that and the possibility that if I had given up and gotten a new phone, it was all just my stupid sim card that probably got ruined in the old phone!!!

The night went much better, I can assure you of that!

This morning I headed back to the 3store explained everything, and was set up with a new sim card... and my phone works!
There's been no accidents today, people stayed out of my way on the road and I've had a pleasant day lol

I was going to chance buying a lottery ticket, but figured as long as majority of everything from this week is fixed, that's as much luck as I bloody well need!!!

LOL Thanks for reading another chapter in this fascinating novel of mine lol

Oh and Lill is slowly getting better, I'm about to call up about the vac (will let ya know) and I think i've lost weight this week - not the best way to lose it, but I definately don't need it lol
